CHAPTER 8.1

The next morning, I can't help but smile, even though I had doubts about his smirk yesterday. Even at breakfast, my smile didn't fade.

"What's with your smile?" He asked as he put some garlic rice on my plate.

"Huh?" I took a glimpse, and all I could see was his annoyed look.

"Am I not allowed to smile, Attorney?" I arched my brow, and that made him knot his forehead deeply.

"I won't meddle with your happiness, just make sure I am part of it." He put down the utensil as he calmly stood.

My lips parted and I looked at him with disbelief, "Attorney, maybe you forgot that you asked for this mess." The fact that I agree with this without my heart, only means that I will never be happy with you—"

"Then, I'll make you happy. Who's your request again? Andres? Fine, I'll hire that Andres here. Check the garden at ten am."

That's what he said before he picked up his coat from the chair and turned his back. He walked straight out of the kitchen and didn't dare give me one last look.
