Jonas' POV:

I should’ve walked away. I should have pushed her off me, shut this down, locked the damn door and buried the feelings.

But the second her lips touched mine, the second her fingers curled into my shirt like she would drown if she let me go… I was lost.

I slammed her back against the cupboard. She gasped as the wood jolted behind her, her legs wrapping around my waist without hesitation. I kissed her like I hated her for making me need this.

For being the one thing I couldn’t have.

“Katrine…”

I growled, voice low and guttural.

“You don’t know what you are doing.”

“Yes, I do.” She pulled me closer, desperate. “I have always known, Jonas… but why don't you? Why don't you see how badly I've been craving you? Ever since… since that day, you haven't touched me and I've spent every day craving for the same touch.”

I crashed my mouth into hers again, and she clung to me like I was the only solid thing in her world. The taste of her, the feel of her… god! It was as addicting as

Jonas' POV:The scent hit me first.Warm, soft, and so unmistakably her. Katrine… her sweet heat laced with the wild whisper of her skin, my mate’s scent. Even half-asleep, my wolf stirred like a thunderclap in my chest, tail thumping in joy deep within the tether of my soul. She was close. Curled right beside me, tucked into the sheets like she belonged there. And hell, he loved to remind me that she did.My eyes blinked open slowly. The moonlight poured in through the open window, casting silver on her bare shoulders, the rise and fall of her breathing slow, steady. Her lashes were spread soft on her cheeks, lips parted, bare skin glowing. And she was mine, finally…After all the push and pull, all her running and my chasing, she was here. In my bed… in my arms.Without meaning to, I reached out and wrapped her closer. My hand curved around her waist, drawing her into my chest, breathing her in. Her scent flooded my lungs like fire and honey, addictive and maddening. My cock ha

Jonas leaned back on his elbows, chest heaving, but that glint in his eye was far from satisfied. He reached for her, strong hands gripping her waist, but before he could pull her into his lap, Katrine straddled his thigh, grinding herself against his skin, needy and wet.But Jonas wasn’t done teasing. He hooked one arm around her middle and turned her swiftly, pressing her back gently onto the sheets, kneeling between her parted legs. “Ah! Ah…mmh…”She let out a startled breath that turned into a moan as his mouth trailed down her throat, his other hand moving to her slick core."You did so well, you little brat…”He murmured, lips brushing against her ear, “But if you're going to take me in, you're going to be prepped just right.”“Ah… yes… please… I want it, please!”She whimpered as the coolness of his rings brushed her already heated flesh, the metal a shocking contrast that made her hips jerk. He smiled against her skin, loving her reactions, and then slid his fingers lower.Th

The cabin was dim, shadows dancing against the wooden beams as the fire in the hearth whispered its final crackles. Outside, the forest lay still under a velvet sky, moonlight bleeding through the curtains in pale streaks. Jonas lay shirtless atop the bed, one arm lazily thrown over his head. He didn’t hear the door click open at first. Katrine stood at the doorway like she was lit from within. Her breath was shallow as she watched Jonas sprawled on the bed, his chest bare and rising in a deep, steady rhythm. The sheet barely covered his hips, clinging to his body like even that didn’t want to part from him.She padded toward him slowly, heart hammering in her chest, her silk slip clinging to her thighs with every movement. Jonas was in deep sleep, and didn’t feel her enter his room. Not until the mattress dipped with the lightest pressure. Katrine’s fingers grazed his shoulder.Jonas stirred, not fully awake, not quite asleep. He groaned low, his brows furrowing slightly, but he d

Lexie's POV:Jonas looked at me like I’d sprouted horns out of my head. His eyes widened, disbelieving, as if I’d just confessed to seeing ghosts.“What?” he asked slowly. “You knew I was lying?”I shook my head, my voice quiet but firm. “No. I just know Paul is alive.”My hand instinctively went to my belly. There was something unexplainable tying all of this together. The ache in my chest. The dreams. The gut feeling that throbbed with each heartbeat. Paul was alive. I didn’t need proof. I felt him.Jonas looked like he wanted to laugh, or maybe scream. “Lexie, that’s not—”“If you don’t know where he is,” I cut in, my voice gaining strength, “then it just means I need to try harder to find him.”I began to swing my legs off the bed, ignoring the dull ache in my lower back and the IV tugging at my skin. My feet touched the cold tile floor. I winced, but pushed myself up.I didn’t get far.Jonas moved quickly, his hand clamping gently but firmly on my shoulder, stopping me mid-motion

Paul's POV:“Then, you don’t know me at all.”I spoke, casting a single glance at Elara, and stepped towards the door. She recoiled as if I had slapped her, but I didn’t let it stop me. I turned sharply on my heel, boots thudding against the old wooden floor as I headed out the door. I needed air, I needed some distance from her. I needed the truth, and none of it would be found in this suffocating library… or this village. How long were they planning on lying to me, if I hadn't found out the truth by myself? The old healer said she only wanted me to rest better… but was this the only way?Elara’s voice cracked behind me, pulling me out of my thoughts. “You are right! I don't know you… yet. I know you only as the stranger we saved, but I want to know you! That’s why I want you to stay, so that I can mould myself into the perfect paryne for you.’I froze. Not because I believed her, but because that desperation didn’t sound like love. It sounded like a drowning woman clinging to wr

  • Scar : the rejected Luna   147. Caged!

Author's POV: Lexie jolted upright, breath snagging in her throat as if she had just clawed her way out of a nightmare. Her body ached in a dozen places she couldn’t name, and her skin was slick with sweat. The world around her swam in shades of sterile white and soft amber… curtains gently swayed at the windows, and the low hum of machines punctuated the silence. She blinked, chest heaving, heart racing with terror, anticipation and confusion. This wasn’t her room. The air smelled of herbs and antiseptic, but she didn't remember anything that would have ended up with her near either of those things. Her hands twitched and she looked down, IV lines threaded into her skin, tape pressed tightly across the crook of her elbow. And that's the moment her eyes landed on Jonas who was standing there, arms crossed, as if he jad been waiting for this very moment for ages. His eyes were dark with exhaustion but sharp, calculating. And behind them… something else. But Lexie didn't want to
