Tony Woods' POV

“Stop that man.

Don't let him get an inch close to the interrogation room.

He's going to do something crazy," Officer Patrick instructed his other officers.

Instantly, they stood before me and formed a shield to block my exit.

Soon, Patrick joined me as he panted heavily.

I gave him the run of his life that he would never forget rushing.

“What's the meaning of this madness, Patrick? Have you suddenly lost your manners?

Is this how you treat a man of my age?

Tell them to get the fuck out of my way before someone gets hurt," I demanded.

I used my age as an advantage to get past the officers, but I failed.

The officers in front of me were ruthless.

It was as though Patrick had cast a spell on them, that made them obey his command without grudges.

“This ain't got nothing to do with age

You brought this upon yourself.

If there's anyone that might end up hurt, it's you," Officer Patrick said to me. It was starting to sound like a threat to me.

I couldn't handle the rejection anymore, so I took out my phone to call Marcus, my lawyer.

I figured he'd be in the perfect position to grant my request.

Luckily, Marcus was already approaching me before the call even went through.

His presence gladdens me.

I could confirm that he may have read my thoughts and knew I was in trouble.

“What's going on here?

And why are these officers in front of you?" Marcus asked.

He stepped forward and stood next to me.

"Thank goodness you're here, Marcus. Officer Patrick won't let me inside the interrogation room.

Please imagine that he instructed these officers to stop me.” I lamented to Marcus while pointing towards the officers in front of me.

“What the fuck?”

Marcus screamed in shock.

He took off his sunshades and approached Patrick.

“How dare you deny my client his right?

You do realize the level of the case we are handling, don't you?" Marcus confronted Patrick.

He didn't even allow Patrick the breathing space to defend himself.

“I would rather not hear any more shit from you.

Order your men to get the fuck out of the way this minute,” Marcus commanded Patrick, right in the face of other cops.

“What if he does something stupid to Sean? That's what I am trying to avoid here," Patrick stressed out.

He took his time to explain everything that happened, including how Angela got away.

“That's more reason I want to speak with Sean. He might have a clue about Angela's next destination.

Remember that he's her accomplice,” I chimed in, even when no one asked me to speak.

I wasn't going to stand there for too long and watch Officer Patrick ruin everything with his incompetence.

“Did you just hear that?”

Marcus focused his glance on Patrick.

“You claim to be a cop, yet you don't know your job,” he mocked Patrick.

“Fine!

He can go, but I must come with him.

I need to supervise his every action.

How about that?” Patrick finally granted my request but with a condition.

“You could have said this before.

We have a deal,”

I forced them to accept the condition even though I wasn't satisfied with it.

As much as I wanted to be alone with Sean in the interrogation room, I still needed the presence of a trained official as a guide.

Patrick stood in front as we all marched to the interrogation room.

Patrick ensured that he was responsible for the whole process. He still didn't trust me enough to be left alone with Sean.

Sean was asleep when we arrived at the room. Everything about him infuriates me.

I had the urge to wake him up with a powerful punch, but I didn't.

I retreated after I recalled the vow I made to Patrick not to do anything stupid to Sean.

With a soft pat on the shoulder, Marcus woke Sean up.

The moment the son of a bitch saw us, fear invaded his mind and stole every bit of confidence left inside of him.

I could see his soul departing his body.

From the way he constantly stared at the ground like a lost hen, he wished to be engulfed by it.

“Surprised to see me?”

I made evil laughter to scare him

“Angela has escaped with her bastard son to God knows when all because of you,” I revealed in a soft tone even though inside of me was restless.

“Doesn't it bother you that she might have escaped with your son?” I added more information just to put words in Sean's mouth.

The plans are to put him in a situation where he becomes too terrified and starts admitting to crimes he never committed.

"Son? What son are you talking about?

I don't recall having a child with Angela,” Sean denied.

He looked around and made it seem like I wasn't talking to him.

That was one part that unleashed the beast inside of me that had been trapped for ages

I wasn't aware when I slammed the desk in frustration, “Don't fucking lie to me.

I conducted a DNA test, and it turns out that I'm the father of Kelly,"

“Holy fuck!

This is strange,"

Sean exclaimed.

He feigned a shock on his face as though he weren't aware

“Holy fuck, right?

That's the same shit I uttered when I found out," I groaned.

I got closer to Sean and bent to the ground.

Slowly, I said to him, “I promise to drop all charges against you if you can just tell the truth.

Where's Angela hiding? You're also Kelly's biological Father, aren't you?”

Just when I was close to getting the truth from Sean, Patrick pulled me away.

I was this close to starting a fight with him until I regained my sanity.

"You need to stop doing this.

It's my job, and not yours.

Let me handle it my way,” he demanded.

“Oh, then I guess I should consider this as an act of generosity, ain't it?”

I applauded Patrick. However, it came from a place of mockery.

"You might wanna watch your tone, Mr. Woods. Otherwise, I might need to walk you out,” he warned me.

“I'll be thrilled to see that happen.

Now come on, officer, give it your best shot,” I dared Patrick to fight without considering my age.

I was prepared to put an end to the madness.

I wanted everyone to know how incompetent an Officer he is.

Marcus got fed up with our altercation and decided to intercede.

He stood in the middle to form a bridge between me and Patrick.

“Now you both need to get your shit together and act like a man.

You ain't getting any result if you continue this way," he scolded us

“Well, I am cool.

I ain't got no problem.

If there's anyone who needs to act right, it's your client and no one else,"

Patrick interrupted Marcus while pushing all the blame on me.

"There you go again, Patrick.

Really? What the fuck happened to you? You weren't like this when we started.

What do you think your junior officers will say when they see you acting like this?” Marcus sparked outrage as he descended on Patrick like a criminal.

He shared the same observation about Patrick that has been on my lips for a very long time.

Patrick isn't the same guy that Marcus introduced me to the previous day.

His recent actions towards the case showed that Angela might have promised him a giant pay cheque if he aided her escape.

“I know where you can find Angela,”

A voice echoed in the room that got our attention.

We were forced to trace the voice and were led to Sean. We all stared at each other in the utmost confusion.

If I were the only one with Sean, I would have sworn that my eardrum might have been badly affected.

Are you starting to hear things that aren't real?” Patrick mocked me. He didn't think I was telling the truth. “Have you forgotten the reason we are here? Let's go inside quickly before she escapes,” he urged me, but I refused. I was resilient and focused on my instincts. “I might be old, but certainly not dumb or stupid. I knew what I heard. That was Kelly's voice,” I challenged Patrick.I didn't allow him to control my thoughts. I left the doorway and strolled around my mansion, trying to trace the voice I heard. “Papa, please come,”I heard the voice calling me for the second time. I traced the voice to the garage and saw Angela and Kelly seated inside the car. I tried to get closer to them, but she drove off. I didn't try to run after the car, knowing it would be pointless to do that. For the second consecut

How did this happen? Where are the fucking nurses?” The doctor screamed. He slammed the wall to demonstrate his rage. He was about to leave when I held him back. “Where the heck are you going?”“What the heck is this? Let go of me,” he requested.“I want to summon all the nurses to know who was on duty,” he explained.I was ruthless!I refused to let him go, knowing that he was the reason for Angela's escape. If he hadn't hesitated when I called for her arrest, Angela would be sleeping behind bars already.“Oh, come on, Tony. You know I have nothing to do with this. I was only trying to protect the image of my hospital,” he claimed. That was the lamest excuse I've ever heard. The excuse made me even more angry. I wasn't conscious of my act anymore.
