KANE’S POV

I regret what I said to Sara because now she is distant and very formal with me. I thought distance is what I wanted but it’s not. Being away from her and being so formal feels like I have lost something important.

It’s times like these when I wish I had a wolf, he could have been my companion and a friend. Someone to talk to and now all I can do is think about these things and talk to Logan.

Who only lectures me instead of just being my friend and listening to what I have to say. They say the first law of nature is self-preservation. Then why am I regretting what I said to Sara?

She is giving me what I wanted, space. And she is being professional and cold towards me. I never said I wanted that when I brought her here. Maybe she is still angry about the fact that I did not believe her when she told me that Alex was lying.

I chose to believe my good for nothing nephew and now Sara and I are more distant than ever. I am pacing around my office unable to sit still.
