Aye, aye. Hello everyone, your lost author is back.

Before continuing from where we left, let me take this chance to apologize to you guys, my readers. It has been long since I last updated my book and i apologize for that.

Life has been quite hectic for me and sad as well, for the past two months (October and November) and I don't know it'll extend up to this month.

1. In September, I sat for my final exam and had my research and project at the same time. Balancing this three became a little difficult. So I did update my book but just for a few days, I'm sorry for not reaching everyone's expectations.

2. When I travelled home on 5th Oct, I found out my uncle had gotten into an accident and passed away. Having a funeral in the family and that to someone who was very close to me and I lived with him for the 4 years I was in campus, it was devastating.

In the same month, I was expected by school to have my industrial attachment before graduation. So I had my uncle's funeral and attachment, so October went in a flash without me having the chance to update my book. I am very sorry for that too everyone.

My uncle was laid to rest on 28th of Oct, and I became invested in office work since I had to learn because my lecturer would be coming to assess my performance at the office.

3. In November, my life took turn for the better and I was hoping to continue updating my book but who knew, my phone fell into water and got spoilt. It was taken to a technician for repair since I can't afford to buy a new one yet and the money for repair was quite hefty too. It took over two weeks for my dad to fork out that money and I got my phone back.

Though now it has technical problems but I'll make do for now until next year when I can buy a new one.

My laptop on the other hand, sigh, I can't talk about it. It's only left for my siblings to use it to watch movies. It's spoilt.

4. This month, I had everything laid out and been ready to write but got another shocking news, my grandmother passed away due HBP on 30th of November. She will he laid to rest on 11th December.

But no worries, I'll be able to try and update the book. Please do forgive me for the delay that have caused everyone.

I'm still new at writing and that's why I find it hard to balance everything that has been going in my life.

Please, just a little more time and everything will go back in line just it was before. I hope you won't take me as a bad person for the time that I have wasted in updating my book.

I'll be sure to give collective chapters by tomorrow To MAke it up to you

I hope you are doing well. It seems like there’s a lot going on. I hope and pray everything is good. Thanks for writing this book, I haven’t read it all yet and this is still on going anyway, but so far, it soothes me.. it’s not a brutal book like the others.. it’s like a comfort book for me

  • Second Chance: My Vengeful Wife   Chapter Forty Nine

"Okay, Mr know it all. Time to go to bed. We have a lot of activities tomorrow," Yang Lifei said to Jin Chen who was still holding onto her and resting his head on her shoulder."Of course my wife. Even this night, there are a lot of activities as well,"Jin Chen said and then scooped Yang Lifei in his hands before making his way towards their bed. They really had a long night ahead of them.***The couple was awakened the next morning by the insistent knocks by Jin Chen's mother. Although Yang Lifei was still sleeping, Jin Chen had woken up earlier. Even if he slept really late, he would normally be up by 6.30 latest. Since they had had a long night, Yang Lifei was so exhausted that she was still asleep by 8. Jin Chen just laid beside her the whole time she was sleeping until they were interrupted by the knocking on the door.Jin Chen definitely knew that his mother was the culprit. In the whole Jin family, only his mother had the guts to knock on his door. When his mother had started

"Grandma, " Jin Chen called his grandmother out. His grandmother would not lower his points in front of his wife, he won't allow it."Yes my dear," Old Madam Jin answered him with a smile like she wasn't teasing him a moment ago."My wife knows me so well, more than you do and she's still in love with me," Jin Chen said with a smug smile leaving the old lady gaping at him like an idiot. Indeed Yang Lifei even made him know how to be smug and joke around."Darling, may God bless where you came from, you're such a blessing to us," Old Madam Jin said to Yang Lifei with a kind smile."Come on grandma, you're making me embarrassed with all the praises," Yang Lifei said with a shy smile but she knew that the old lady really meant what she said. Even herself had noticed how much Jin Chen had changed when they get along amicably compared to their relationship in the past life."Come on child, you know we mean it," the old man told Yang Lifei too. Whatever these two old bones said regarding Ya

Since Yang Lifei never attended the Jin family gatherings, she never met them and after Madam Jin's birthday party, she never wished to see the Jin family members again."Old Master, she looks just like her grandmother when she was still young," Old Madam Jin said to the Old Master."Yes, if not for her being too young, one might think it's her," Old Master Jin also commented on the resemblance between Yang Lifei and her paternal grandmother. Yang Lifei's grandmother had been a very beautiful young lady back then and had given the Old Master of the Yang family a hard time while chasing her and even had to face a lot of competition from other men including Old Master Jin but eventually, Old Master Yang had been the final winner of her heart and even got married to her.The old generation of these two families had been friends since before and so they knew each other very well. And both of them understood how Yang Lifei really resembled her grandmother. If only she were alive to see tha

Seeing how excited Madam Jin was, Yang Lifei didn't wait for Jin Chen to go together, so she went up the stairs to meet her before she could break away from Master Jin. When she finished the last stair, Master Jin couldn't hold onto Madam Jin anymore and she broke free engulfing Yang Lifei in a tight hug. Although the would talk every night before going to bed, Madam Jin felt like she hadn't seen Yang Lifei in like forever."I missed you too mother," Yang Lifei said as she returned the overwhelming hug of Madam Jin. From day one, Madam Jin liked her and this always made her feel overwhelmed with a lot of emotions and from the fact that she never returned her feelings in the past life always made her feel guilty."I told you honey, Fei'r should have been my child instead of him. A child should know how to miss their mother but him, hmph," Madam Jin said to Master Jin as she looked at Jin Chen who just reached where they were. Jin Chen heard what his mother said but wasn't bothered at

They actually liked the present VP than the past one who would stare at them and one would feel chills. She used to be so scary that making a mistake regarding work in the company, you would light candles before facing her if you had to do it. At least now, one would feel at ease knowing that the vice president is not as scary as she was before. Whatever Jin Chen was doing to her, he should continue because maybe in the near future, she wouldn't be cold anymore but would be as bright as sunshine. The week went faster than Yang Lifei had expected. Before she knew it, it was already Friday evening and Jin Chen was driving then to the Jin family residence. Since the next day was Madam Jin's birthday party, the elders of the Jin family had insisted that they spend the night before the party at the residence. They had thought about arriving on the next day and make a grand entrance but the elders wouldn't allow it."Chen I'm very nervous," Yang Lifei was indeed nervous that she could even

When Yang Lifei and Jin Chen finally left Hilda Jones place, Yang Lifei was really happy about the outcome of their meeting. At least she could finally feel at ease because she had settled the issue of getting Madam Jin's birthday present. Seeing how Yang Lifei was happy, Jin Chen knew just how much convincing Hilda Jones to come to his mother's birthday party was very important to Yang Lifei. She was adamant on changing how things happened in their last life and that made him happy too because he knew they would have a better and marriege life in this present lifetime."Happy?" Jin Chen finally asked the happy Yang Lifei."Very. Chen you don't know but after hearing why your godmother and mother never met again in the last life, I'm glad that we took this initiative to invite her to mother's birthday. Who knew they'd be so crazy to make such a bet? I wish we had known earlier," Yang Lifei spoke faster without even catching a breath in between her words. One could tell the excitement
