Rosa's POV

Immediately he asked that question, my fingers trembled. My eyes glanced at Grandma Hanns. The question, “who is my mum?” Rang again like a bell in my ears.

Grandma Hanns cleared her throat as she tugged the edge of her apron, staring at me as her grip tightened. He kept looking at Grandma Hanns. Suddenly he turned towards me. His face squeezed and he wasn't foolish I guessed.

My chest trembled and my feet ached as the reply Grandma Hanns said to him, "She is a superb friend." Echoed.

My jaw tightened, his eyes browned as he looked at me. David's jaw tensed, his muscles on his cheek clasped. He is not lacking anything as a child. Now I see he needs his parents around him. He is just a little boy with wisdom. David's brows pulled together in a deeper furrow. I'm scared of whom he will turn out to be. He is bold, too bold.
