Aurora’s POV

Of course.

“Dates will soon be communicated, so we encourage you all to find your dance partners and prepare for the ceremony.”

The announcement continued, but I barely heard the rest.

My mind had already wandered off into my previous life.

I had been so excited for this same ball way before this announcement.. I had spent weeks preparing, imagining myself walking into that ballroom beside Sebastian.

I had done everything possible to convince him to take me.

I followed him relentle

Aurora’s POV I rubbed my forehead slowly. I already knew where this was going. The moment Theo asked me to go to the ceremony with him, I had a strange feeling that the universe was preparing another disaster for me. Apparently, having one problem at a time was too much to ask. I slowly turned around. And there he was. Sebastian stood a few feet away with his usual group. Stefan and Lourdes were beside him, while Harry stood slightly behind them. Sebastian’s eyes were fixed on Theo, and judging by the expression on his face, he had heard everything. Of course he had. Before I could say a word, Theo spoke. “I don’t see why it’s your business, Vale.” Sebastian’s jaw tightened. He stepped forward. “As long as it concerns Aurora, it most definitely concerns me!” I closed my eyes for a brief second. Here we go again. Theo raised an eyebrow. “Really?” “Yes.” Sebastian didn’t even hesitate. “Got a problem?” Theo smiled. “And what are you to her?” Sebastian answered without

Aurora’s POV The moment classes ended, I hurried toward my locker, eager to drop off the books I had been carrying around all day and finally get out of school. The day had already been exhausting enough, and after everything that had happened recently, the last thing I wanted was another reason to stay behind. I reached my locker and quickly began arranging my books inside. I was halfway through it when someone called out to me. “Miss Grant!” I paused and turned around. The Ceremony Head was walking toward me. I quickly shut my locker and turned to face him properly. “Hello, sir!” He stopped in front of me, holding a few documents against his chest. “Miss Grant, I just got out of the Principal’s office, and I was instructed to inform you about a new policy that has been drafted concerning the coming-of-age ceremony.” I frowned slightly. “A new policy?” “Yes.” He adjusted the documents in his hands before continuing. “The council has decided that all student

Sebastian’s POVThe last class of the day was Alpha training, and normally, it was the one class I looked forward to the most. Today, however, I had absolutely no interest in being there. My mind was still stuck on Aurora and our encounters today. Her words and the way she had looked me straight in the eyes and told me she was done with me.I clenched my jaw as I walked toward the training arena with Harry and Stefan beside me. I had barely spoken since leaving the classroom, and both boys had wisely decided not to push me.The moment we entered the arena, however, a familiar voice greeted us.“Ahh… if it’s not the most incompetent alpha in the circle!”I immediately recognized Theo’s voice, but I ignored him and kept walking but Theo wasn’t having it.“Come on Vale, don't tell me you’re still sulking?” My shoulders stiffened. “I heard you embarrassed yourself a second time. What a shame!”I stopped walking. My fists tightened.Harry glanced at me.“Seb… don’t give him the satisfactio

Sebastian’s POV I stared at the bracelet in my hand, and for the first time in what felt like forever, I felt like I had finally won. Aurora had kept it. Five years. Five damn years, and she had kept the bracelet I gave her years before everything between us became complicated. I had always suspected that beneath all her recent attitude, beneath all her cold words and stubbornness, there was still the same Aurora who had spent years following me around and looking at me like I was the center of her world. And now I had proof. My lips curved into a satisfied smile as I looked at the bracelet dangling between my fingers. She could deny it all she wanted, but actions spoke louder than words. If she truly hated me as much as she claimed, why had she kept something I gave her for five years? My wolf stirred inside me, pleased with the discovery. ‘She is ours.’ I almost believed it. I almost allowed myself to enjoy the feeling. But before I could say anything, Aurora sudd

Aurora’s POVTheo’s words stayed with me longer than I wanted them to.Do you really believe that Sebastian Vale doesn’t have feelings for you?I hated that the question made me think twice. For a brief moment, I wondered if there was something I had been too blind to notice. Maybe Theo had seen something I hadn’t. Maybe Sebastian’s constant interference wasn’t entirely about protecting me from people like Zayne. But then I remembered my first life.I remembered all those years I had spent waiting for Sebastian to notice me.Ten years.Ten long years of loving him, supporting him, running errands for him, helping him whenever he needed me, and making excuses for every little thing he did.If Sebastian truly cared about me, wouldn’t he have shown me at least once?Instead, the moment Lexi came into his life, it had been so easy for him to choose her over me.I shook my head.“No… he doesn’t have feelings for me.”Theo remained silent.“If he did, it wouldn’t have been so easy for him t

Aurora’s POVMy refusal seemed to hit Sebastian harder than I expected. His hands slowly balled into tight fists, and his jaw clenched so hard I could see the muscle twitch beneath his skin. The look in his eyes reminded me of the Sebastian I had known in my previous life, the one who never tolerated being challenged. But I wasn’t that girl anymore. He stared at me for several seconds before speaking.“You should think more carefully before…”“I don’t need to think about anything.” I cut him off before he could finish. “I know what I want, and that is not being your pity charity case!”The classroom went strangely quiet. A crowd was already forming around us. Students were leaving their desks and gathering near the center of the room, eager to watch whatever was happening between Sebastian and me.A few phones were already raised. They were filming.Of course they were. It seemed like everywhere I went, drama followed me.But for once, I didn’t care. Let them watch, let them talk.I w
