LOGINA little lightheaded, but full with life and hope, her eyelids fluttered shut, as the events of last night came crashing down on her
She had had sex with The Orion Sharpe!
How weird was that?!
Well, it wasn't weird, it was the best moments of her life and she was left with nothing but memories that she doubted was going to leave her psyche.
A rap at the door drew Samantha out of the slurs of last night's reimagining.
With a lazy yawn, her eyes popped open, only to reckon that she was utterly alone.
'Of course, he wouldn't want to be caught with a mere mortal like me.' Her thoughts echoed loudly.
At the second rap, she was on her feet, reaching for her dress.
She took a glance at her reflection in the mirror. Could anyone know that she had been thoroughly plowed through?
That was her making light of the real situation.
Planting a fake smile on her face as usual, she stepped forward, and opened the door.
A lady in white uniform stared at her. "Good morning, Mrs. Sharpe." A wide smile greeted her.
Like an avalanche, the memories of her getting married to Orion on impulse and now she was left with silence.
Oh... thank you."
"Mr Sharpe instructed us to bring something to you. A few changes of clothes and towels if you don't mind."
She didn't mind but was a little bit skeptical about what was going on.
Samantha's heart swelled with gratitude that he didn't let her go back to work in last night's clothes. What would have been her fate if one of the bystanders spotted her?
"He has informed me..." She played along.
She was forever going to be grateful for him covering her so quickly that nobody would have been able to figure out that she was shitting them.
Another lady poked her head forward and then handed her a bag of designer clothes.
YSL?
Her eyes grew bigger as soon as she inspected the clothing bags and couldn't be more jumpy.
Just yesterday he had ordered a lot of clothes for her and today he was still doing the same?
If he was so caring, why did he leave?
Something buzzed in the room and she sprang towards the object. Her phone.
It had to be Orion.
True to her thoughts was his name flashing on the screen as a text icon popped up.
*I trust you got my package. You don't have to come into work today, nobody expects you to be present so early. They would expect that you take time to enjoy your honeymoon.*
Her hand hovered over the phone as she thought of the best answer to give to what she was currently facing without sounding a little bit rude or crazy.
Of course he knew better than to antagonize her this way but she would not also be surprised if there were a whole lot of things that she had not gotten right.
She couldn't cuss out his condescending remarks because he had made up for it by providing her with sufficient clothes for the week.
Another message popped in when she was reluctant to reply and she took a deep breath.
If he was going to play this way by all means she was going to show him but she didn't care about what people said, instead she cared about what truly mattered.
This time his texts annoyed her. 'When are you moving into my house?'
'We haven't spoken about our living conditions.' she thought.
Because she was in a hurry to scorn her ex-husband she had forgotten to discuss something so important that was going to leave a long lasting impression.
'Where are you supposed to live?'
It was a rhetorical question which she didn't expect that he was going to reply to.
He had gone MIA and had the nerve not to be around when she woke up so that they could have a normal discussion.
Her phone started ringing.
She was skeptical about picking up the phone and listening to Orion's deep voice. After last night, she didn't think that she could handle the way he operated when he was in a good mood.
"I have my guys at the front of your house but we need your permission to get in."
Her ears roared with anger.
How dare he take whatever long humans make a huge one out of it?
He wanted to prove that he was that important but he had failed because he needed her permission to...
"Samantha?..." His cool voice sounded like a glass of cool water in a desert.
"I heard you the first time but I'm not in support."
"And why is that?"
She could hear his patronizing voice, asking what exactly she had in her apartment that was holding her back.
"We had an agreement and I would love to have a house by the time it expires." She settled with the least antagonizing response.
It was only going to be dignified if she responded accordingly to what he had planned.
"Samantha, you don't have to worry about owning a house..."
"Well, not all of us have access to money the way you do so please allow me to hold something so dear to me." She pleaded, her tone leaving no room for arguments instead just a stance that she was not willing to budge on.
"Okay, you get to keep the house as usual, but you have to come home tonight." He reiterated.
The idea of having her house was because she wanted to retain freedom and not because she couldn't end up renting another apartment by the time this charade was over.
"I agree with that. I would love to spend a few hours more here while I..."
"I sent you my card. You can use it to get whatever you want."
Irritation flashed in her eyes at his rude interruption.
Maybe she was a little bit paranoid but there was only one thing to do, and that was simple.
They had to sign a lot of agreements. "I'm going to earn my own keep, Orion. On paper we are the perfect husband and wife, but in reality I would love to spend my own money."
Thinking Caps on Steroids Getting Samantha's signature was the easiest thing that she could even tender, of all the mistakes that she must have made, this was the only one that kept her awake. Jonathan, for reasons best known to him, had still not reached out to her, and that upset her even more than she wanted to admit. If he wasn't speaking about this, that means he was planning something sinister, and it was all going to be in her benefit if she was able to find out what it was, instead of just leaving it to mean nothing. "Do you have anything in mind or is this just because of what's been happening that has made you very angry?" He asked her, smiling softly as He waited for her to pick up from where she must have stopped, and then just focus on what was actually needed from both of them. A long time ago, she wouldn't have wanted anything to do with the money in front of her, but now she was trying to take things one step at a time and see things from his own perspective and n
Samantha's hands trembled vividly as she thought about what was currently going on. Of all the mistakes that could have been made she never imagined that Orion was going to do something that was going to get on her nerves as much as he did. Secondly, the only way that she could forgive him was if he explained what exactly he was trying to achieve after she had categorically told him that she didn't want any form of sabotage. Orion walked into the house carefully. He had stepped on Samantha's toes, but he was going to take this option over just being docile all the time. "Have they been able to retrieve the files from him?" Samantha accosted him without wasting any more time. If she kept beating around the bush, he was going to think that her silence was consent, and that was far from what she was feeling at the moment. In fact, she had already been very careful enough not to do anything that was going to make her even more angry than she already was. "Do you have any idea how you
Jonathan froze as soon as he came face-to-face with Orion. "Even for someone like you I think that you descended to the point where you no longer think about the future but you think about the instant things that could happen and you've not even thought about how long it's going to take before she recognizes that you can always get your hands dirty." A weird smile appeared on his face. He would be utterly crazy to think that Ryan will not try to pull some stunt but he didn't think you are because going to be in such a derogatory way"Contrary to what you think she's not going to forgive you is because now you've told her that you undermine her decisions and that was exactly the problem she had with me. I don't think that you're ready for what is about to happen in your own house." He fired at Orion. Orion was less concerned by the stupidity that Jonathan was always going to portray and decided that the only way that he could handle this was to forget about him totally and just deal
Samantha jumped away from the building as soon as she got the chance. She should have known that Orion was going to look for ways to reach out to Jonathan but she didn't know what he was up to this time around. "Why the hell didn't you tell me that you put some men to watch over him? What happens when people think that anything that happens to him came from me? Did you even think about the boomerang effect?" She was on the verge of screaming. Orion could be dangerous whenever he wanted to and that was one of the reasons she feared anyone who refused to pick organisms to what he was capable of doing and just decided to go on with their own ideas thanking that he was one to back down when he wanted something. "If you don't want your part of the shares should have told me but I'm not going to let my company down the drain because you decided to take a risk after I told you not to do it." Samantha's mouth opened once and twice like a gaping fish. She had not expected that he was goin
Dancing With The Devil. Orion was already rating for the shenanigans to begin but he was not going to make her realize that anything was wrong instead he was going to pretend like it was normal for people to act crazy and expect him to just take it like that in good strike without fighting against it or coming up with something that was going to leave them in stitches by the time he was done. "So does anybody even think about how this is going to affect other people or is this just based on what day think is the right stuff to do? Doesn't he know that you're trying to sabotage him or does he underestimate your abilities especially when it comes to dealing with somebody that should do not like?" Jonathan asked with a lingering smile on his face. Samantha maintained a placid smile on her face waiting for him to pick up on the fact that she was not here to speak to him instead she had other things running through her mind that she wanted to sort out and want to do things have been han
Samantha strolled into the board, with Orion staring at her so hard that she would have stumbled. If you didn't know better she would have thought that he was in love with her with her responsible he was in making sure that she was at ease. "So we all know the reason I'm here right? We don't have to beat around the bush or pretend like we don't understand what's going on because that's going to be a slap on our faces now we need to stretch our limits and ensure that we get everything right." She spoke. Orion looked at her with pride in his eyes. There was no need for him to start worrying about excluding to her about the context of this partnership and what they stood to gain. Most of the people who were in his shoes only expected that they would be able to get a lot out of this but didn't realize that it was going to be harder for them to work and derive the amount of pleasure that he was currently having. "Now that my partner is here, we have to continue." He said. Samantha ha
