It's been a stressful week with all the leg work he needed to do for the smooth assimilation of the new company he just acquired for his father. Adriana grew nervous as the phone began to ring, her heart sped up, racing in her chest while her hands grew a little cold. She didn't know why she was nervous, but she was. A weak embarrassing smile appeared on her lips as she continued to listen to the phone ring without being picked up. As she was about to give up, the click sound of the call being picked up filtered through the phone.
