5 Additional Guidance

“Kaluna is here,” Estefan reported to Mrs Sita as if nothing had happened. “We can start the coaching, Mrs.”

Estefan deliberately stepped aside from the door to make way for Mrs Sita.

“Kaluna?” called Mrs Sita as she sat on a chair. “Starting today, you will receive special guidance from me and Mr Stefan.”

Kaluna received this information with an unremarkable face.

“I hope you welcome the intention of me and your homeroom teacher, Kaluna.” Mrs Sita continued. “You have a decent academic aptitude, so it would be wise for you to put it to good use.”

Kaluna just nodded his head without any enthusiasm. For her, it would be much better if the school decided to expel her immediately and there was no need to organise any guidance for her until this point.

Because for Kaluna, it was useless.

“Why are you gloomy?” Yohan commented when he saw Kaluna playing with her mobile phone in front of the class when she should have gone home during school hours. “After getting reprimanded again in the counselling room?”

Kaluna did not answer immediately and remained engrossed in her mobile phone.

“I see,” Kaluna said after making Yohan wait for a while. “The plan is to give me special coaching three times a week.”

Yohan burst out laughing.

“You’re worse than me,” the boy commented. “As ridiculous as it is, I didn’t get special coaching.”

Kaluna sneered.

“You’re not that important in this school, Yohan.” She put his mobile phone in her pocket. “I’m different, a valuable new student at Oasis High School.”

Yohan swore loudly.

“I don’t believe it,” He sneered back. “Maybe because you deliberately used your body to seduce Mr Stefan, hahaha!”

Kaluna glanced at Yohan with narrowed eyes.

“That’s all there is to your brain, isn’t it?” Kaluna half-snickered. Her mind briefly drifted to the young teacher who was her homeroom teacher.

“No need to be mad Lun, there’s no female student here who isn’t interested in Mr Stefan.” Yohan explained. “Your homeroom teacher is young, in fact he’s probably the youngest in the school. Yeah, although his looks are only slightly different from mine.”

It was Kaluna’s turn to swear.

“I’m sorry, I’m not interested in studying here any longer.” She sneered. “I’m already bored and want to change schools.”

Yohan looked at Kaluna with narrowed eyes.

“We’re in our final year,” Yohan reminded her. “We’ll be taking our graduation exams soon.”

“I can still take the exam online,” Kaluna argued in an unconcerned tone. “What is clear is that education is not the top priority in my life.”

Yohan was amazed at the words Kaluna said to him.

“Trust me, I guarantee your parents will cry at what you just said.” Oasis High School’s most wanted boy commented.

“I won’t be able to hear them if they’re crying behind their graves,” Kaluna said without looking at Yohan.

“So ... they’re dead?” asked Yohan, his face shocked once he knew about this fact.

Kaluna only answered with a nod of her head without any interest in sharing her burden with Yohan Dananjaya.

“Yohan, how come you look so familiar with Luna?” reprimanded Bayu, one of Yohan’s best friends. “Don’t forget, you just approached the girl from the next school ....”

“Since when have I ever been serious with a girl?” said Yohan as he folded his arms across his chest. “Luna is an exception, because she is the first girl who dared to go against me openly. “

Yohan glanced at the next class, where Kaluna was studying right now. While Bayu just snorted at Yohan’s playboy spirit that wandered to the next class.

***

Kaluna almost dozed off during Estefan’s maths lesson. In fact, almost none of the students dared to breathe excessively whenever the young teacher was teaching.

“Anything unclear?” asked Estefan who was explaining the material in front of the class. “If so, please open your book to page thirty. Work on the questions until the break bell rings.”

“Yes, Sir!” said the whole class except Kaluna who closed her eyes and rested her chin.

After giving orders to his students, Estefan sat back in his chair. He didn’t seem to realise that there was a student in his class who didn’t carry out his order to do the assignment.

And Estefan only realised it when one by one his students collected their books at the table.

“Since when did she sleep in my lesson?” Estefan asked Kaluna’s classmate Meira.

“Since earlier, Sir,” Meira replied with a grimace. “I didn’t dare wake her up, you know Luna doesn’t like to be disturbed.”

Estefan nodded in understanding, then he urged all his students to go eat in the canteen and leave Kaluna in the classroom with him.

When the classroom was quiet, Kaluna lowered her hand and blinked. The most beautiful face she had ever seen greeted her.

“Did you have a good nap, Kaluna?”

“Hm?”

Kaluna blinked her eyes a few times until he realised that Estefan was sitting in front of her desk with her chin propped up.

“Oh, Sir ... not teaching?” Kaluna asked in a low voice. Her head swayed back and forth to observe the quiet atmosphere of her classroom. “It’s already dismissal time, Sir?”

Estefan stood up from his chair before answering.

“You wash your face in the toilet right now,” Estefan ordered coldly. “Then meet me in the teacher’s office, quickly.”

Kaluna’s eyes opened wide when he heard Estefan’s order.

“Doesn’t the teacher want to have a snack in the canteen?” asked Kaluna as she stood up from her chair.

“Who’s the teacher here?” asked Estefan while giving Kaluna a sharp look. “Me or you?”

“You,” Kaluna replied with a grin and walked away from Estefan who was shaking his head at her behaviour.

Kaluna quickly washed her face in the girls’ toilet. Not because she was afraid of Estefan’s anger, but more because Kaluna felt very sleepy that day.

“Sit down,” Estefan ordered when Kaluna came to face him in the teacher’s office.

“Yes, Sir.” Kaluna replied without much protest.

“I really don’t like it when students underestimate my lessons,” said Estefan as he looked at Kaluna, whose face was half wet. “Do you often fall asleep like before?”

Kaluna shrugged her shoulders.

“I don’t remember, Sir.” Kaluna replied with an innocent face. “I often skip lessons if I don’t oversleep ....”

“And you say that as if what you did was a proud achievement?” Estefan cut in flatly.

Kaluna shook her head.

“Not really, Sir. It’s just a sleepy person.” She reasoned.

Estefan was even angrier at Kaluna’s lighthearted remark. Instead of apologising, the girl didn’t even feel guilty at all.

“Then I have good news for you,” Estefan said in a firm tone. “Your tutoring will be increased to five times a week with Mrs Sita.”

“But, Sir...” Kaluna frowned. “I haven’t finished tutoring three times a week, and you’re already increasing it to five times a week?”

“There’s no reason,” Estefan said firmly.
