LOGINThey're supposed to be forbidden. At least, it’s what I keep telling myself whenever I see them. Yet, when my once close friends of 18 yrs begin to drift away, I’m suddenly left standing, alone, even as they move into their new roles within the pack. My role being null and void, even with me being born the son of a Gamma. Always being told I’m useless as the pack treats me with zero respect. “Worthless Runt” “Freak” “Pathetic” Only a few choice words that my pack likes to use against me whenever they see me. And when becoming bruised and battered seems to be a newfound favorite I take a risk and try to flee only to be stopped by them. My future Alpha, Beta and Delta. “Where are you going?” “Out” “Uh huh sure, and you're taking that with you?” Snatching my bag, they move to look at me with knowing stares, a stare filled with longing, pain and purpose. “Give that back.” “I think not little mate, your ours, now and forever and were not letting go” Crap. I think things just got a whole lot more complicated than it needed to be.

“Okay Mama, PUSH” orders the voice of a Doctor, a Doctor who was currently standing at the receiving end of a woman who was currently in labor with her first pup. The woman is crying and screaming as pain radiates alongside her body. A storm currently raging outside as the woman continues to give birth.
“Come on honey. One more solid push. He’s almost here” replies a male's voice as he continues to help support his wife and mate. Their Alpha, Luna, Beta and Delta are all currently waiting for them out in the lobby for the news of the newborn Gamma who was set to arrive any minute.
“Oh Moon. Austin… I-I can’t do this” cries the woman, her body exhausted from the intense labor of the newborn pup still inside of her.
“Yes you can Layla. Our son needs you. Come on, one more push and then he’ll be out” urges Austin to his mate, Layla, knowing she wanted to give up but couldn’t for the sake of their son.
“He’s right though, one more good solid push should do it.”
Nodding weakly at the Doctor, Layla moves to push on the next big contraction. Her body pushing with everything she had when suddenly the sound of screaming could be heard. The sound of an infant as it continued to rain and pour just outside the main Hospital.
“Congratulations Gamma. A perfectly healthy baby boy.” smiles the Doctor as he moves to hand him over to a nurse to get cleaned up before giving him back over to his mother.
Collapsing against the bed due to her lack of strength does Layla wait patiently for her child. A nurse now moving to hand the baby over to her once cleaned. The bond of mother and child almost instant as Austin moves to smile lovingly at his mate and son.
‘Ours’ whispers Austin's wolf, Kear, a purr rising from deep within them as they share this moment.
‘Yes Kear, Ours’ whispers Austin back to his wolf who's still purring happily.
Watching the scene unfold silently before them does the Doctor move to speak up yet again, “Congratulations once mora Layla, you did wonderful. Now then, did you two have a name picked out for him so I might be able to register him with the Pack records?”
“Tori. Tori Hall. Future Gamma of Ambersky Pack” whispers Layla in awe of her tiny bundle of joy that lay within her arms.
“Pardon? Did you say Gamma? That’s impossible. Your child currently has no scent. He completely smells human. No way will he be able to become the next Gamma of this pack” remarks the Doctor, shocked by what he was hearing.
“WHAT! That’s impossible! He’s our son. We’ve been trying for him for nearly 5 years now. How does his rank, his birthright, relate to him having or not having a scent? He’s our son” cries Layla now offended by what the Doctor had said to her.
“I’m sorry Gamma. I didn't mean to speak out of tone. I’ll be sure to note it all within the pack records” stammers the Doctor once he moves to leave the room followed by his nurses, leaving Austin and Layla to their tiny new addition.
“Oh Austin. What shall we do? If our son is what the Doctor says is true and he is indeed scentless then he’ll be picked on as he gets older. No other wolf will want him nor will he be able to find his mate when he becomes of age. We need answers now” cries Layla, Keena her wolf whimpering in pain for her pup.
“I know dear. I know. I’ll talk to Alpha Chase, see if he can help us sort this all out” suggests Austin just as another voice moves to speak up, drawing the attention of the two as it did.
“Ask me what?” comes the voice of Alpha Chase as he moves to stand within the room.
The Alpha now entering the room alongside his son Jake along with his Luna and Mate Alyssa as well as his Beta, Beta Nathaniel and Delta, Delta Leo both bringing their children, Zak and Alex as well.
“Alpha” replies Austin, tilting his head in respect to his packs Alpha and leader of Ambersky.
“Ask me what Austin? You know you can ask me anything” replies Alpha Chase.
Clearing his throat does Austin move to speak up.
“My wife and I need your help Alpha. According to the Doctor, our son smells scentless. Almost human. And while I’m inclined to believe him based on facts and lack of smell, I know Tori is ours. We’ve been trying for 5 long years only to be blessed by the Moon Goddess now.”
“Hmm, that does sound problematic if you ask me. But I shall seek out Council with the Elders. I will see if they know anything about wolves and not having a scent. See if there's any recorded history that might be able to help us better to understand what’s going on with little Tori. But for now, you and Layla should rest. Your family has gone through much.” admits Alpha Chase to his Gamma and friend.
“Thank you” whispers Austin just as Jake, Zak and Alex each move to approach Tori by the bed.
“What’s his name?” asks Zak, curious blue eyes now on Tori who was sleeping soundly.
“His name is Tori. He’ll be Jake's new Gamma someday just like you’ll become the new Beta and Alex the new Delta.” smiles Austin as he moves to show the children his son.
“He’s tiny. And smells funny too” offers Alex, his green eyes watching the tiny bundle with curious eyes.
“He does. But hopefully that’ll change as he gets older.”
Nodding, the three young wolves each continue to watch over Tori even as he continues to sleep soundly. A smile on each of their faces, a piece of them knowing that whatever the Moon Goddess had planned for them would surely involve Jake, Zak, Alex and Tori.
“Okay my son. Time for us to go” calls Alpha Chase, having been there for a while now and decided it was time for them to leave in order for Tori and Layla to rest.
“Aww… But I don’t want to. I want to stay here with Tori” whines Jake, his one blue, one green eye now looking at his father almost pleadingly.
“Don’t worry Jake. You can see Tori again soon okay” offers Layla having seen the way the young Alpha acted around her son.
“Promise?”
“I promise”
Smiling happily does Jake, Zak and Alex both move to head back towards their fathers but not before surprising everyone within the room by placing a sweet gentle kiss upon Tori’s little head almost as if promising Tori that they would come back before finally leaving Austin and his family within the room to rest.
Jake’s POV“And that’s completely normal my child” chimes a new voice. The voice female which causes us to look at who had spoken. Mother and I both gasping at who it was we saw.“Moon Goddess”Mother and I both quick to bow in hopes of showing our respect to the great Moon Goddess herself. The Moon Goddess simply smiling as she continued to watch us. “Please, just call me Selene.”“Selene?”“Yes, Selene”Upon hearing that does Mother and I both move to relax. Our focus still on Selene as she continued to stand before us. “Selene, why are you here? I mean, I only ask because it’s rare for you to show yourself to others.”Selene simply giggling at the question, as if she wasn’t phased by it in the least.“Yes, that is true. And while I do rarely show myself to others, I did feel like I needed to show myself to you before I spoke with Tori.”“Tori?”“Yes. For you see…. Tori and Rune are what I call special. As they are what I call magical runes or in layman’s term a Rune wolf. Another t
Jake’s POVWhat in the Moon Goddess’s realm did Lilyanna think she was doing! Not only is she being totally disrespectful to me and the pack but to me and my mates as well.Tori’s mother having contacted me just shortly after Lilyanna had left their house but not before giving Tori a note. A note in regards to the Luna Games. Games that had been banned for as long as I could remember. Games that were dangerous as those who participated in them became violent.Vox growling at the thought of our mate playing those games and with Lilyanna of all people. A notion that was completely unacceptable. For not only were they dangerous but Tori was more than likely carrying our pups or at least that was our theory based on what we all smelt when hanging around him in general. The scent faint but as the 2 weeks began to pass by so did the scents until finally all that was left was the one that smelled highly of lilac, lemon and almond. The unique scent that was Tori’s. And while Tori might not ha
Tori’s POV~ 2 Weeks Later ~It’s officially been 2 weeks since the day I had gotten sick and the day my weird heat cycle began. And since then the guys have been acting extremely weird. More so than normal. And although Alex and I did officially mark one another during my strange heat, a piece of me still felt incomplete. Like that of a puzzle.‘It’s because we need Aaron’ whispers Rune. Rune having been hibernating off and on during the past 2 weeks began to leave me feeling a little bit off as well.Rune occasionally growling if someone so much as touched our mates and if we weren’t doing that then I was being extremely hormonal the next. Almost like our body was changing and it was throwing me for a loop.Unable to predict what my next mood swing would be until it happened. Jake and Aaron both suggesting that I take time to myself and just relax.A scoff rising at the thought of me relaxing.Ha, me relax. Not likely. My thoughts soon interrupted by that of my mom.“Tori dear, coul
Alex’s POVThe moment Tori passed out from us biting and marking the other did a piece of me become instantly worried. Worried because Tori wasn’t responding to anything I was saying or the fact that Rune wasn’t present either.Volt trying to explain to me that Rune was just sleeping and or protecting Tori’s mind that it was now harder to reach both of them in turn. An unlikely explanation only because when Jake and Zak both mentioned their mating to me did both say that Tori and Rune were both present.A natural reaction to have so my only concern moving forward was why Tori was so unresponsive with me.My hands quick to shift Tori back against the bed in order for me to get a better view of my mate. His body fine in terms of injury yet that didn’t mean he didn’t have any on the inside of him which made the concern for him that much more.My nose quick to sniff. My need to run my nose along his body steadily rising as I began working my way down from his neck towards his chest and st
