LOGINPerhaps it was the alcohol in my system, urging and making me bold. I staggered toward him, ignoring Olivia who was yelling my name.
Meanwhile the mysterious man simply stared, his expression blank but amusement glinted in his eyes, like he was watching someone make a decision they might regret.
"Hey handsome, why are here alone?"
Everything about this man screamed danger. He oozed pure villain aura. A rational person would have stayed away from him. But I wasn't thinking straight.
"Perhaps no one has offered you as much as you want. But I'm willing to double any offer that has been made," I said, downing the remaining alcohol in my glass.
He didn't look like the typical male escorts. He looked expensive, regal and untouchable. Something told me he wasn't a gigolo. but I pushed the thought away. If he wasn't, then he'd push me away.
"I want you to be mine for tonight... or forever. I will pay you a generous amount but you have to work based on my terms."
His gaze darkened as he leaned back into his seat, his lips curling into a dangerous, mischievous smirk.
He wasn't going to reject me right? I didn't want him to. He was perfect for my revenge.
"Is that so. Are you sure you can afford my f*e," he spoke in the most alluring sultry voice I've ever heard.
"Of course I can afford your f*e," I said quickly before he changed his mind. He was certainly a gigolo since he didn't deny it. Perhaps he was the exclusive kind.
He didn't speak for a while just observed me. "You don't know me, are you sure you want me? You seem drunk."
Did I need to know him? It wasn't like I wanted a serious relationship with him. I shrugged.
"I'm not drunk and I do want you, perhaps this proves it."I leaned forward clumsily, kissing him lightly before pulling away. "Does this convince you? I could convince you more if you come with me."
I pulled away from him, rising to my feet. He trailed my every move with a heated look, hesitating for only a second before rising to his feet too.
...
I was starting to have second thoughts the moment we arrived at the sunshine hotel. Perhaps it was because I was beginning to sober up. Still I booked us a room for the night using Olivia's name and card.
"Enjoy your stay," the receptionist yelled after us though I didn't bother giving a reply my mind was too muddled at that moment.
This isn't right. No no, I can't do this. It's not too late to turn back. I could apologize and leave right now.
I opened my mouth to speak but the words wouldn't come out.
If I abandoned revenge. I would lose. Alex would still be cheating while I stay silent watching him, breaking until there's nothing left of me. He probably wouldn't even care. He had Kate. And my father who would rather side him than his own daughter.
With that in mind, I pushed every trace of rationality out of my mind. Then I ordered wine to get me fuzzy so I wouldn't think so much. As I drank, the gigolo sat silently on the bed, observing me with his dark gaze. He made no attempt to join me or stop me from drinking.
"I love that man so much," I murmured after downing half the bottle of wine. I was so drunk that everything around me blurred and I started seeing double.
"I loved him so much, stayed faithful but what did I get in return, infidelity. He's been cheating on me with my cousin. Apparently even before we got married, worse part is that my father knew yet he still made me marry him. And what did he say again... Oh, I shouldn't divorce my husband because of mere cheating. Men were polygamous in nature after all, so it's fine if he cheats as long as he doesn't marry her."
Ha...haha.
"Why is it okay for men to cheat..." I cried. "Women are called cheap and uncultured if they do the same yet a man has the right to. Why couldn't he just be faithful to me like I was to him. Or am I unattractive?"
I rose from where I sat on the couch, staggering toward the bed to the male escorts.
"Tell me, am...am I not beautiful."
I laughed hysterically when he remained silent. Even through the haze of alcohol, I could feel the pain gnawing at me.
"Forget it, you're a man too. With a handsome face like yours, you'll probably cheat too."
I wasn't sure if I was been paranoid but his expression twisted into a scowl.
"I would never cheat. If you were mine, I'd never cheat on you."
There wasn't the slightest hint of teasing in his voice. If anything, he sounded almost offended by the accusation.
I chuckled, nearly losing my balance but he caught me before I could fall.
"Sweet talk..."
I placed both hands on his shoulder. "Make me feel good. Make me forget him."
"You're drunk. You're not thinking straight," he said.
Ha...
I scoffed.
"Since when does a gigolo take those things into consideration. Just do what I hired you for."
I kissed him hard, pouring every ounce of my frustrations, anger and hurt into the kiss.
"Just make me forget," I whispered, my voice trembling "please."

The next morning, I woke to a pounding headache. My mask was gone, I was stark naked, and every muscle in my body ached. As I lay there, the memories of the previous night came crashing back, one after another.
Alex's cheating. My revenge. The passionate night I spent with this gigolo.
God ...no.
I couldn't have done that. It was probably a dream. But the naked man lying beside me was evidence it really happened. I was a goddamn sinner, an adulteress. How could I after claiming to love my husband so much.
This was a mistake. A terrible one.
I quickly got out of bed, putting my clothes on. I took out a stack of cash from my purse, then wrote him a little note.
"Forget that this ever happened," then I put the note and the cash together and ran out of the room.
This has to be one big nightmare.
I checked my phone as soon as I hauled a taxi.
A text from Alex.
Two missed calls and a text from Olivia.
I ignored Alex's text clicking on Olivia's. "Babe, are you okay? You ran off with that hot stranger. Please be okay, be safe. Call me once you see my text."
I couldn't talk right now. I didn't feel like doing so, so I texted her. "I'm fine Li. I'll tell you everything when I'm ready."
The taxi soon pulled up in front of my house. I paid the driver and slowly made my way inside. The home I had always loved suddenly felt suffocating, its familiar walls closing in on me with every step.
"Welcome Madame," it was Judith our house keeper. "Sir went out early for an urgent business he said he'd be back tonight."
"Okay, thanks Judith," I replied, heaving a sigh as I walked upstairs.
"I made breakfast ma'am," Judith called after me but I was in no mood for breakfast right now.
"Thanks Judith. I don't want breakfast but could you please prepare a hangover soup for me my head hurts... Thank you," I told her before heading to mine and Alex's room.
The room was neatly arranged and the bedsheet had been changed leaving no signs of Alex's infidelity. Still I couldn't help but feel disgusted as images of the two of them tangled up in this bed came rushing back.
I quickly left the room unable to bear another second in there. I returned to the living room.
After taking the the hangover soup Judith prepared, I tried to finish some of my work though it was impossible since I had a lot in mind. Somehow I dozed off when I opened my eyes again I found Alex peering at me.
ALEX Ayanna's chauffeur dropped her off in front of the Elite hotel. One of the many hotels belonging to the Blackwell's. I didn't want to jump to conclusion that she was meeting with Rain Blackwell just because she came to one of the Blackwell's hotel. It could be someone else, a friend, a client yet I couldn't shake the initial feeling off.Dressed in a backless red silk dress that clung to her body like a second skin, Ayanna drew the attention of all those who passed by as she gracefully walked into the hotel. My phone beeped just then and I looked the message that appeared on it, not mine but Ayanna's message to the anonymous person she was meeting."I'm already here, see you in a minute."Rage surged through me as I read the message, my grip tightening on the stirring wheel until my knuckles turned white. I desperately hoped my intuition was wrong, that Ayanna wasn't cheating on me. The mere thought ignited an unadulterated rage. That she was no longer useful to me didn't make i
ALEX What the f*ck. This place was creepy as hell. An abandoned warehouse at the outskirt of town. It was hidden in a maze of trees I wouldn't have found it if not for the use of GPS. Who the hell was this psychopath who knew about my affair with Kate and what did he want? Why make me come all the way to a place like this?I parked my car in front of the warehouse, heaving a sigh as I slowly stepped out. My legs trembled as I walked and adrenaline course through me at the thought of finally meeting whoever this person was. I'd come alone like the anonymous person instructed but I'd shared my location with Kate just in case.Distant howl echoed through the forest and I trembled in fear increasing my pace toward the warehouse. The door swung open with a shriek when I pushed it and I flinched, glancing around before I walked in. The places was empty, except for the table which sat at the middle of the room with a single lit candle which dimly illuminated the place. The anonymous person
RAINmy expression changed the moment I arrived at grandfather's mansion. Though the dinner was supposed to be by 8.pm I came by 9.pm. purposely delaying to avoid much of the family drama. Heaving a sigh, I walked into the house. Their loud voices welcomed me even before I got to the dining hall."That arrogant brat, he has absolutely no regard for us his elders. Everyone was here by eight except him. If he can't even respect us now, what happens when he finally wears the crown," that high pitched annoying voice belonged to Vivian Blackwell, my second aunt. She was maniputive. Always looking for ways to remove me as the heir of the Blackwell family and give it to her son even though he wasn't a Blackwell."You do make a good point Vivian_ once I wear the crown as the head of the Blackwell family, the first thing I'll do is strip off your right to the Blackwell name. You're married now, you should take your husband's name, stop clinging to the Blackwell name so desperately. Secondly I
"Mr.Blackwell, it is said in your file that you have an unhealthy obsession with a married woman."She looked up for the file with a curious expression and I shrugged."It's not an unhealthy obsession. It's more like an intense obsession and love for her. I desire to claim her for myself, to protect her even if it means killing the bastard she calls her husband. I'd say the urge to kill him grows each day. I sometimes find myself fantasizing over it," I smiled sadistically as I spoke. Suddenly this therapy session didn't seem so absurd I now had someone to share my sinister intentions with. She observed me for a while, an unreadable expression on her face."I'd like it if you address me as Margaret, going forward. she finally broke the silence. "How about you tell me more about this woman, when and how did you meet her?"I thought back to the time I met Ayanna. You probably thought it was the night she approached me at the club. However Ayanna and I met long before that, I was probab
After I left the room I returned to the guest room where Ayanna was, kissed her forehead and lips before leaving....As soon as I walked into my living room, I found Mason sitting on the couch, he slowly glanced up at me, disapproval written all over his face. I get him, it was almost 4 a.m and I was just coming back home after visiting a lover."I'll schedule you an appointment with a therapist to help with your unhealthy obsession," Was all he said before sauntering off to his quarters.Heaving a sigh, I threw myself into the nearest couch. Could my obsession really be cured? Perhaps I should give it a try. I pushed the thought aside as I pulled the spare phone I bought recently from my pocket. It had a chip installed in it to make every call and text untraceable.I smiled sinisterly as I typed a message pressing send before closing my eyes to sleep.Morning came in a flash, I groaned as I stood up, the aroma of food filling the air. I checked the time on my phone, it was 7.am. ju
I gently removed his hand from my shoulder, heaving a sigh as I turn to face him. "Not tonight Alex, I had a long day but go take a quick shower and come, I'll put you to sleep."Reluctantly, he left and I breath a sigh of relief as I resumed drying my hair. By the time he came out of the bathroom I was in my pajamas sitting on the bed. As much as I wanted to sleep before he came, I couldn't bring myself to, not when he was after my life.I helped him dry his hair and helped him into his pajamas like I always do, then I pulled him to bed with me, making him rest his head on my thigh then I slowly massaged his head while humming a soft melody. I always did this. To him I was showing him affection, that may have been the case yet right now I was simply putting my enemy to sleep so I could sleep also. Once I heard his snores, I patted him several times to be sure he'd truly fallen asleep, carefully removing his head from my lap before leaving the room with my pillow. My phone beeped as
AYANNA I hid in the boot of one of the vehicles belonging to the men who'd come to Rain's Villa_Mason as Rain had addressed him. Being a light sleeper, I'd woken up right after his phone beeped, sneaking out to eavesdrop on his conversation with whoever had come to the villa. I listened to their
AYANNA I turned off my phone and begged the taxi driver to hurry so I could get to the house before Alex. Only then could I come up with an excuse for my absence at the party today and quell whatever suspicion he had about me and Rain Blackwell. So far I was only tolerating him and keeping my affa
My entire body froze completely and I looked at him with total disbelief. Perhaps he didn't mean it but the raw emotion in his eyes seemed too sincere to be fake. No he can't. I opened my mouth to speak but no words came out. My heart was pounding loud and fast against my chest and adrenaline cour
There was this heavy feeling in my chest as drove through the drive way leading to our house. I hadn't been here since Alex travelled out. Most of my time have been spent with Mother or with Rain at my other house. But Alex returned today so I had to come back even if I didn't want to. Steppin
