3: I Don't Want To Become Meat!

Therefore, it brings tranquility onto Sol Ming's sleeping face as her lips found curving upward into a contented smile.

Her body doesn't even feel when it meets the cold dead ground inside of the slummy animal tent.

Shan Yang didn't bother to care, and so he set off after with an expression of the female possibly crossing the bridge of land and sky to be with God.

That was actually doing in his favour.

When Sol Ming woke up the second time, she was in a state of confusion.

No one is around. Only she can hear indistinguishable sounds coming from unknown sources.

Without notice, a lot of memories not from her rushed to engrave into her mind.

It feels like when your head is being forced to take too much information at once, dropping it one or two times, drilling into the brain to make sure it will have to remember it later.

Grasping the details, she understood very well what it was all about—all are in connection with the original body owner—she is named Ming, Wu Ming of Wu Qing Tribe, and she came up to a rightful age going back to the last early summer season.

The Wu Qing tribe are currently living in the unnamed hill near this Dou Yun Shan Tribe.

As one of the most migrating tribes, the Wu Qing aren't that welcome when it comes to living next to any other tribes.

Three days ago they were attacked by the Dou Yun Shan tribe after refusing the salt exchange for slaves. For many years, the two tribes have actually been at each other's throats for almost eleven winters.

At a time when the Wu Qing passed in this tribe, the other wouldn't forget the grudge from that certain winter.

It was said that the Wu Qing Tribe deceased chief had killed the first son of the current Dou Yun Shan Tribe.

Since then, the tribes have been at stake for years, and the Wu Qing still keeps on entering this territory for unspoken reason. Even the original body owner doesn't know what this aforementioned motive is.

Sol Ming can't help wondering too.

Wu Ming has become orphaned since the event between Dou Yun Shan Tribe and Wu Wing Tribe happened.

Her parents were killed by the people of the enemy tribe, which made Wu Ming alone and outcast by her tribesmen.

Sol Ming found out this world is not any normal world like her original world, the residents aren't weak and self-willed.

All of them strictly followed the tribe rules, habits, and beliefs.

Each of their clans has a special kind of abilities in this world; only they have these terms for awakening spirit warriors, the—Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water.

Although Sol Ming clearly does not understand how these people’s superhuman or non-human abilities work, with no knowledge from Wu Ming's memories, it was quite enough to acknowledge she was in a dangerous reality.

Wu Qing has no highly ranked awaken spirit warriors, that's why they got surprised by the Dou Yun Shan Tribe.

Resulting, many tribesmen got killed when fighting while numbers of women and children are hopelessly taken.

Meanwhile, Wu Ming fell dead on the road before she became someone else's real sl*ve.

The unfortunate incident was when someone tried to make a way into her.

Then Sol Ming who just died from in their world has penetrated the inside of her dead body, which was an hour earlier before the lying flesh was butchered into parts.

As person from another world who only  likely to believe in scientific statements rather than any superstitious practice.

She isn't fond of the idea  acknowledging this unexpected transmigration after the explosion.

She died, or maybe there are chances to go back.

Into this unknown world, she can only try to stay alive and find a way and answer her uncertainties.

The host body is wearing barely pieces of dried animal skins, on the seemingly growing front and down below to cover up the female reproductive part. Finally, noticing these small things has made Sol Ming feel like worshiping whoever put her soul into this world after not giving her an exposed body.

In one of her hobbies, she would like to spend it watching documentaries series.

That, coincidentally, there was this primitive period which turned her eyes to have dark circles in the next morning.

It caught her interest. Informed by the researchers that during the Paleolithic Era, men and women served different roles and functions within their tribes. To follow Wu Ming's impression about this unknown world.

Sol Ming concluded the residents here aren't far from the Old Stone Age back in her world.

So, men were generally responsible for hunting, fighting and protecting the tribe, whereas women were responsible for gathering food and reproducing offspring for carrying on the tribal population.

Under these ideas and knowledge, she does not know whether to laugh or cry.

Though it was not a problem wearing clothes  made of animal skins and not from man-made materials, she is not very happy to know what level of society this world has at this time.

Thoughtfully staring at the low ceiling of the shabby tent, she fell into deep silence.

Later, when there's enough strength in her limbs and body, she sat up. Taking notice of the wound on her abdomen, right lumbar region.

At first glance, it may look like it has been extremely infected due to the cut, and she can tell that the slashing of something sharp made the skin become more vulnerable to dirt until it got dirty and somehow ended in an awfully looking dreading image.

Despite the man whom she met earlier attempting to clean her up. Sol Ming doesn't feel assured.

She must treat this properly as soon as possible, or else it will only get worse by unknown elements rubbing onto it. She needs to clean it up, remove some rotten flesh, and apply the right medicine she can have.

Then, she can heal in the next few days. That's become her mental preparation.

Sol Ming happily smiled at her simple plan for seconds, and then she heard an exchange coming from outside. It was from male voices which seemed to be having an important conversation.

"What is the result?

"Great Healer does not want to help Mu anymore. " That low voice sounded very familiar to Sol Ming.

"How about the other apprentice? " As if the other was being asked something that he doesn't want to talk to, the reply was quick and the tone was hiding his vexation.

" They said Mu would die soon. There is no time for them to help him, and pointing at me, I don't even have a boar to exchange for their herbs. "

" They really become arrogant since the  Great Healer established their importance for our tribe," Sighing, the voice continued worriedly. " What will you do? The Great Healer announced the almighty Yun God was punishing us, and even our salt will be gone soon.

Chief Shan notified us that the tribe needs more sl*ves to exchange with the Sha Ma Jiang Tribe next moon, or else we would suffer during the upcoming winter season."

" Hope, Dou Yun God help Mu."

" Wait—What about the sl*ve you took at the Slaughter Meat? Is she still alive?"

Sol Ming's ears perked up, they're talking about her.

As she finally recognized, the person who carried her back inside this tent is the same man from earlier.

How unlucky!

She thought it was someone who had a trace of pity.

Though that assumption would be far from the truth in possibilities, she is still somehow hoping.

After all, the man whom she first met in this world looked dangerous, and he told her to kick the bucket.

Sol Ming is so absorbed into her thoughts that she didn't notice Shan Yang entering his tent, along with his friend Shan Qiu who was taller and more matured.

The man has a visible scarred chest with the unknown mark tattoos near his heart.

Both men instantly caught Sol Ming's figure staring at nowhere. Shan Yang's eyebrows made a frowning expression as he can't help giving remarks. "She didn't die..."

"I can see that," Shan Qiu was obviously displeased from seeing Sol Ming's body breathing alive. "You need fresh meat right for Mu." A reminder of Shan Yang's motive for taking back Sol Ming into his tent. "Yet, this one looks absolutely alive and has spirit within her eyes."

Shany Yang gave a hard stare. Asking in his mind, 'Why are you still alive?'

With the Clan Elders permission, he'd be able to have his first sl*ve as a member of Dou Yan Shan Warriors even though he is still a two-star ranked warrior.

In order to have a sl*ve, the tribe warriors have to become third rank spirit warriors before they could get a sl*ve for themselves. Since Shan Yang planned to have the dying Wu Qing female as his first slave, that elder let him do what he please at the same time quietly mocking him for his stupidity.

He will never get another sl*ve unless his rank rises to the fifth spirit warrior.

In which it would possibly take two or three winters from now on.

Choosing this Wu Qing female is only for the purpose of becoming their family's fresh meat because if she ever dies today.

As her master, his female sl*ve body would be his, and he doesn't

required to share the meat with everyone.

Then his little brother can eat as many as he wants.

"Yes. But she is almost not breathing earlier." Shan Yang tutted.

"How about we kill her now." Shan Qiu suggested touching the bone knife hanging on his waist.

"I can do it if you can't."

Shan Yang frowned, "I can handle this."

Sol Ming snapped back out of her trance and looked up at the standing men deciding her life as if it was nothing but insignificant.

From their words, she already felt a foreboding prediction if she doesn't start begging.

Her meat will be eaten by these people like a piece of pork chop. Knowing her intuition is the best guide she can afford.

On her position, she is so quick to kowtow in front of them as if praising the gods of heaven and started her life saving monologue.

Not even sure where her sudden strength has come from, maybe this is what they call the power of will.

"Don't kill me! Please, have mercy on me." Sol Ming's voice broke. Tears started showing near her eyes. "I can help you in anything. I can do a lot of things, and, and I know how to heal your wounds. Just, do not kill me! I will be able to heal myself to prove my words to you...Ma-master!"

Sol Ming did her utmost not to sound like a damsel in distress as she is afraid to lower her pride even more.

Saying the word master out loud already took a great toll.

Maybe this world is not the modern society she was used to, but  it doesn't mean she will ever let her face to lose over these barbaric people.

Shan Qui chuckled. "What a noisy sl*ve you have here, Shan Yang. Look, she is too skinny to give birth in the future. Are you sure you want to keep this one?"

Shan Yang who is awfully quiet has thinking about something.

Looking down at the trembling Sol Ming's, he is having second thoughts.

"Master Shan Yang please..." Sol Ming cried out pitifully. With tears sliding down from her eyes, she called out once more.

Shan Yang had seen a lot of slaves crying for mercy at their masters, but this is the first time he felt weird looking back at someone else's eyes begging to survive.

There was something he cannot grasp from the way those green orbs were looking back at him. He stared back without any visible expression.

"You said you would heal yourself."

"Yes! " Sol Ming keeps on nodding as if her neck isn't hers anymore. "I can heal myself."

"Then," Shan Yang began. "Heal my  little brother, and you will live as a sl*ve of mine."

"Yes—Little Brother?" returning a bit slow, she stopped and raised her head to meet the other man's unwavering golden eyes.
