It's pretty expensive

Thankfully, I didn’t hear any complaint from Brent when I told him that I will be meeting my two friends. He smiled and said he will drive me to our meeting place. He informed me that he’ll be out to meet Simon too.

"Here," he extended his arm and I saw a gold card. "What's this?" I furrowed my brows. "Use this to pay for your stuff," he replied. "Nah, no need," I refused and he frowned. 

"What's wrong?" I asked in confusion. "Accept this card," he insisted. I reached for it because I know I'm running late. A smile flashed on his face right away like I did the right thing. I didn't want to argue with him anymore because we've already wasted a lot of time.
