2: Self- Saving Meat

The feeling of a sudden warmth on his skin had made him look down, as it creates a small trump on her part.

She'd caught his attention back, and now she only needed to do was beg for it. To help her leave this rotting place. Away from the butcher who will soon cut her into many parts if she does not ask this man to take her away.

Gasping, Sol Ming held  tightly, and waited. Her throats feel so dry. It made her feel frustrated, still and all, the only chance to leave this rotting place was placed upon this man.

She does not know why, but she trusts her intuition. As long as she can be away from that butcher's line of sight, then she is willing to be in this man's hands for now.

However, when she was ready to open her mouth, a twinge of pain at her back had made her squirm subconsciously.

Shan Yang who does not want to delay his time has kicked Sol Ming's scrawny arm away from him and found his voice whispering, " You can die later."

"Wa...wait..." Sol Ming felt wronged. No one had ever treated her like this. Even the kick didn't hurt that much.

She can't accept it. She wants to yell or scream at the man like she used to.

But, the circumstances wouldn't let her act whatever she likes.

After failing to hold  Shan Yang, she pushed the bitterness away and gave in to begging for the sake of survival.

"Don't. . .go. . . Don't leave. . .me..." Sol Ming try so hard to speak, wishing for Shan Yang to listen at least.

That has turned into a long silence between the two of them.

She wants to say something under each other's gazes, but facing the pair of colored eyes has closed her thoughts.

Gold was the first word she could think of after realising the other person had the same eye color and resemblance to her favorite type of jewellery.

Such an existence has never been heard of, and Sol Ming has never met a real person with eye colors that weren't grey, green, blue, brown or black.

It made her wonder. Whether this world she has woken up is a normal primitive period or not?

At the same time, Sol Ming cannot hide her hidden desire for the idea of making money at the black market if she is able to get her hands on those eyes.

Just imagine that! If there's a way to go back in her world, she can make money on such a rare kind. Her eldest sister will be happy too.

Not knowing his eyes were already being coveted by someone, Shan Yang merely gave an unknown stare.

"Do you want to live?"

"Yes," came another gasp. Who does not want to live? Of course, Sol Ming  has no wish to die despite knowing she went to another world.

Something within her whispering she has to stay alive to see the most important people in her life, none other than her siblings.

When there is still no reaction from the man but cold face. Sol Ming is ready to speak again.

Then the next thing she knew was Shan Yang crouching down beside her and carelessly poking the wound on her abdomen with his bone axe.

It made Sol Ming feel bad as she bit her lower lip after that.

What is this barbaric man doing? She thought hatefully.

Looking at Shan Yang's painted face, forming a dissatisfied expression as he was staring steadily at the bad gash by now infected with dirt and other microorganisms.

The discolored skin is not a good sight.

At once, he plucked some flies lingering around and attempted to clean the area with his hand.

Since the action was mindlessly done, Sol Ming kept fidgeting and began to whimper.

Not caring about her reaction.

Shan Yang doesn't bother to stop until the wound was clean enough under his eyes.

He glanced around the tribe, and after confirming that no one was watching on this side, he turned his attention back to Sol Ming.

He can see the female face looks sickly pale as she catches her breath.

That making him frowned.

Then the pair of eyes which had once met earlier found themselves in long-locked gazes.

"You can die later." Sol Ming's eyes trembled, murmur, "Huh...?"

"I will take you out here, and later you can die peacefully." Those words didn't registered at first, and when it clarified after seconds, she feels like vomiting the blood inside her.

Die? Peacefully?

Was this man also planning to kill her?

"I do not want...to...die." Sol Ming lips had spoken weakly.

Shan Yang heard her words that only had him a second look and said, " Great Healer doesn't treat any spoil of war, let alone sl*ves."

" I will heal..." If it is for treatment, there is nothing to worry about.

Sol Ming has been out in the wilderness before, she has also encountered a lot of masters who know herbal medicines.

Some had even taught her when it come to taking care of emergencies cases.

"Healer?"

"Ye..Yes!"

"Do not lie." Shan Yang's eyes narrowed as he gave in to his thoughts.

Then he stands up without saying anything.

He left the female before she could come up with her words.

As much as she'd wanted to react and panic, Sol Ming felt another shot of pain.

This time, this is something she doesn't know where it is coming from, her whole body was under the influence of suffering.

It hurts. It is painful.

Is she going to die?

Again?

Then where is her luck?

Without someone on her side and now little consciousness, the darkness has already taken Sol Ming into the place she was hoping to be.

When Shan Yang walked back, she was already in her dreamland, but, never the less, he did not forget what his purpose of coming back here was; taking the female back to his tent and to be his first slave.

He carried Sol Ming carelessly on his shoulders like a sack of grain.

Meanwhile, Sol Ming was hanging on his back, smiling subconsciously at her dream.

Having fun as she enjoys the leisure times with her two elder sisters, Sol Rogue and Sol Jillian.

There, the delicious aroma of their food wafted through the air. Her index finger tracing the fork's neck as always as she played with it out of habit.

She opened her mouth from time to time as she responds to her older siblings.

Hearing the lovely compliments for her, joy and excitement dwells within.

"You never failed to exceed my expectations, Mingming. The taste is well-blended with the ingredients. This soup is very tasty, even though I don't like having this type, you are very good at cooking when it comes to it. And you know, I will never deny your food."

"Sister Ro, you're making me blush." She held her reddening face, acting shy and embarrassed. "Stop flattering me... I still need a lot of rice to eat. Also, I want to make something you would like to eat, and soup isn't that bad. But, if the eldest sister really loves this, then I will prepare a cup for you every day."

"What a sweet torture, Mi." Sol Rogue joined, picking the glass of wine on her front and taking another short sip of the red wine from the winery of Marqués de Surieta in the country S. Its sensation fits perfectly on her tongue, and she has decided this wine exudes the tradition, yet still be able to give a sense of modernity.

It seemed she would not be able to hold back from buying another one.

"Sister Ji, please refrain from drinking too much wine. It is not good for you, aren't you on break from taking cases?"

"That's why." Sol Ming reached for the wine glass planning to stop her sister from drinking early this morning but unsuccessful. "Second Sister, Dr. Qian, has already gave his warning to you."

Sol Rogue laughed. "Who cares about that dog, say whatever he wanted to say, I will choose whatever I want to drink."

"Sister Ji!"

"Mingming, let her die if she please."

"Sister Ro..."Sol Ming can't stop her tone from sounding very aggrieved. With a pair of grey eyes falling on her side, it was enough to drop the subject.

She could only look down at her plate.

An action of her fork stabbing the sunny-side up egg indicates dissatisfaction.

"Childish." Sol Rogue uttered.

Then she placed the spoon to its rightful place and ordered," Jillian, drinking your wine early this morning is now prohibited."

Sol Jillian's eyes darkened. "If it pleased the eldest sister, your sister will oblige to this."

Taking a look at her little sister before saying, "It is good you are our beloved little sister..."

Otherwise, Sol Jillian has already kicked her out of this table.

Sol Ming's ears perk up at those words in an instant, and she can't help raising her downcast head with a brilliant smile on her bewitching lips. When the siblings grew up together, they are full of care and love for each other. No matter how dire the situation can be, they're ready to take care one another. And Sol Ming knows she trusts her own life to her two elder sisters without a second thought.

She feels safe and secure to them more than any of her friends can offer.
