“Where are the other customers?” I can’t help but ask this. When we get inside the mall, all shops are open, but we only see employees.

And I started to feel a little bit angry because Elias had been ignoring me since we got out of his car. He was the one who was making fun of me, and how could he act as if it was my fault?

I sighed and asked once more but still… I didn’t get an answer.

“Elias, did you hear me?” I asked as I slightly tilted my head to see his reaction. However, he walked even swifter, making me stomp my feet in frustration.

I know we’re strangers to each other, but the way I feel for him… it seems like we’ve known each other for a long time. I don’t know, but part of me gave me the courage to talk impolitely to him. And he was okay with it.

I shook my head in disbelief and followed his pace.

“Good day, Mr. Turner. How may I help—”

“I’m fine,” Elias cut off the manager’s talk. I saw her name tag, and below it indicated her position.
