Kayden's POV

"Come over here Kayden." mum called.

"Mum." I groaned.

"You are here for a vacation not to work," she replied.

"I just have to do this, I really can't let go of this," I replied and she sighed deeply, letting go of me.

She probably just knew enough that I would not be giving in to her requests, it has been this way for years now. I do find no interest in vacations, wasting time.

My mind slowly drifted away from what I was working on to Mantha.

"She must be doing well," I said to myself, perhaps in an attempt to assure myself that she was completely safe.

If she was in any form of danger, she would give me a call.

I wasn't going to her to talk to Lauren randomly, definitely not but then maybe from Lauren I could know how Mantha, my object of mystery was doing.
