Sinister Moves

Struggling over to Liam, I pull him.

“Can you get free, Liam?” Looking at him, he doesn't move, so I am guessing not.

“No, I have been trying all weekend. She put something in my drink, she brought me here. I remember her saying something about Jackson being hurt. I woke up chained like this.” Looking around, I can't see anything; I can't find anything to use.

“Get out, Alena, Get out now! It's you who she wants to hurt, so run.” His fingers rub against my cheek gently. I know he is right, I could see that she won’t hurt him. She doesn't want to hurt Jackson and hurting Liam would. Struggling to my feet, I stumble forward, my legs trying to carry the dead weight of my body. My whole body is hurting.

I won't make it. I know I won't. The front is too far away. Struggling forward, I keep going. I can make it. I need to make it.
