“How could you do this to me?”

Her green eyes flash with pain.

“I didn’t mean to. I’m so sorry.”

“You’re sorry? I have a child, Elena. A child! You hid this from me, my family, hell, even your family,” I groan. “This is so fucked up. What the hell are we going to do?”

Elena takes a step toward me. “Roman, breathe.”

I look at her. “Don’t tell me what to do.”

I walk to my car, but she blocks my way.

“You can’t drive like that,” she says firmly.

“You’re fucking…”

“No. Turn around, Roman. Catch a taxi.” A muscle twitches in my jaw. But considering I have no interest in spending another second with her, I do as she says. My anger remains a restless burn under my skin, but it cools with every step I take away from her.

I call a cab and drive away. The last thing I see is Elena on the side of the road, hugging herself, a broken-hearted expression on her face as she watches me drive away.

I'm gone for two days. Elena doesn't try to contact me, giving me space, and I'm a little grateful for th

  • Secret Child For Ruthless Don   Meet With His Daughter Again

RomanElena opens the door almost immediately after I ring the bell.“Hi. You’re early,” she says in greeting. Her appearance momentarily takes me aback. Her hair is wet, beads of water falling on her body. The shirt she’s wearing clings to her skin, and I can’t take my eyes off her chest, especially her boobs, which are much bigger than I remember. My gaze falls on her legs, clad in denim shorts. I swallow quietly before looking at her face. She definitely caught me staring at her. But oddly enough, she doesn’t mention it.“Are you just going to stand there?” She steps away from the door and lets me into the apartment.“Where’s Kiara?” I ask, looking around.“She went to meet her friends,” Elena replies. “I know, I was surprised she had friends besides me,” she adds sadly. My lips twitch.“Not everyone is like you, unfortunately.” Her eyes sparkle when she looks at me.“Fair enough,” she states. “Cassie’s in her crib. Should I bring her in here, or will you be coming in to see her?“

  • Secret Child For Ruthless Don   My Son-In-Law

ElenaI turn to my father."Since when are you two close enough to watch a game together?""Because Ivan is going to be my son-in-law," my dad says casually.I blink, slowly putting the words together."Sorry, what?" I ask, confused. “You have another daughter I don’t know about?”To my extreme irritation, both men chuckle.“Of course not, my love. I told you I’d find you a husband, didn’t I? And over the last year, Ivan has proven himself to be just the man for the job.”With mounting horror, I turn to Ivan, who has a satisfied expression on his face. And just like that, my predicament gets even worse.***Roman.I wince as the door of my Audi slams shut. I didn’t mean to close it that hard. I look at the church I've been going to for as long as I can remember. I haven't been here in a long time, but my mother insisted on my coming today, saying it wasn't good for the head of the family to be away from God's presence for too long. What she really meant was that it was bad PR for us i

  • Secret Child For Ruthless Don    Paranoid And Overprotective Mafia Boss

“They’ll find out eventually, but I need to figure out the best course of action. They’ll be furious, and rightfully so. I need time. And a way to make it easier for them to access this information.”I sit down on the couch and sigh.“We’re screwed no matter what you do, Roman.”He grimaces. Roman likes the feeling of being in control of any situation. That’s something he can’t control.“I’ll handle it. Just make sure no one finds out about Cassie.”I nod once.“I’ll do it.”He looks back at my bedroom, and I can tell he wants to see it again. But he shakes his head, considering the thought.“I’ll assign one or two men to guard the building,” he tells me.My eyes widen. Almost immediately, I remember I'm dealing with a paranoid and overprotective mafia boss."That won't be necessary. Plus, what if they see Cassie when we take her for a walk?""They'll keep their mouths shut if they want to keep their lives," he says, a muscle twitching in his jaw.I blink."See, now we're going to hav

  • Secret Child For Ruthless Don   She Has My Eyes

“I didn’t do it because I didn’t think you’d be a great father to her,” I feel the need to clarify. He may act all cocky and self-assured, but at the end of the day, he has doubts just like anyone else. My mind flashes back to the day of his father’s funeral. He was so close to breaking down that night, afraid he wouldn’t be enough.“I didn’t hold her back because I didn’t believe in you. I held her back because you had a lot to decide, and as much as I wanted to tell you, I didn’t want to make your life harder in the process.”His eyes are a little tense as he looks at me. I wish I could tell him what he was thinking. Then Roman blinks, and his expression becomes wary.“I wish I could see her now,” he tells me.My heart swells.“Really?” he nods, and I quickly rise to my feet. “She’s in her crib in my bedroom.”I lead him to one of the oak doors and quietly open it. Stepping inside, I peer into the mahogany crib with a crescent moon painted on it. She’s still asleep. Very slowly, I r

  • Secret Child For Ruthless Don   How Can You Be Sure The Child Is Mine?

The next morning, when I wake up, there's only one thought running through my head.Fuck. I might have a baby. That's what prompts me to call Elena. She picks up on the second ring."We need to talk," I say.I swear, if I have to hear or say those four words one more time, it's been used more than I'd like in the last seventy-two hours.“Where?”“I'm not coming to the apartment. I'll meet you at the bar your brother took you to a few years ago.”I'm sure she remembers the place I'm talking about. However, she doesn't answer right away.“Okay. Judging by the place you've chosen, I'm guessing you're still not ready to meet her.”No need to ask which "she" she's talking about.“No. Just you.”“Okay. I'll see you at seven.”She hangs up, and I continue my day, dreading our meeting. I've had no problem getting into gunfights and stabbings, but talking to a woman about a baby is the only thing that really scares me. I get to the bar ten minutes early and sit down to wait for her. Luckily, E
