7. Not My Thing!

Author's POV

"But you were going to reject it... What changed your mind..."

Max questioned Skyler as they drove back to their house. Roy was still in shock.

"You know me Max, there is no way that I can live with one woman, that too committed... Dad and mom won't allow me to that. I have to make a way out and Rosetta will be my way. She has same thinking like me. She has no expectations from this marriage so it isn't any problem. I would happily marry her instead of marrying some annoying bitch who has unrealistic expectations..."

Skyler replied. 

"Don't tell me she made her impression on you"

Roy Scowled. 

"I can't say I am impressed but she is interesting... And it doesn't really matter. This marriage doesn't mean anything..."

Skyler trailed off. 

On other hand Rosetta informed Damian that she is ready for marriage. They were in his office. 

"Are you sure Rosa?... I don't want you to take any kind of pressure. It's a big decision. If you are really ready then only I will take things further... Think one more time..."

Damian said in serious tone.

"You are more important to me than business..."

"It's fine dad... It won't be any problem... I am ready.."

She assured. 

"I don't think I can ever find a guy for me... Skyler seemed nice and he was respectful in whole conversation. Our thinking is quite same so I think it's better to marry him..."

Damian sat beside her on the sofa and held her hands gently.

"Are you sure you don't want to experience love?... What if you fall for someone else?..."

He asked.

"I can't... I don't understand love... It's not my thing..."

She replied coldly.

Damian sighed.

"Rosa I know you want to become like your mother... She is your ideal, you want to become strong like her and that's why you are walking on her path. You have made yourself like her but She is not really cold. Rose have emotions, she cares, she feels, she loves us. Only difference is she doesn't know how to express it... You don't have to suppress your emotions to become strong."

"How do you know she loves you... How did you convinced her to marry you... Why you fell for such ruthless woman... What is love?"

She asked confused and Damian chuckled. 

"You really don't need to know how I fell for her, how I married her or how I managed to get her... But she wasn't ruthless to me, she was my shield. She is only person with whom I feel safe. She was just like you and I fell for her cold behavior. You will understand it when love will grace your life... And When it will, don't run away from it, embrace it... I hope you will experience it soon..."

Damian patted her head and she nodded in understanding. 

"And you met Skyler in these clothes?"

He raised his eyebrows and she nodded.

"And he still agreed to marry you?"

He asked and she nodded again.

"Impressive..."

He said looking at her dirty clothes and messy hair. 

Meanwhile Skyler reached Home where Xavier was waiting for him.

Skyler entered the living room and saw Xavier. 

"How was it?"

He asked. 

"Perfect!... I am ready to marry her."

Skyler declared and Xavier smiled. 

"You liked her?"

He chuckled.

"Me?... No!... But she is good. I can tolerate her..."

He shrugged and Xavier shook his head chuckling. 

"You won't realise when this thing will turn into love and love into obsession..."

Xavier Smirked. 

"That's not my thing..."

Skyler's face turned into disapproval. 

"We will see... You have my blood in your veins..."

Xavier replied proudly. 

"Sky?... When did you came back?..."

He heard Sarah and turned around.

"How was your meeting with her family?"

"Just now mom... And meeting was good. Her family is ready for this marriage..."

Skyler answered. 

"Excellent... I Thought Damian will say no... You know your father and Damian are not really good friends..."

Sarah chuckled and Xavier rolled his eyes. 

"We have so many things to plan... Have you fixed the Date?..."

She asked Xavier. 

"They are coming here tomorrow to fix the date..."

Xavier answered. 

"Okay, I'll arrange everything..."

Sarah said excitingly and left making Xavier smile. 

Skyler frowned.

"Why are you in so much hurry?"

He asked. 

Xavier Smirked.

"So I can get rid of you and take your mother on world tour..."

Skyler looked at him in disbelief.

"Wow dad... Perfect... I hate you..."

He said playfully and walked away.

Xavier laughed at his reaction. 

Skyler went to his room and took off his coat. He walked towards the bathroom to take shower. 

He closed his eyes and let the water run over his body. When he closed his eyes Rosetta's face flashed in front of him. Her glowing Amber eyes were still prominent in his mind. 

Skyler snapped his eyes open and mumbled.

"Rosetta!"
