It was a hot day. The sun was so hot that I felt as if I was already in Hell, burning for being such a jerk. I lost my job for the fifth time and knew my twin brother was going to be furious.
He was the one who found this job for me. I had just worked for two months, and I was promoted to managing director. A good position for me, as my mom said, but my twin said I didn't even deserve to be anyone's secretary. Of course, all of them were just intimidated by my intelligence as well as my beauty.
“Damn… where is that jerk?” I muttered in frustration as I glanced at my gold Rolex watch around my wrist. An hour had passed. My twin was nowhere to be seen.
I was standing there like an orphan abandoned by her parents. The cars driving by had noisy people who kept staring at me as if I had a sign on my forehead that said 'For Sale.'
I didn't understand why I had no car… no, no, wait. I had a beautiful car I called Shawn, but my Shawn was taken away because I failed to pay for the alcohol I made people drink at the bar last night…. Damn it!
I didn't want to even think about last night; it was horrible. My best friend and I went to let loose and celebrate our single lives. Of course, it was one-sided; I was the only single dog. However, my bestie loved to suit the environment despite her being engaged to someone I thought was not right for her.
It was a beautiful night, and out of excitement, I shouted, “Drinks on me!” while dancing on the stripper pole, which I wanted to try out. People went crazy as they ordered all the expensive beers, which the owner of the bar thought I would pay for.
As much as it was funny, the storm was calm, and the bill was dropped on my table. My soul immediately left my body. I didn't have any money to pay for everything; hence, the man took my car, and that was how I ended up being without a car and hopeless.
After some time of shielding my face from all the stares I was getting from people, I spotted a black sports car driving at full speed. It stopped abruptly just before me.
I frowned, knowing the jerk was late. And yes, I forgot. My brother was like some hotshot: a perfect body, great blonde hair, and beautiful blue eyes, which I wished I had. But God blessed me with hazel eyes and brown hair, and, like some god, he was handsome.
With a killer smile, my brother stepped out of his sports car. Judging by his messy hair, which he always kept neat and shiny, I knew work was a pain in the neck at his office. His white shirt was half-tucked into his black trousers, and his black tie was loose as if he had been tugging at it repeatedly.
“Sammy… for goodness' sake… what’s all this?” Like I expected, my brother said as soon as he walked to me. But I wasn't concerned about his anger. I was so tired and thirsty and hungry that I could barely hear him as I shoved my bag in his arms, which he took unexpectedly and threw it in his car.
“I quit… that clown can’t handle me,” I spoke as I walked past my tall brother, who cursed as he grabbed my arm and pulled me back so I could face him.
“Sammy, again! Do you know the kind of trouble I went through to get this job for you? How can you do this again?” I could see that my twin was upset. He was the one supporting us.
I hated hunting for jobs and preferred staying at our parents' house and stuffing my face with food. People couldn't handle me and found faults when they were just jealous. Hence, I smiled and rested my hand on his shoulder.
“I’d rather be a babysitter and watch annoying children than be anyone's slave… now let’s go have something to eat… come on, Charlie, I’m starving,” I told him my thoughts and pouted when saying the last words. If he wanted to scold me, he'd better do it while I was eating; that way, I could hear him well, because whenever I was hungry, I heard nothing.
“That can’t happen… I have something important to do,” my brother said immediately he entered the car. I took the passenger's seat and played with the little penguin that was dangling in front of me.
“More important than your sister… your twin?” I asked, not believing he'd dare refuse me when I was hungry and his little sister, despite being the same age. My brother ignored my complaints and started driving the car.
“My boss died… the company is a mess, and you calling me… is giving me a headache,” he said, and I frowned, knowing my brother had the coolest job ever. He was the vice president at a well-known company owned by the Williams, and the man who was the CEO was hotter than the two sons of Jupiter. However, he had kids.
“You know I always knew you hated me. Tell me, why did you not find a job at that company? At least I could tolerate a hot man, but no… you chose a clown,” I remarked, not caring about his boss dying. I preferred not to involve myself in my brother’s affairs. And like I said something funny, my twin chuckled as he turned the car, and I frowned.
“You wouldn’t last a second… it’s a shame he’s no more… such a great boss he was,” my brother said, and I could sense a hint of sadness in his voice, his manly voice that women went crazy over. I rolled my eyes at his words and shifted my eyes out the window, admiring the beautiful City of London.
“My condolences for your loss,” I muttered after some time as I leaned back my head and closed my eyes. From now on, I would work on establishing my own business, but I hated working.
I knew my mom was already standing outside the door, waiting for me to explain why I was worthless. However, as soon as my brother dropped me off at our house, which wasn't big or anything—it was in a quiet, fancy neighborhood that was chosen by my parents—and as soon as I stood there with my luggage, I cursed under my breath as I watched Trisha Morgan busy talking on the phone. I knew she was busy telling her husband about my failures.
“Hi mom… bye mom,” I said quickly as I passed by with lightning speed, hoping to keep her off, but the woman already grabbed my bag and pulled me back, and I gasped at her sudden move.
“She just came back… she’s useless, and I’m sure she would have been better if you were here, but no, you left us and went to fight some war that isn’t even there!” My mom kept on yelling, and like I guessed, my poor dad was getting the end of it. And like an innocent child, I stayed there and listened to my mom point out my dad’s work in the army as worthless. I wasn’t offended because that was how Mom and Dad spoke to each other.
Jessy's breathing hyped up. Her body trembled with each kiss. Chase was now naked on top of her. Felt his flesh pressing against hers. She loved everything about Chase. His kisses. How he whispered sweet words to coax her"C-chase" Jessy murmured his name in between kisses. The fire in her body was inextinguishable. She wanted all of him.She had never been in such a situation before. The man always appeared refined and calm. She never thought he could be so naughty"Don't panic…I'm gonna take care of you"Chase murmured, assuring her. She was tense. That he saw. He didn't want her to feel scared. He was there for her"More…Chase" she moaned when he grabbed her breast, Jessy hissed biting her lip when Chase massaged her breasts lovingly. Pinching her aroused nipple between his fingersShe stirred and moved her limbs in a shaking stretch, and her eyes half-opened. "Hey relax sweetheart…" Chase coaxed and reconnoitred his body with an innocent abandon that seduced him utterly. Her lips
After a long day, Jessy and Chase came to the Williams mansion. Luckily, the nanny was with the twins… Jessy knew it was a responsibility Sammy left her with. “Madam… you don't have to worry… they ate…aged a little and fell asleep, “the nanny said, smiling. Jessy scanned the twins and nodded. They seemed fine and tired.“Okay…then I'll retire to my room,” she said and left the bedroom. After taking a shower when they got back. She decided to spend time with the twinsJessy walked down the passageway hesitant to go to her bedroom. She didn't know what to do. This turned out to be more difficult than she imagined “Madam…do you need anything?” the Nanny's voice startled her only to realize she was standing in the hallway, leaning against the wall with eyes closed“Y-yes… umm where is sir?” Jessy asked, hoping Chase had stopped his work and gone to sleep“Sir is still in the study room… Do you want to see him? “the nanny said and Jessy shook her head. “Get some sleep” saying that, Jess
"Aww, congratulations Chris…finally!"Jessy squealed, pulling Chris in for a hug. The newlywed was blushing left and right"Thank you, sweetheart" Chris had no words to express her happiness. All credit went to her father-in-law. This wasn't expected. Getting married to Charlie, however, now she was happy that finally, Charlie belonged to her"It's a shame Sammy wasn't here," Jessy said as both women walked outside the church. "Yeah…that bitch ditched me…oh well…it's worth it, "Chris said feeling happy. This was too good to be true. Looked at her finger. The fact that she was now Mrs Morgan. Married the most caring man that ever lived. Chris couldn't stop blushingAfter a long wedding ceremony. They finally tied the knot. Having to get congratulatory wishes from the guest was something she couldn't resist"So are you going for a honeymoon?"Jessy asked, wondering if Chris wanted to go for a honeymoon. Chris shook her head. Charlie was the one in charge of the company since Dave wasn't
When morning came and the Morgan household was busy making wedding preparations. Shocking news came knocking. The entire house had gathered in the small living room agitatedCharlie and Chris sat together wondering why David and Sammy did something so sickening. Scott was on the verge of having a heart attack if not for Trisha consoling him."That boy…such humiliation," Scott said, biting back anger. His voice was stern and cold. Nothing scared Charlie more than his angry father. Chris knew such times were to be handled cautiously. She solely saluted Dave for being man enough to stand up for his woman however he made a mistake because his father-in-law was fuming and calling some soldiers to go after him."Dad, can you relax okay…you clearly…well pushed Dave to his limits," Charlie said"You stepped on the young man's nerves honey" Trisha added and dropped on the couch. She was against Scott doing anything to Dave however he and his crazy ideas wouldn't be changed by anyone"If not f
“Please pass this information to Mr. Williams and make sure it's sighed,” Charlie said, handing a file to Audrey, the lady, was hesitant, looking at her boss she felt terrible. Charlie, on the other hand, had his eyes fixed on his computer.“Anything else?” Audrey said hesitantly, adjusting her specs she didn't know what to do“No,” Charlie said coldly and Audrey was even more agitated. She knew her boss was angry. For some reason, she wanted him to look at her, so she could apologize.“Sir… I…” Audrey said, fiddling with her fingers. Her host trembling as she tried forming words“Ms. Audrey…next time be mindful when coming to my house…” Charlie said, glancing up and shoving his laptop aside. Audrey nodded nervously.“I'm sorry, sir… I didn't mean to… I thought.”“You should stop it…my woman doesn't like it when other women drop at my place like that,” Charlie said before his secretary could give an excuse why she came to his house in the middle of the night as she did a few days ago.
“Boys, this is my world… I do most work efficiently… I built all this from scratch” Manuel said as he poured Chase and Benjamin some vodka. The men nodded as they sat listening to his story. It was the truth. Manuel wasn't born with a silver spoon, however he worked hard and built his empire from scratch“My dad used to fix cars…he was a mechanic, “Manuel said and sat down. Chase was inspired by the man. He was a perfect role model for young men. Other than that, Chase still didn't know why Manuel chose Benjamin to marry Jessy“Sir… I promise to do everything to make your daughter happy” Benji said with a smile which Chase frowned upon. This was a bad idea. When did all this happens“And you… I heard you are getting married” Manuel said, turning to chase. Lost in thoughts, Chase jerked back to his senses only to realize he was with the company. “Yes sir…the wedding is soon but not yet confirmed”Chase replied, nodding slightly. He wasn't concerned about his marriage. The only thing he
(Sammy's POV)I thought my brother cared about me or even loved me, but that was a lie, it was clear he wanted to humiliate me. I arrived at the damned building, which was obviously glorious, and they kept me waiting. As much as I felt ashamed stepping on its grounds as soon as I got out of the shabb
(Sammy's POV)I thought my night would be in my favor or better yet at last get some shut eyes; however, that wasn't the case when I kept on waking up in the middle of the night due to a horrible nightmare. I was dreaming of my new life as a wife, and I was in the kitchen cooking with white flour all
In the past, I always had this crazy fantasy of living in a ginormous castle, full of servants at my beck and call and well that was never the caseMy family was just an average family. We weren't rich or famous or owned luxurious cars like the different expensive cars I saw parked outside, but we we
(David's POV)I paced around my so-called office like a wounded animal. My mind was a mess as I thought about the possibility of the court giving my brother's hard-earned wealth to strangers just because I was found not eligible to take care of two boys who were only four years old. I mean, the twins
