Weak Points.

Leia has never felt so angry and betrayed. Annoyed, she storms off her meeting with her mother-in-law, feeling humiliated and disrespected.

She knows that she deserves more, and yet, they have ignored her and dismissed her concerns. She couldn't take it anymore.

Her best isn't best enough to these people and she's beginning to wonder if they're qualified enough to be called her in-laws.

"Everyone keeps driving me to a wall," she mutters to herself feeling angered and sad as well.

Getting inside the car, an angered Leia revs up the engine, ready to leave, but just outside the gate she finds someone unexpected standing at the gate.

Slam!

Leia's door closes as Rachel gets inside.

"What took you so long?" Rachel asks, putting her seatbelts on.

"I'm tired," Leia murmurs, slamming her head on to the steering wheel, causing the car to honk.

"Let's go to my place, this family is nothing but chaos to you," she tells Leia.

Throughout the drive to Rachel's place Leia is unsure of who to get angry at, she finds herself fuming as she pants heavily.

If only she could blame Mark for all he's done to her, but then Kasen and his family were of no help either.

Her chance of happiness was shattering before her eyes thanks to the Sky family.

Lucky for Leia, she has Rachel.

Rachel in the kitchen, makes tea when Leia walks in.

"Good morning" she greets, handing Leia a cup. "How are you feeling?"

Leia shrugs. "I don't know," she says. "I just feel lost."

Rachel frowns. "What are you thinking, Leia?" she asks. "You're a married woman. You can't just go around accepting cheques from your ex, it'll get you into more scandals."

Leia sighs. "I know," she says. "But what else can I do? I don't have any other options."

Rachel shakes her head. "You could have come to me," she says. "You don't have to go through this alone."

Leia feels a pang of guilt. Rachel has always been there for her, and yet, she has kept her problems to herself. "I'm sorry," she says. "I didn't mean to cause trouble."

Rachel sighs. "It's not your fault," she says. "But you need to be more careful. And you need to talk to your husband. You can't just let this go."

Leia shakes her head. "I don't want to talk to him," she says. "He doesn't understand me."

Rachel raises an eyebrow. "Then what do you want to do?"

Leia looks down at her hands. "I don't know," she says. "I just want to be free."

Rachel puts a hand on her shoulder. "I know," she says. "But you can't just run away from your problems. You have to face them."

Leia nods, feeling a sense of resignation. She knows that Rachel is right, but she doesn't know how to face her problems. She feels trapped, with no way out.

As they sit down to watch TV, a breaking news story catches their attention. A photo of Leia and Mark has been leaked to the press, and they are being accused of having an affair.

Leia feels her heart stop. She can't believe that someone has done this to her. She has never been involved in a scandal before, and she doesn't know how to handle it.

Rachel grabs her hand. "Don't worry," she says. "We'll get through this together."

Leia nods, feeling grateful for Rachel's support. She doesn't know what she would do without her.

Night time approaches rather quickly for these two.

It was the only time of the day Leia could get some peace and shut eyes as she looks worn out by everything around her.

The two ladies prepare without fail, they couldn't wait for their cheeks to meet with the warm pillow and their minds to finally get some rest after all the stress they've been through.

Rachel hurries to make their bed as Leia wipes the dishes from their late dinner.

Buzz!

Leia's phone vibrates from the bedside as Rachel tilts over to glance at it.

The name boldly written on it was all it takes to piss Rachel off as she mutes Leia's phone.

Buzz~

It rings nonstop, and Rachel knows too well that avoiding the call would do no good.

Irritated, she sighs heavily as she picks up the phone.

"Hello?" she says.

"Is Leia there?" Mark's voice asks.

Rachel rolls her eyes. "She's asleep," she says. "And I don't think you Sky's have a right to even try to reach out to her, especially you and that husband of hers," she yells.

Mark sighs. "I know," he says. "Did Leia tell you to say all of that?"

"Not even a word, and I would rather die than have you ruin my best friend's life, you got that rich kid."

"Aww come on, don't be like that," Mark tells Rachel as he scoofs.

Rachel couldn't bear listening to his voice for even a second more, she rolls her eyes, withdrawing the phone from her ear a little, ready to end the call when she hears a clear warning.

"Don't you dare hang up the phone," she hears Mark warn her in a deep menacing voice.

"Denying me the right to speak with Leia equals more problems to her life, so, I'll do this nicely and ask that you give her the phone."

Rachel knew a threat when she heard one, after all, her years of experience as a journalist taught her many things, including how dark politicians really were.

"You wouldn't want to keep me waiting to speak with my princess, so just run to the kitchen quickly and hand over the phone," he tells her.

"Give it to me," a downcast Leia's voice echoes in the room, causing Rachel to turn around.

She hands over Leia's phone who walks out of the room to the living room, collapsing in a chair as she breathes deeply.

"Are you satisfied with ruining my life?" Leia asks him the moment she gets on the phone.

"That's not true," Mark protests. "I care about you, Leia. I want to help you, I would never want to ruin you."

Leia shakes her head. "I don't want your help," she says. "I don't want anything to do with you. You're ruining my life."

There is a moment of silence on the other end of the line.

"I understand," Mark says finally.

"I just wanted you to know that I'm here for you if you need anything. Please think about my offer, it's what's best for all of us…"

Leia hangs up the phone, feeling more alone than ever. She knows that Mark is just trying to save face, that he doesn't care about her. She feels like a fool for ever believing in him, for ever letting him into her life.

Rachel comes back into the living room, carrying a tray of tea and biscuits. "We'll get through this, Leia," she says, handing her a cup. "We'll figure out a way to fight back."

Leia looks at her friend, feeling a glimmer of hope, as she constantly yells at herself to be calm and not lose hope.

Feeling overwhelmed she stretches out to the remote control by her side and starts switching the channels.

With boredom and sadness intertwined she glances over the channels one at a time, until a certain news catches her eyes.
