Ethan Silvermoon is the second son of Alpha Raymond Silvermoon alpha of the spirit mountain pack in Nevada. For generations the spirit mountain pack has put their main focus on being the strongest pack in the country. It has become tradition that the alpha rules with an iron fist. Frequent and grueling training sessions were required for all packs members starting at age 5. The training started out easy focusing on defensive and conditioning techniques. The training would steadily become more difficult with each passing year. On top of everything else only behavior that the alpha deemed acceptable was allowed, there was no drama allowed and anyone who made a scene or did anything the alpha saw as embarrassing was punished severely. At times Ethan felt like his father saw life as all business all the time and fun wasn't allowed.
Ethan never agreed with that perspective; he enjoyed playing games and simply being a kid. He played pranks and acted reckless which didn't sit well with his father. Though his father never scolded or punished him directly. He always sent his beta to deal with his son which caused Ethan to feel even less important to his father. This caused Ethan to act out even more making it so his father had to come with more creative punishments.
Being the second son meant that his father never made time for him nor did he make an effort to know anything about Ethan's life and interests. Since Ethan wasn't going to be taking the title so his father saw him as less important.
Even though his father saw him as less than he still wanted him to participate in alpha training. His reasoning was that if Ethan's brother were to be killed or was severely injured in battle Ethan could take over and run things either until his brother healed or his brother's heir came of age. Ethan was basically a stand in should anything happen.
Ethan wasn't having any of it. His father treated him like he was nothing, just a replacement in case he lost his precious first born son. Ethan spent his life rebelling in every way he could think of. He was met with extra training sessions each harsher than the last and all were administered by his father's beta. Ethan saw more of his father's beta than he did his father.. Ethan's father has even gone as far as to throw his own son in the dungeon for days at a time to remove his rebellious nature. It never worked. His father went as far as forbidding Ethan to eat meals with his family, his father hardly wanted to be in the same room as him.
Ethan always managed to hold onto his light-hearted, kind, witty and playful nature and continued to forge his own path far from his father's.
Wanting to punish his son Raymond decided to send his son away to the new moon academy. There he hopes his son would learn discipline and obedience through
exile.
The soft glow of her phone illuminated Charlie's face as she settled into her cozy corner of her dorm room. The walls were adorned with sketches and paintings, remnants of her artistic spirit that wasn't simply about expressing her pain. She took a deep breath preparing for her first weekly check in with her family, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness as she tapped the FaceTime icon. The screen flickered to life, revealing her mom, Jessica, sitting in their living room back home. The familiar warmth of her mother's smile instantly eased Charlie's tension. "Hey, sweetheart!" Jessica beamed, her hair cascading over her shoulders like a waterfall of sunlight. "How was your first week?"Charlie couldn't help but grin. "It was amazing, Mom! The first day was terrifying and I was a nervous wreck but I met some really great people. Maya was my tour guide and she really helped me. Ethan, and Liam are also some new friends I made!" Jessica's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "Tell me ab
The sun hung low in the sky, casting a warm golden hue over New Moon Academy. Near the end of her first week of school Charlie navigated the bustling hallways like a seasoned pro. The initial shock of her first day had faded, replaced by a slight sense of monotony and a cautious optimism. She had found relief when she found a friendly face in her tour guide Maya, the two quickly became friends. Maya was bubbly and outgoing, she smiled, waved and said hello to everyone that made eye contact with her. Which was a stark contrast to Charlie's usual shy and withdrawn behavior. Though since the two became friends Maya has brought out the best in Charlie making it so she could feel her protective shell start to crack a little more each day. The two bonded strongly over their love for art and it made Charlie able to express herself outside of her art and share with her friend that she hadn't been able to before.Charlie made her way to her locker as quickly as possible. She needed to deposi

Charlie stands at the entrance, nervously clutching her sketchbook, looking at the ground debating if this is actually a good idea or not. I'm a moment of bravery. Charlie lifts her head and looks into the room. As soon as she does she spots her new friend Maya. Maya had been glancing at the door hoping and waiting for Charlie to show up. As soon as the girls make eye contact Maya’s face lights up with the biggest smile as she eagerly waves Charlie over.Maya:(grinning) “Charlie! You made it! Come on, let’s get you signed up. The sun hung high in the sky, casting a soft, golden hue over the sprawling grounds of New Moon Academy. The castle-like estate loomed majestically, its turrets piercing the clouds, while ivy clung to the stone walls like a protective embrace. Charlie Hale stood at the entrance, her heart racing with a mix of excitement and trepidation. Today marked a new beginning, a chance to leave behind the shadows of her past. With a deep breath, she adjusted the strap of her messenger bag, feeling the weight of her notebooks and the sketchbook she always carried. Art had been her refuge, a way to express the emotions she often struggled to articulate. As she stepped through the grand archway, the scent of aged wood and polished stone enveloped her, mingling with the faint aroma of something sweet wafting from the nearby courtyard.Inside, the hallways were bustling with students—vampires with their pale skin and sharp features, werewolves with their confident strides, and witches adorned in flow

Charlie, their 15-year-old daughter, sits on the floor, her back against the couch, arms wrapped tightly around her legs with her chin on her knees staring blankly at the wall. Aaron, her 12-year-old brother, is quietly assembling the Lego set he got for his birthday, glancing at his sister occasionally.Jessica: (softly) “Charlie, honey, can we talk about the academy again?”Charlie shifts slightly but doesn’t respond. Liam Nightshade as a vampire he is naturally dark, mysterious and brooding. Even still he is also closed off and secretive from years of being an outcast among his people. Vampires have changed a lot over the last century. They no longer have to go out in the night and hunt humans to feed themselves nor do they have to keep humans locked away in their dwellings as a prolonged food source. Now vampires, though still hiding from the public eye, have a deal with most of the local blood banks. A small portion of all blood donations each month are given to the vampire seethe they have a contract with. Most seethes also have a deal with local hospitals where anyone who dies of natural causes has a portion of their blood donated to the local seethe. There have also been great strides in the development of synthetic blood. While synthetic blood is a good substitute between feedings it can only prolong the blood lust for so long before the vampire needs the real deal. Liam is not a fan of huma
