Chapter 5: Furniture Shopping

Brielle's POV

I woke up earlier than yesterday so I can hang out longer in front of the BH Entertainment building.

I'm almost sure I won't be able to do this when I start working so I'm just doing it as much as I can now.

I took a shower, then I blow dried my hair and just let it down after styling it a little bit.

I put on the same amount of makeup that I did yesterday.

I wore a khaki long sleeved turtle neck knit top, an apricot padded coat paired with black flare-leg solid pants and my white filas. I brought everything I needed today so I can head straight to IKEA after.

I stopped by a different cafe for some coffee and walked my way to the BH building again.

Like the past days, I just stood there minding my own business. I took out my earphones and played some relaxing music but I was still very mindful of my surroundings, of course.

About 30 minutes of me just standing outside, a guy stood not too far away from me.

He looked like he was in his late 30s and with no offense intended, he looked a little shabby and gave off bad vibes so of course I was on my guard the whole time.

I wouldn't want to be the foreigner who got robbed in front of her favorite entertainment company's building.

I'm not one to judge from physical appearances but my instinct told me this wasn't it.

I saw him stealing glances from my peripheral vision and he had his hands in his pockets.

I noticed as he started inching once and twice towards me and I was ready the moment he'd do anything to me.

He was about to get even closer to me again and I was ready for the worst case scenario but then...

"Good morning" another guy greeted me.

He was wearing a black cap and mask so I couldn't see his face but I recognized his physique and vibe from yesterday.

"Oh! You!" I exclaimed and removed my earphones.

He chuckled.

I looked at him up and down.

He was now wearing a plaid coat above a what I think is a moss green top and a plaid scarf paired with brown pants and black shoes.

"You still remember me huh" he said chuckling.

I nodded then remembered the other guy beside us.

He was still there but he remained completely still.

In fear of getting this seemingly cute stranger of getting hurt by the other shabby stranger, I pulled the seemingly cute stranger closer to the BigHit building where there was a cctv.

Fortunately, the other shabby stranger didn't follow us.

I sighed in relief and looked at the guy in front of me.

Whoever he is, he must like popping out of nowhere.

Still, I bowed thankfully to him.

"I appreciate your presence" I told him. He looked at me and chuckled.

"You're---" he was about to say something but I cut him off.

"But please don't pop in like that. You could've been in serious danger. Are you okay?" I said a little guilty and worried now.

I made him turn to see if he was okay.

He laughed as I stopped checking up on him. What a guy.

"Why would I be in danger?" he asked sounding puzzled.

I sighed. He seems naive.

"You see, some strangers aren't as nice as you. Some are waiting for a chance to pounce at you any moment so please be careful" I told him.

He laughed at my statement.

"So you were aware of that man earlier?" he asked sounding amused.

I nodded.

"Of course I was" I said.

"But you were listening to music weren't you? You seemed pretty immersed too" he said. I nodded.

"Still, I'm aware of my surroundings and that guy seemed off from the moment I glanced at him" I explained.

He just looked at me. He must be stunned.

"You're really something" he stated.

I didn't quite know if that was a compliment or what.

"Thank you, I guess" I just said to be polite.

He chuckled at my response.

"You come here a lot, don't you?" he asked.

I looked at him for a moment.

"I'm not supposed to tell strangers where I come to often" I told him honestly.

He laughed and nodded.

"That's true. Good point" he said.

"It's just that I see you a lot infront of the building so I figured you come here often" he continued.

Then, I remembered he went inside the BH Entertainment building so he must be working here.

"If it's okay to ask, do you work for BH?" I asked carefully.

He looked at me for a moment and nodded.

"Lucky" I muttered with a sigh.

Oh to be working for the company that my idols and ideal man are working in.

"What makes you say that?" he asked.

I smiled slightly and thought of my favorite BH Entertainment artists.

"They have amazing artists and the staffs are so creative as well with making so many contents" I said proudly.

The guy just stared at me.

I couldn't tell what he was thinking.

"Really? Who's your favorite artist or band of ours?" he continued to ask.

I looked at him with a wide smile.

"I have a lot but my OG would definitely be Bullet" I said proudly.

He nodded.

"Do you...have like a favorite member os something?" he asked further. He seemed really interested.

"I love all of them very much but Theodore is someone I adore so much and I do not mean this in an obsessive way but he is my ideal man" I answered honestly.

For a moment I was really forgetting that I was talking to a complete stranger.

Atleast, he was a BH Entertainment employee though hihi

"Theodore? Why him of all people?" he asked more.

I smiled again and thought of Theodore.

"I don't know. It's just that when I see him, my heart flutters. His smile warms my heart. His laugh makes my day. I love everything about him from his best features and even to his perfectly imperfect flaws" I confessed with a smile.

He kept silent as he looked at me.

I tilted my head and gave him an innocent look.

I can barely see his eyes so I couldn't process how he'd look since he was totally covered up.

"Was that too cheesy?" I asked.

He shook his head and laughed.

"No, it wasn't. It was just that I haven't heard anyone talk about Theodore like that and...you looked really passionate talking about him. You must like him a lot" he said.

I immediately nodded.

"I do. I really do" I said. He just looked at me and then it came to me how we've been talking for a while but didn't even introduce ourselves to each other.

"Oh yeah uhm by the way, my name is Brielle and you are?" I said and offered my hands to shake. He accepted it.

"My name is---"

*creek

"Excuse me, sir but you're needed inside" a guy appeared from inside the building. We both looked at him and at each other.

"I think you need to go" I told him. He looked at me and at the guy calling for him and then back at me again.

"It's okay. You really should head inside now" I insisted.

He sighed and nodded.

"Okay. I'll be right inside in a moment" he said to the other guy.

I then realized we were still holding hands so I carefully pulled my hand away from him.

"It was really nice meeting you...Brielle. I guess, I'll see you some other time?" he said.

I just chuckled and nodded.

"I guess so" I said with a smile. He waved  goodbye before going in and I waved back at him.

I smiled when he was out of sight. What an interesting encounter.

I looked at the time and decided that I should head on to IKEA so I did. I took the train to get there and I arrived safely.

I looked into the different furnitures and took pics of my options.

I had my handy notes of the apartment's measurement so I picked out furnitures that were only right for the apartment.

I was also filming my experience with the furniture shopping and all.

I ended up buying a queen sized bed for my upstairs space. 2 sets of white beddings. An extra white blanket. 4 large white pillows. Pillow cases.

Then, I bought a beige three seater sofa bed for my living room. 4 cushions for the sofa. 2 more large white pillows and a white blanket to keep inside the sofa for when it will be used as a bed.

I also bought a white coffee table and a cute beige fluffy carpet for my living room, a cute comfy white swivel chair for my vanity area and a stool to reach the top cabinets.

On top of all that, I bought some plates, spoons, forks, cups, chopsticks, pans, knives and other utensils for the kitchen.

And lastly, I bought a few decorating items for the apartment to make it more cozy and stylish.

It was such a fun experience shopping even when I was alone.

I'm not really an introvert.

I'm actually quite an extrovert and I enjoy my friends' company but I didn't want to bother anyone with my personal matters since I also wanted to prove I can be independent while I'm here.

After my shopping spree, I went ahead to IKEA's cafeteria to have my brunch.

Normally, I wouldn't eat much but since I was always occupied with other things but since I'm free, I might as well.

I got my food and sat down in a perfect spot. I placed my tripod with camera as I continued to film myself. I  checked my phone and saw a twitter notification pop up.

Theodore tweeted. I smiled immediately.

'stay safe, everyone'

I quickly liked it and replied like the simp that I am.

'stay safe, bubby :3' I replied and started eating with a smile on my face.

I was feeling so enthusiastic as I ate.

Oh what a wonderful day it is to be alive.
