Feeling the soft mattress under her, Lydia hummed and moved comfortably on her bed. After a while, she opened her eyes and looked around at the unfamiliar room, and began to wonder where she was. Her body ached, and her stomach grumbled in hunger. Still, on the bed, she began to recall all that happened. She looked around to confirm whether she was in prison or not. A smile formed on her lips, she was so happy that she not only did not die last night, but she also didn't sleep in jail. With a groan, she tried to stand up from the bed when she heard a lady's cry from outside, and she furrowed her brows. She slowly got up from the bed before making her way to the door. After breakfast, as Carson had said it, he made sure Lydia went shopping for a few clothes she could wear instead of wearing big old Ma'am Anny's gowns. Looking at Lydia in the mall, Carson could tell that the woman was scared of selecting the clothes she'll like to buy. He noticed when they stepped into the shop, her eyes caught a beautiful red skirt but when she checked the amount she pulled her hand away so speedily as if the clothes were fire. Taking note of that particular skirt, he gestured for the sales lady to package that particular skirt without her knowing. Lydia kept walking around the shop without picking anything. She was more concerned about the amount of the outfit.
