I shifted on the bed and stretched, my mouth wide open in a yawn as sunlight brushed my face.

Wait, bed?

My eyes snapped open, and I blinked as I came to be, taking in the room around me. How did I manage to find myself in our room on my bed?

The last I remembered, I was with Sera, and we had been talking and having fun. But that was all; the rest was like a blank slate, and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t remember it.

I heard footsteps coming towards me, and my eyes snapped to my mate, walking out from the bathroom all wet and enticing with only a piece of towel hanging dangerously low on his hips.

“Micah!” I exclaimed, unsure if it was from shock or excitement. I scampered from the bed, eager to get to him, and as soon as my legs touched the floor, they crumpled under me like the limbs of a two-year-old trying to support a bodybuilder.

What the hell?

“What happened to you yesterday?” Micah demanded, folding his arm across his chest. His muscles flexed as he talked, distractin

  • Seeking the Love of an Alpha   Chapter 102

I woke up to a warm body beside me, the heat radiating from it enough for me to want to cuddle back to him, yet something was wrong.Maybe it was the too-bright sun streaming from his window and the noise all around me, like whatever veil that had been muffling it had been lifted.Yet I ignored it, choosing to move closer to him.Rowan.A smile was quick to come to my lips as I thought of him. Last night had been wonderful. He had fucked me so good that my legs had turned to jelly, and I was a screaming mess unable to hold back.I wasn’t sure when we finally finished because he was insatiable, and so was I. We gave ourselves minutes to recuperate before we were back at each other, fucking so hard the bed squeaked.I could only pray he didn’t have thin walls, or else his neighbors would have heard of our amorous congress. My fingers reached for him, slowly tracing them all over his body, loving the way he reacted, and I couldn’t help myself anymore. My eyes fluttered open, still in tha

  • Seeking the Love of an Alpha   Chapter 101

My eyes widened as I felt the soft press of his lips on mine, my heart racing. Yet against my will, my lips began to move against it.The kiss was soft, sweet, and so tender that it was melting the ice that my heart had been so encased in, and there was no way I would resist it anymore.I kissed him as he was doing, our lips melding together in a sweet joining that had my heart soaring, and I couldn’t help it. My hands flew to wrap around his neck, needing something to anchor me before I lost myself completely to this feeling.Maybe it was the alcohol I had drunk, the electric atmosphere, or just the man himself, but something was drawing me towards him.Rowan’s lips darted out, licking my lips shyly, and against my will, a little moan of pleasure escaped my lips. But who was I kidding? The moment he had kissed me, he had hijacked all of my will. The sound was enough to draw us out of the spell we had been under, and thank the goddess it had, as everyone around us had finished up with

“We are here.” Rowan announced over the soft noise of the music from the radio, and I tried to look at the ‘here’ through the window. It was a tall white building, its many floors impossible to count from inside the car, but from what little I could see, it was beautiful.Rowan opened his door and came out, coming to mine, and he opened it, helping me out. My breath hitched, not from the sparks or electricity running through us, but from a familiarity that felt dangerously inviting, and I took another deep breath.Goddess, help me.He gave his keys to the valet, and we entered the building, straight to an elevator.I stood rigid as the elevator began to move, my heart racing so loud I could hear it. Despite that I was a wolf, I had a phobia of heights, and it was even worse that I was in an enclosed metal contraption that was going as fast as it could, yet there seemed to be no end.“Are you alright?” Rowan’s voice broke through the daze, and I stared at him with wide eyes.“Hmm?” My

Somehow, the month had flown by in a flurry of activities, most of them far too loud for me, but I endured it for the extra cash. The overly bright decoration, annoying music about a fucking sleigh, and even annoying humans scattered about in red, white, and green clothes were too much, but I had passed through the hurdle. And overall, it had been a great month, with a lot of tips, and right now I was standing in front of my wardrobe, not that it could be called so. The dark brown construction was already falling apart, the door barely closed, and it only contained a few of my clothes. My eyes scanned what little I had, trying to find a suitable outfit that would fit the party. I mean, what do humans even wear when they go to parties?I wouldn’t want to stand out too much, especially with so many of them there, and I wanted to enjoy myself without worrying about what I had on.An annoyed sigh left my lips, and I padded to my bed, reaching for my phone that was lying in the middle, and

I froze as I felt the foreign sensation on my lips. It was warm and inviting, but when the soft press of his lips on mine finally registered, my hands came between us, and I pushed him off gently.“You can’t do that.” I croaked out in a voice that betrayed what I was feeling. But what exactly was I feeling? However, Rowan's voice broke the daze before I could contemplate it too much. “I am sorry; I was carried away.” He apologized, but there was a mischievous glint in his eyes that may as well have said he was not at all sorry, and I wasn’t sure what to feel.“Y-yea.” I croaked, but I cleared my throat, blinking as if to clear the coating of redness that had spread on my cheeks, and I waved it aside. “It is alright; let us just go.”We walked side by side, the silence thick enough for a knife to slice through, but I was too in my head to care about it. Why the hell would he kiss me? The thought kept running through my head, yet no answers were forthcoming, and I blew a breath of frus

  • Seeking the Love of an Alpha   Chapter 97

I was excited, oddly enough. It was weird that I was going out with someone I barely knew a week ago, and it was even weirder that I had never stepped out of the regular cycle of work and home.Yet here I was excited to go on a date with a man. Okay, it wasn’t a date; we were only going to get a phone together, and it was enough for me to shiver in my boots.By 3pm, I was ready, dressed in one of my new acquisitions: black jeans with thigh-high boots, a wine sleeveless top, and a woolen sweater. Nothing too much, but not so bad that I end up looking like a slob. I ran a tube of red lipstick on my lips, took one look at it in the hand mirror I had, and swiped my palm at it.I shouldn’t be doing too much; after all, it wasn’t a date. We were just going to get a phone for myself.Right on cue, a knock sounded on my door, causing my heart to skip a beat despite itself, and I held a palm to the treacherous organ, willing it to be still.I rose, picking up the small mirror I kept on the be
