Orion ended the call abruptly. He had experienced a whole lot of charade but this one was me and he wouldn't lie to himself by saying that this wasn't weird for him.

She was a dog with a bone.

His phone buzzed the next waking moment, reminding him of the next move.

*"Mr. Johnathan Chase, set for a luncheon."*

It was crazy for all of them to think that setting up something was disastrous as this was going to get him in his feelings or make me do something that he shouldn't.

He had only one thing to do and there was nothing that could stop him from actualizing whatever he had already planned.

His next move was easy, Jonathan was trying to send a message that he was not affected by the latest happenings but he knew his brother well enough to know that he was indeed destabilized.

Now the ever stubborn Samantha, had miraculously decided that she wanted nothing to do with his wealth when he wanted also nothing but to spoil her with the good things of life.

How dare she think I should call the shots?

His phone buzzed, a little bit too arrogantly for his liking and he would have wanted nothing but sort out the latest issues without compounding more problems for himself.

How on earth was he supposed to go on with the latest respite if he couldn't even work something out?

He swiped across his tablet screen, realizing that he had been sent a message for one of the people that he wasn't on good terms with.

Clarissa's text stood proudly on his screen. "I hear that you of all people have gotten married."

How dare she contact him after all this while?

What was she hoping was going to happen?

Orion's face contorted in anger. She was here to cause nothing but disaster.

A few more minutes later he was heading into the elevator of the company. He couldn't take any days off for honeymoon like he had done with Samantha.

The entire weight of the world rested on his shoulders.

His employees looked at him differently as soon as he walked in. "Good morning sir, congratulations on your new..."

The raise of his eyebrows shut them up immediately letting them realize that there was no need for them to continue on that path.

As soon as he turned his back, whispers surged. Quiet enough for them not to land into trouble, but just loud enough for them to express their ire.

"Why doesn't he want to be congratulated? For a man of his caliber,  I'm surprised that he didn't have a huge wedding." Salma, one of the guys in marketing, spoke.

A snicker broke out between them.

"What is crazy is that you think that he's going to be a little bit happy with whatever he has but I think that one way or the other he is allergic to excitement. No one can tell me anything other than that." Godiva laughed again.

They were dancing with the possibility of being fired but they would rather have it that way.

The weirdest part of the entire discussion was the fact that they knew the consequences but they were willing to go with it and see where it was going to land them.

"I'm sure you already have a job somewhere else and that's why you're contemplating the life of a billionaire instead of thinking about the things that you are currently facing." Ethan, the managing director spoke.

Everyone's scrambled to their seats, while still speaking glasses at each other and having inside jokes.

Ethan shook his head. He was tired of begging on behalf of men that did not even want to be freed.

It was almost like they had a kick out of acting crazy and he wasn't going to be the one to stop their craziness instead he was going to spur them on and watch them get fired.

"If you know what's good for you you would abandon those silly thoughts you have in mind and focus on what you need to do."

Orion entered his office, feeling a little bit weird. Surprisingly he wanted Samantha to be present. He could make one call and she will come running, but not to her detriment.

Slotting in his key card, he headed to a seat.

There was only a little that a man could take before he finally decided to rebel and do the things that he had in mind all along.

The need for you to keep showing up when things were not even going as planned was not something that he wanted to be overwhelmed with.

His fingers itched to release a statement that was permanently going to destabilize Jonathan's company but he wanted to bide his time.

Jonathan was expecting him to react with violence the especially going on the news and spewing trash when asked questions but he wasn't going to play that dirty game.

Jonathan would have to do more to get him out of the state that he currently was.

A few minutes later and after answering many calls and given his verdict on issues he decided to let out some steam.

He wasn't done with his thoughts when he received a buzz from his secretary. "Sir, you have a visitor."

Downing his glass of martini, he responded instantly. "Who is it?"

"Miss Clarissa."

Could he just stop having one moment of annoyance throughout today?

She was definitely trying to get on his nerves.

Just before he could give the response he heard the door clicking open.

"Hey, baby, I'm sorry for barging in. If you would have taken your calls you would have seen my message." Clarissa called excitedly.

He wanted nothing more than to bash her face against the wall. “Why did you come here?”

Clarissa removed her white trench coat, revealing her lacy lingerie “I wore this specially for you, do you like it?”

His phone buzzed again, “Sir, Mrs. Sharpe is on her way.” His secretary's voice resounded through the intercom.

Chapter 6.Samantha woke up groggy the next morning groggy and disoriented. A little lightheaded, but full with life and hope, her eyelids fluttered shut, as the events of last night came crashing down on her She had had sex with The Orion Sharpe! How weird was that?! Well, it wasn't weird, it was the best moments of her life and she was left with nothing but memories that she doubted was going to leave her psyche. A rap at the door drew Samantha out of the slurs of last night's reimagining. With a lazy yawn, her eyes popped open, only to reckon that she was utterly alone. 'Of course, he wouldn't want to be caught with a mere mortal like me.' Her thoughts echoed loudly. At the second rap, she was on her feet, reaching for her dress. Samantha stood in disbelief as Orion arrived at her doorstep the next day by exactly 4pm, picking her up without warning. Now, she appeared exactly as she had agreed to be: the wife of Orion Sharpe, the multi-billionaire.When they arrived at the wedding reception at precisely six in the evening, Samantha’s anxiety twisted her insides, but she was oddly pleased to see that Jonathan had lived up to his reputation. Narcissistic and obnoxious as ever, he had only invited people he considered less wealthy than himself. The knowledge that Orion, her “husband,” outclassed everyone in the room by far gave her a small thrill of satisfaction. At

"Marry me, Samantha."The words hung in the air like a ticking bomb, threatening to shatter everything Samantha thought she knew about this meeting. She took a step back from the desk, her brows furrowing as she stared at Orion in disbelief.“With all due respect, you can’t be serious,” she said, her voice tight and sharp.Orion leaned back in his chair, letting out a low chuckle, that infuriating smirk dancing on his lips. “Oh, but I am.”Samantha’s confusion only deepened. “Why? How does marrying me help you?”The smirk on Orion’s face faded, replaced by a cold, calculating look that made her spine tingle with unease. “Because it’ll ruin Jonathan’s world in the most delicious way.”Her body went rigid at the mention of Jonathan. She knew Orion was ruthless, but this... this was madness. “Jonathan? What does he have to do with this?”Orion straightened in his chair, his gaze locking onto hers with a frightening intensity. “Jonathan believes he’s won. He thinks divorcing you was the u

Orion Sharpe. He was known to many as a cold, ruthless man with no love for anything but business. The man she once knew and loved had become a thorn in her side and the cause of all her pain as she sat there alone and broken. But she wasn’t going to show that face to him, instead she kept her expression stoic and cold as the silence in the boardroom stretched on further.Johnathan had begun to shift in his seat, despite the seemingly peaceful atmosphere. Whether it was out of guilt or just discomfort at being in the presence of his ex-wife, he didn’t look very happy at all.“Sam,” he finally said, his voice smooth and placating. She was silent, though her heart clenched at him saying her nickname like they were still friends, or lovers. The man she used to call the love of her life continued, “Look, I know this hasn’t been eas
