Zara'S POV

As I prepared for dinner, my nerves were on edge. This was the first formal event I would be attending as the Alpha's mate, and I knew that those in attendance would have high expectations of me. I carefully chose my attire, opting for a green dress that reminded me of my late mother. She had sea-green eyes that always seemed to sparkle when she spoke to me or sang me lullabies. I chose this dress as a tribute to her, as well as a symbol of my own growth and the changes in my life.

I had never worn makeup before, and I did not want to change my appearance in order to conform to societal expectations. I believed that true beauty came from within and that the use of cosmetics was unnecessary.

I’m happy Zara will get the education she was denied. My Pop-pop didn’t finish school only made it to the 3rd grade. My always said he was able to finish school
