AUTHOR'S POV
Scared. One word was enough to describe the fast thumping of her heart, the sweating of her palms, the negative thoughts swarming her mind and the ache in heart when she didn't find him beside herself, after waking up from the nightmare. She was scared, that he left her after sharing such a private and intimate time. She was scared, that her body was the only thing he had wanted from her.She was scared, that the feelings which she was thinking of as mild, were much stronger than she could ever imagine. How was it possible to feel so much for one person - a Dragon who she had met just eight days ago?But the tears that threatened to fall out of her eyes, when she searched the whole cabin and didn't find him, was enough of an answer. She had started thinking of him, as someone important.AUTHOR’S POV The next morning, Frore woke up as usual, curled up beside Vayldre who was still sleeping, his arm draped over her waist. After eating dinner in a grave silence, they both had silently fell asleep, their minds caught up with worries of their own. Now, Frore took time to memorise every inch of Vayldre’s face. She had a bad hunch about all this situation, but she couldn’t pinpoint what really was wrong here. As a result, she could just try to overcome the nauseating feeling.Heaving a heavy breath, she got up from the bed, leaving Vayldre sleeping on the bed.******After having breakfast in the same unbreakable silence, Frore stepped out of the cabin followed by Vayldre who was having a hard time taking his eyes off Frore.“ Where is this cave and how are we supposed to get there? ” Frore realized she didn’t know about the journey ahead so she finally decided to ask Vay
AUTHOR’S POVVayldre returned after three whole days.Just as he returned to the cabin, he got hold of Frore who was making dinner in the kitchen. For three days, he had been busy with Master Dagat who was looking into his books, wanting to find out about the spirit Frore was talking about.A spirit in a cave, that was something unheard off, but as Master Dagat looked through the old books, he found something extraordinary. The cave Frore saw in her dream must be the cave from where the Magic stone was taken and the spirit must be connected to the magic stone in some way for Duncan Albertine to be giving that stone to the spirit like it didn’t mean anything important. There was only one way to find out the rest of the answers and the magic stone though. Vayldre had to take Frore to the cave.“ We have to
AUTHOR’S POVThis time, Frore woke up drenched in sweat, but she didn’t scream out loud. She was simply terrified, horrified. The spirit saw her and told her that she was waiting for her. It felt like the spirit knew her.The spirit’s powers…Frore sat up in the bed and looked beside herself.Vayldre was not there. She sighed and rubbed her temples. The spirits powers were the same as Frore’s, the power of freezing everything, turning everything into ice, making the surroundings harsh cold. What more was there? Frore wondered. For the first time since last night, she thought that there was perhaps more to her powers than she knew. Probably, Vayldre didn’t know everything.Anyway, she now knew where the magic stone was and if bringing that stone back to the Dragons meant a chance at restoring peace in this world, Frore was ready to take this risk.Determined to do something go
AUTHOR’S POV“ There is a way. ” Vayldre smiled.Frore broke out of her trance and focused on Vayldre. There was a way, Frore felt relieved.“ If we get the magic stone back to its original spot, the peace will be restored. ” Vayldre breathed deeply and revealed to Frore.Frore’s shoulders slumped down at his answer. “ And where is this Magic stone and who can touch it now? I mean you said only Vilas and that woman could touch it then…”Frore was confused about all of this.Vayldre shook his head and grabbed her soft cold hands in his. “ The woman was Eirlys Albertine, Frore and you told me that you always have dreams about her. Perhaps, her spirit is trying to tell you something. If you listen to her, she might answer all your questions because I don’t know everything. ”The rawness of Vayl
AUTHOR’S POVFor a moment, Vayldre was shocked and dumbfounded. She loved him and she just confessed - it happened faster than he ever thought it was going to happen. Her lips were on his again, fiercely this time. It was like she wanted to devour him, become one with him without caring about what he wanted anymore.A pang of hurt shot through his heart which made him feel cold for the first time in his life.He grabbed the side of her face and using all his will power, he detached her lips from his own.He had done what he needed to do, there was no need to drag it further.“ Frore. What’s wrong? ” Seeing her sore expressions and teary eyes, Vayldre changed the topic instead of acknowledging her confession.Frore snapped out of her dreadful trance and realised what she did just now. She confessed to him and he didn’t say anything about it.
AUTHOR'S POVFrore was back in the old times again. These were not her memories, her moments, her life. She was seeing life from someone else's eyes.Right now, she had been seeing a scene which she couldn't understand at all.Two men dressed in royal battle armor were standing in front of each other. They were grinning as they came close and hugged each other.“ I did it. ” One of them told the other in the darkness of the night and the second one pulled away, causing Frore's breath to hitch in her throat. One of them was Lovis Albertine. Frore remembered him from the time she had seen him passing the village, as he burned everything in his way.The ruthless man looked too young here and the other man who was telling him that he was successful in something was quite similar in looks. What was happening? Frore once again failed to understand anything.“ Father will be proud of you, Brot
