~Helen's POV~

I knocked gently on the study door and waited until a faint "come in" filtered through. Slowly, I stepped inside.

Lisa stood before Mr. Hartley, her face unreadable—neither pleased nor upset. The neutrality in her expression only stirred my curiosity.

What’s going on?

I tried not to let my questions race too far ahead as I moved closer.

“You called for me, sir?” I asked, bowing my head slightly in respect.

As I straightened, my eyes drifted to the far end of the study—and there he was. Sebastian. Seated on the couch, arms folded, legs casually crossed. His gaze lifted to meet mine, and in that instant, something fluttered violently in my chest.

Butterflies.

God, the way his eyes lingered, like he was reading right through me—my spine tingled. I couldn't help remembering how he stood up for me earlier. How his voice silenced Mena like a switch had been flipped.

Maybe he hadn’t meant to ignore me earlier in the hallway. Maybe he was lost in thought after changing his suit.

  • Secret affair with the billionaire    In grief

~ Sebastian's POV ~My shattered heart pierced deeper with each passing second, each tick of the clock drilling into my soul like a curse I couldn’t undo. The silence around me isn’t peace…..it’s punishment. A cruel, swaying emptiness that echoed with everything I feared to lose.I kept my gaze locked on the emergency ward door, refusing to blink, refusing to breathe too deeply….as if doing either would make her disappear. My mind was a blur, thoughts crashing against each other like waves in a storm. Holding on to one hope… to see Helen. To see her open those beautiful eyes and call my name.Suddenly, the doors flung open, crashing my breath back into my lungs. And there she is…Her fragile form lay on a rolling bed as nurses rushed her towards the ICU. Machines beeped in urgent rhythm, wires tangled around her pale wrists, and the color that once lit her cheeks had completely vanished.I stood to my feet quicker than I ever thought possible, my legs moving before my mind could proce

  • Secret affair with the billionaire    Hopefully she dies

~ Mena's POV ~The rage I saw in Sebastian’s eyes was something else… something dark, untamed, and terrifying. It sent a chill down my spine, but I quickly masked it with a scoff. What was all the fuss about? She’s just a maid. A damn maid.Yet somehow, she has him wrapped around her little, trembling fingers like some pitiful damsel in distress. I don’t get it. What’s so special about her? Her tears? Her innocence? Please. That girl reeks of manipulation. She knows exactly what she’s doing. And still, the house was in chaos. Sebastian throwing punches like a madman, the police arriving in a whirlwind, and all because of her. Because some other lowlife from her pathetic class wanted a taste of her. That’s all it was. Just one of her kind trying to do what they all do…feed on scraps, take what's not theirs. Maybe he got tired of waiting for her to open her legs willingly and decided to help himself. What’s the big deal? And now she plays the victim. Of course she does. Now that she has

  • Secret affair with the billionaire    Poisoned

~ Sebastian's POV ~I drove back to the hospital, my heart more shattered than ever. The engine roared beneath me as the wheels spun over the road, but my mind wasn’t in the car. It was with her. With Helen. Her name echoed in my skull with every beat of my heart. The memory of her lying there, pale, broken… poisoned—was tearing me apart from the inside out.I needed to see her awake.I needed to see those eyes again….the beauty in them that made everything else disappear. The way they held me without touching, the way they softened the rage in my chest, the way they looked at me like I was more than this cruel world made me out to be.I spotted my parents as I approached the emergency room. They were seated side by side on those uncomfortable hospital chairs….rigid, cold, and colorless. But what gutted me was the look on their faces.Their expressions... It was like a mirror of my soul…drained, shaken, broken. My heart clenched harder.I quickened my pace, ignoring the pounding in my

The crimson stains the floor beneath her like a curse. My heart doesn’t just drop….it disintegrates.Damnit!I rushed beside her in an instant, falling to my knees, my hands shaking uncontrollably as I gather her into my arms. Her skin brushes against mine and I recoil…..it’s cold. So cold. Far too cold.My entire chest caves in.“Helen…” I whisper, my voice barely holding together. My panic spikes when she doesn’t respond, doesn’t flinch, doesn’t even breathe deep enough to move her chest.I lift her into my arms, holding her close, as if my warmth can somehow seep into her and pull her back. The hallway stretches before me like a battlefield, and I charge through it with

~ Helen's POV ~My vision blurred slowly, my heart pounding with rage, like I had participated in a marathon.I laid helplessly on the floor, my body failing me, too weak to flinch, too shattered to scream.Fist sounds filled the air sickening, repetitive, brutal. Each impact echoed like thunder. The cracks, the smacks, the dull thuds. Mali groaned with every hit, a sound so raw it made my skin crawl. It was relentless, merciless.“How dare you?” a familiar voice roared, the anger in it so fierce it tore through the room like lightning.Sebastian.The sound of his fury gave me a flicker of something….hope? All I had left was my hearing.“Helen!” another voice screamed, desperate and trembling. The voice sounded familiar, but my brain couldn’t place it. Everything was spinning. Names, faces, time, it all blurred. My stomach twisted continuously, like all the food in it was being dragged out
