Waking, Jackson isn't next to me. I am guessing it is still daytime. Slowly I climb out of bed, ignoring the pain. Walking downstairs, I finally reach the bottom. Stopping to catch my breath. I can hear Jackson. “How can they believe it was not an accident? So what happens now? Is she being released?” He sounds angry, pausing to listen to whatever is being said. “Well, I guess that will have to do. I have told Alena she can't hurt her, so you need to make sure she stays there. Katy wasn't an accident, not at all. The speed; the fact she headed for that wall. I don't care what she says. Is what she did with Liam and Alena enough to keep her there?” I feel awful sitting here, listening, especially when it is about Katy. I should move. Walking down the next step, I try to make noise, so he knows I am walking down the stairs. “Okay, that will do, thank you, and keep me updated.” He hangs up the phone, turning to me, smiling. “Just in time, food is almost ready, and Georgina is on her
The past weeks were scary. Me unable to force myself to feel how I used to, but all my mind and heart wanted was reassuring. Today proved that, I'm glad he opened up about his feelings, his arms stay wrapped around me.“Jack, where are you?” We both look up at the sound of Liam's voice.“Come on, Liam, you know exactly where he is.” Georgina's loudmouth is travelling up the stairs.“I guess it's time for us to move.” Jackson bends down, kissing my lips.“Hey, wait a minute, so does everyone call you Jack, or what?” I am curious.“No, Liam does. He knows I hate the name Jack. It was my Dad's name. I would rather people call me Jackson.” He slides off the bed, handing me my clothes. We get dressed and walk downstairs together, smiling like nothing has happened.Georgina smiles at me, clearly seeing things are back to how they were.“Did you forget Jack, or were you just hoping that I would?” Liam is staring at Jackson, waiting for an answer. Jackson looks so confused.“Well?” He looks t
“You both realise this is the first birthday I will have spent with him? It is always ‘I’m out with the team’ when I ask.” Liam sulks.I laugh slightly, no doubt because Liam is a fool. I have yet to meet any of Jackson’s friends, but I can only imagine they are more grown-up than Liam. We don’t say anything, all of us standing quietly. A couple of seconds later, Jackson emerges.“Sorted, there is a table being reserved for us. We will wait for Roxy and then set off. Liam and Georgina, you go together. Me, Alena and Roxy will go together. How is Roxy getting here?” He looks at me.“Fine with me, Jack.” Liam grins. Jackson glares at him.“Enough, Liam or your arse will be sitting outside on the steps.” Liam nods.“Sorry, Jackson.” I look at Jackson, deciding now to answer me.“Taxi, apparently.” He merely nods, smiling.“Right, no going upstairs, at all. I don’t care what you are doing; you do not step a foot upstairs. Okay?” Jackson stares at Liam, waiting. Liam nods, still smiling.“
He stops, his eyes staring into mine, his arms grabbing me, pulling my body to his, kissing me passionately, a demanding kiss. I love it.“What do you want, Alena? What do you want from me? What do you expect from me?” His eyes are looking deep into mine, sending me into overdrive. Why is he asking what I want and expect from him? I want to be happy with him and for him to be happy with me. Simple.“I want you, Jackson. I want you to feel safe like I do. I do want more, yes, but I don't want you to move on.” I don't even know if that makes sense to me, let alone him. I just don't feel comfortable saying that I would like to sleep with Roxy again.“Alena, if you want more, and Roxy is your more, you can have it. I am not someone to stop you from having something you want. You need to realise Alena, I am not someone who will restrict you to only one, and only things I want and enjoy. Now can you explain what you mean by me moving on?” His lips push against mine, his body pushing me back
Waking up, I open my eyes, Jackson, lying next to me with his eyes closed. Turning, I look at him. I can't help but wonder how I managed to get him. He was in Georgina's league, not mine, yet he chose me. I think back to Jessica or rather Caroline, and how similar we are.He clearly has a thing for redheads, that's for sure. Slowly I move, sliding out of bed. I head out into the hall and grab myself some food before sitting at one of the tables and eating. The place is quiet. After I finish eating, I walk back into Jackson’s room. Jackson is still asleep on the bed. Smiling, I walk towards the bed, climbing onto it, I move so that my legs are on either side of him. Leaning down, I kiss his lips softly, beckoning him to wake up.His eyes open as he looks at me. I begin to move, my kisses running down his neck. I need him again. My lips trail down to his chest, kissing his torso as I keep going. I want to see the real Jackson. I can see he is holding back, yet part of me craves that par
She sits down on the bed and looks at me.“I'm interrupting something, aren't I? I just came to see, well, it doesn't matter, it can wait.” She moves, getting ready to walk out. Taking the plunge, I stop her. I need to stop hiding myself.“No, you're not. Why don't you stay and join us?” What am I doing? She is looking at me and then at Jackson. Jackson looks like he isn't sure what to do now. I don't know either, but I know I am hot, ravenous, and I want more.Pulling her to me, I start to kiss her. Her body goes into shock, then her lips begin to kiss me back. She begins climbing onto the bed, her legs straddling me, her hands pulling my shirt off. I can see Jackson out of the corner of my eye, ready to leave. He clearly thinks he isn't invited.“Don't leave, come here.”My words rushed. Her lips start kissing down my neck. Jackson looks at her. He clearly won't without her approval. I can’t help but smile, at the fact he is so cautious about even being in the room with us without he
“I will be right down.” I look at him, wondering what is happening.“Liam is trying to get upstairs. We need to get dressed and go down.” All three of us begin moving and getting dressed before we walk downstairs. Sure enough, Liam is being held back by two men.“Seriously, you can't trust me to walk to your room?” He looks rather frustrated that he can’t get upstairs. Why is he even trying to anyway?“Look, Liam, if you want to use the services here, you can, but you'll have to book in and follow the rules like everyone else. Plus, pass all the checks.” Jackson looks towards the receptionist.“What, like she does? So, it's okay to bend the rules for her?” Liam is clearly not happy, his finger pointing at me. Why has he now gone back to hating me?“Liam, she is my partner, so yes, she can use this building just like me. It is my business; she is my partner, so it is just as much hers.” Jackson says it softly, trying not to cause more trouble as guests are watching. My eyes stare at hi
Looking at him, I am in awe. I cannot cook, not at all.“I never see you cooking. Why?” He looks at me while mixing the food.“I can't cook. We live on takeaways, restaurants and well, ready meals.” I can't help but laugh at it - me, Georgina and Liam cannot cook, yet here is Jackson, like a chef. How is that even possible? His eyes look up at me. He looks shocked.“Seriously?” Yes, he certainly is in shock.“Really, none of us can cook, so we just got used to eating what others cook and deliver.” It really isn't a big deal, yet he looks astounded by the thought. I can cook, just it always gets burnt. That is one thing Max hated. I would be so worried he wouldn’t be happy that I would mess up.“You can't live like that, seriously. At some point, you will need to learn to cook. You can't exactly be healthy eating that junk.” He begins opening cupboards, serving up the food. He puts it on the plates, carrying them to the table. Sitting, we eat, his eyes on me the whole time. I can sense
