8. Family Meeting!

Author's POV

"Are you going to wear this?"

Rose asked looking up and down at Rosetta. She was wearing jeans and top. 

Rosetta frowned.

"What's wrong in this?"

Rose chuckled.

"Nothing is wrong Rosa but you should wear clothes according to occasion... I don't like wearing gowns but I am wearing it today, aren't I?... We are going to meet your in laws, they need to see how beautiful my daughter is..."

Rose checked her closet and chose beautiful peach colour gown, it was elegant and perfect for casual gatherings. 

"Wear this... You will look beautiful in it..."

Rosetta took the gown from her and changed into it, her body was looking beautiful in it. That Gown was enhancing her curves. Rose made her sit in front of the mirror and started doing her hairstyle.

Rosetta was looking cute in that hairstyle. 

"You are beautiful..."

Rose looked at her adoringly. 

"Thank you mom..."

Rosetta replied and stood up. 

"Let's go..."

Rose led her downstairs. Damian was already waiting for them. Her brothers were also present. 

Damian looked at her and smiled.

"It reminds me of the moment when I first saw you in gown..."

He pecked Rose's lips and Rosetta looked away. She has no idea why it makes her uncomfortable whenever she see some couple doing loving thing. 

Meanwhile Skyler's family was waiting for their arrival. 

"Sky when did you guys met first... How did it started. Who confessed first?"

Sarah asked curiously. 

"Don't you know mom, I was planning to kidnap her even before her Birth..."

Skyler answered and xavier laughed. 

"Not funny Skyler..."

Sarah gave him mad look. 

"I know mom, it just happened... I saw her, I liked her and asked her out... That's it. There isn't any epic lovestory..."

He answered boringly. 

"Boss, Knight family is here..."

One of the guard came inside and informed.

"Lead them inside"

Skyler ordered and stood up fixing his coat. He was wearing black suit and was looking dangerously handsome. His build body was looking sexy in black suit.

His eyes fell on Rosetta who was coming inside with her parents. For a moment he couldn't recognise her, The girl he saw yesterday was totally different from what he was seeing at present moment.

Something happened in his heart, some tingle like feeling and he couldn't take his eyes off her. Her brunette hair was resting on her shoulders. Her each and every curve was inviting him. Her eyes were roaming around, admiring his house. She was looking at paintings and subconsciously he was waiting for them to land on him. 

Xavier noticed that he is lost in her and Smirked. He patted his back and tilted his head, Telling him to greet her like lovers. 

Skyler cleared his throat and walked towards her. He wrapped his hand around her waist and Rosetta was taken off-guard by his actions, she visibly stiffened and frowned at him, But couldn't say anything because everyone was watching them. 

Skyler smirked at her reaction and kissed her cheek, her face automatically turned red and his smirk widened. 

"You are looking gorgeous, baby..."

He gave her compliment and everyone smiled. 

Rosetta cleared her throat and forced a smile.

"Thank you..."

"She is so beautiful... I am so happy for both of you..."

Sarah smiled at her.

"Come, let's have lunch first... We can talk there..."

Everyone turned around and Rosetta removed skyler's hand from her waist making him raise his eyebrows. He is not used to rejection.

They all greeted each other and sat at the dining table. Rosetta was sitting silently while everyone was discussing about wedding planning.

"At least she is hot... You won't regret it"

Roy whispered to Skyler.

"But she seems too Rude... I don't like her attitude..."

Skyler gave Roy warning look.

"Shut up, Roy... No one should hear you..."

Roy rolled his eyes. He wasn't interested in mafia business. Roy told his father that he wants to pursue his career as a writer just like his mother, as a loving and understanding father Xavier respected his decision and kept him away from violence and illegally activities. 

They finished their lunch and Roy walked out as he was getting bored. 

"I need to use washroom..."

Rosetta said. 

"You can go to skyler's bedroom... Skyler, show her the way..."

Sarah suggested. 

Skyler nodded wiping his hand with tissue and stood up.

"Come..."

Rosetta stood up and followed him out. 

Suddenly his phone rang and he saw the caller ID. 

"I have to take it... Go upstairs, second Room on the left..."

He told her directions. 

"Thanks.."

Rosetta replied nonchalantly and walked away while Skyler received the call. 

When Rosetta was walking upstairs she saw Roy in the living room. He picked up the Gun from the floor and started inspecting it. 

She frowned when he turned the barrel of gun towards his face. The gun was loaded and unlocked. By judging Roy's expressions she understood that he has no idea about that gun model.

Rosetta ran towards Roy, she grabbed him by shoulder and turned him around. Before he reacts she twisted his wrist and bullet hit the painting on the wall. Loud scattering voice and bang of bullet boomed in the hall. 

She snatched the gun from Roy's hand. 

"Don't touch guns, if you don't know how it works..."

She locked the gun. 

"Fuck, I had no idea that it's loaded..."

Roy said horrified, he was shaken from within. 

Skyler quickly turned around when heard that loud sound. He ran towards them and frowned when he saw Rosetta with gun. 

Their parents also came out running.

"What the hell is happening here?"

Xavier asked confused.

"He had this gun in his hands and I don't think he knows how to deal with it..."

Rosetta handed the gun to Xavier. 

Xavier looked at the gun and glared at Roy. 

"Are you fucking crazy boy... If you don't know shit then stay away from it..."

He growled angrily. 

"Do you understand that you could have died..."

"Dad... It was on the floor, I swear I was just picking it up and suddenly it fired..."

Roy replied.

"It's ok, it was mistake. He is fine now..."

Skyler tried to save him from his father's wrath. 

"Why that gun was on the floor?... Can't you guys keep it away from children..."

Sarah Scolded and inspected Roy's body. 

"Are you okay?"

She asked flabbergasted. 

"I am fine... She saved me..."

Roy looked at Rosetta.

"Thank you..."

She gave him nod.

After scolding Roy and thanking Rosetta everyone went back to normal. 

"Come I'll show you the washroom..."

Skyler said and Rosetta followed him. 

He opened the door and she entered. His Room was big and classy. Mostly decorated with white and golden colour. Everything was neat and clean. She noticed some antiques in the room. Huge king size bed was placed aside wall size window. His room was beautiful.

"Second door..."

Skyler said leaving the door open behind him. 

Rosetta went to washroom and did her business. Suddenly her phone started vibrating, it was unknown number and she understood that it's Vlad. She disconnected the call and walked outside. 

She saw Skyler sitting on the bed, he was busy in phone. She was about to call him so they can go downstairs but her phone started vibrating again, she looked at the caller ID and disconnected it. Her inbox filled with text messages.

Rosetta blocked the number. She looked up and flinched back when she saw Skyler standing in front of her. He was too close, she wasn't expecting that. 

"What are you___"

Before she speaks, he slammed her against the wall.
