Aye, aye. Hello everyone, your lost author is back.

Before continuing from where we left, let me take this chance to apologize to you guys, my readers. It has been long since I last updated my book and i apologize for that.

Life has been quite hectic for me and sad as well, for the past two months (October and November) and I don't know it'll extend up to this month.

1. In September, I sat for my final exam and had my research and project at the same time. Balancing this three became a little difficult. So I did update my book but just for a few days, I'm sorry for not reaching everyone's expectations.

2. When I travelled home on 5th Oct, I found out my uncle had gotten into an accident and passed away. Having a funeral in the family and that to someone who was very close to me and I lived with him for the 4 years I was in campus, it was devastating.

In the same month, I was expected by school to have my industrial attachment before graduation. So I had my uncle's funeral and attachment, so October went in a flash without me having the chance to update my book. I am very sorry for that too everyone.

My uncle was laid to rest on 28th of Oct, and I became invested in office work since I had to learn because my lecturer would be coming to assess my performance at the office.

3. In November, my life took turn for the better and I was hoping to continue updating my book but who knew, my phone fell into water and got spoilt. It was taken to a technician for repair since I can't afford to buy a new one yet and the money for repair was quite hefty too. It took over two weeks for my dad to fork out that money and I got my phone back.

Though now it has technical problems but I'll make do for now until next year when I can buy a new one.

My laptop on the other hand, sigh, I can't talk about it. It's only left for my siblings to use it to watch movies. It's spoilt.

4. This month, I had everything laid out and been ready to write but got another shocking news, my grandmother passed away due HBP on 30th of November. She will he laid to rest on 11th December.

But no worries, I'll be able to try and update the book. Please do forgive me for the delay that have caused everyone.

I'm still new at writing and that's why I find it hard to balance everything that has been going in my life.

Please, just a little more time and everything will go back in line just it was before. I hope you won't take me as a bad person for the time that I have wasted in updating my book.

I'll be sure to give collective chapters by tomorrow To MAke it up to you

I hope you are doing well. It seems like there’s a lot going on. I hope and pray everything is good. Thanks for writing this book, I haven’t read it all yet and this is still on going anyway, but so far, it soothes me.. it’s not a brutal book like the others.. it’s like a comfort book for me

Yang Lifei tilted her head slightly, her expression almost curious—too calm for someone who had just humiliated her former friend in front of an entire room.“Since you’re happy for me,” she continued, her voice light but carrying across the hall, “then you wouldn’t mind explaining something to everyone here… would you?”A ripple of unease spread through the crowd.Xue Li’s fingers curled into her clutch. “W-What do you mean?”Yang Lifei took a slow step forward, the hem of her red dress whispering against the polished floor. Her gaze flicked briefly to Li Xuan before returning to Xue Li.“I’ve been wondering,” she said softly, “why, on the night of my engagement… I lost felt really uncomfortable after drinking the juice you handed me.”The room fell dead silent.Li Xuan stiffened instantly. “That’s ridiculous—”“Is it?” Yang Lifei cut in, her tone still gentle, but her eyes sharp enough to draw blood. “Then perhaps you can explain why you were also in that hotel room.”A collective g

Yang Lifei hears them. She pauses—but instead of reacting, she smiles faintly thinking internally, last life… I would have shrunk back. Not this time.Jin Chen taps her lightly on the back, “Let them talk.”Across the room, Jin Chen’s mother raises her glass, everyone's attention is drawn to her,“Everyone, may I have your attention?” The room quiets.“Thank you all for coming to celebrate my birthday. Tonight is special… not just for me. She gestures toward Yang Lifei, “Because I finally have someone I’ve been waiting to introduce properly.”Murmurs spread, everyone guessing who she wants to introduce and almost instinctively turns to look at Yang Lifei. Jin Chen had never been close to women before but now he was holding a woman on his mother's birthday party, and the attention seeking dress the said lady is wearing. Most people didn't know about their engagement because it was only close family and friends who attended.Xue Li frowns and mutters under her breath, “What is she doing…?”

  • Second Chance: My Vengeful Wife   Chapter Fifty

Yang Lifei decided that she will not dwell on Madam Jin's pick on her dress, it was her party and she was going to let her have fun.Since there was still enough time until the guests would start arriving, she decided to take a stroll in the family garden and relive the memories she didn't get to enjoy in her last life.Jin Chen was more that happy to take his wife around. Knowing that their past life relationship was not so good because of misunderstandings and lack of proper communication between them, he wanted to get even more closer to her than they already were.Yang Lifei enjoyed the view, drank tea and fed the fish in the mini lake before they went back to their room to get ready since it was almost time for the guests to start arriving.Jin Chen had just walked out to take a call when his mother arrived to check on their progress getting ready and found Yang Lifei struggling with setting the dress right."Wow," she was amazed when she saw her. She looked breathtaking in the d

  • Second Chance: My Vengeful Wife   Chapter Forty Nine

"Okay, Mr know it all. Time to go to bed. We have a lot of activities tomorrow," Yang Lifei said to Jin Chen who was still holding onto her and resting his head on her shoulder."Of course my wife. Even this night, there are a lot of activities as well,"Jin Chen said and then scooped Yang Lifei in his hands before making his way towards their bed. They really had a long night ahead of them.***The couple was awakened the next morning by the insistent knocks by Jin Chen's mother. Although Yang Lifei was still sleeping, Jin Chen had woken up earlier. Even if he slept really late, he would normally be up by 6.30 latest. Since they had had a long night, Yang Lifei was so exhausted that she was still asleep by 8. Jin Chen just laid beside her the whole time she was sleeping until they were interrupted by the knocking on the door.Jin Chen definitely knew that his mother was the culprit. In the whole Jin family, only his mother had the guts to knock on his door. When his mother had started

  • Second Chance: My Vengeful Wife   Chapter Forty Eight

"Grandma, " Jin Chen called his grandmother out. His grandmother would not lower his points in front of his wife, he won't allow it."Yes my dear," Old Madam Jin answered him with a smile like she wasn't teasing him a moment ago."My wife knows me so well, more than you do and she's still in love with me," Jin Chen said with a smug smile leaving the old lady gaping at him like an idiot. Indeed Yang Lifei even made him know how to be smug and joke around."Darling, may God bless where you came from, you're such a blessing to us," Old Madam Jin said to Yang Lifei with a kind smile."Come on grandma, you're making me embarrassed with all the praises," Yang Lifei said with a shy smile but she knew that the old lady really meant what she said. Even herself had noticed how much Jin Chen had changed when they get along amicably compared to their relationship in the past life."Come on child, you know we mean it," the old man told Yang Lifei too. Whatever these two old bones said regarding Ya

Since Yang Lifei never attended the Jin family gatherings, she never met them and after Madam Jin's birthday party, she never wished to see the Jin family members again."Old Master, she looks just like her grandmother when she was still young," Old Madam Jin said to the Old Master."Yes, if not for her being too young, one might think it's her," Old Master Jin also commented on the resemblance between Yang Lifei and her paternal grandmother. Yang Lifei's grandmother had been a very beautiful young lady back then and had given the Old Master of the Yang family a hard time while chasing her and even had to face a lot of competition from other men including Old Master Jin but eventually, Old Master Yang had been the final winner of her heart and even got married to her.The old generation of these two families had been friends since before and so they knew each other very well. And both of them understood how Yang Lifei really resembled her grandmother. If only she were alive to see tha
