Charlie Hale was an adventurous, outgoing and strong willed young girl. She was raised by loving parents Jessica and Jacobi along with her younger brother Aaron. Charlie and her family are all werewolves and lived in relative peace. That was until the summer Charlie turned 10 she was starting warrior training with her mom. Jessica wasn't in any way trying to make her daughter into a warrior; she simply wanted her to be able to defend herself. As much as Charlie's grandmother protested suggesting that Charlie should put running around with her friends doing things normal preteens do and not being traing until she turned 15 per pack regulations. But Jessica isn't from this pack, in her birth pack wolves start traing at 10 years old and Charlie was her daughter so she decided whether when Charlie's training began. Because of the pack regulations Jessica had to train Charlie herself which wasn't a problem with her.

One normal morning during breakfast, the family was enjoying each other's company and discussing plans for the day the sirens sounded. They were the sirens that signaled the territory was under attack. Jessica gave Charlie instructions to get herself and her 7 year old brother to the nearest bunker where they would be safe.

Before even taking one step she saw her mother get attacked by a rogue then proceeded to run through a battlefield while holding tightly onto her screaming and crying brother until he tripped and refused to get up terrified and wanting their mom. After convincing him to let her piggyback him they came face to face with a rogue.

Trying to rely on the fairly new training she received she does her best to get them out of danger. Before she enact her plan her dad in wolf form came out of nowhere and took out the rogue and ushered his kids to safety.

Now 5 years later Charlie is still haunted by that day. She completely avoids the part of the woods she had to run through that day since it causes such strong flashbacks. She has a hard time at school since there is a group that tries to bully her. They find ways to bring up the attack and encourage others to bring it up and ask questions.

Charlie has become withdrawn and skittish. She lashes out when cornered and can't concentrate in school or at home. She struggles to express her thoughts and feelings so she turned to art. Her drawings, paintings and sketches allow her inner demons to come out. It's allowed her parents to know what's going on in her head.

Jessica was able to sympathize with her daughter after having her own struggles with PTSD. She was able to heal after meeting her husband and facing her own demon.

Because of this Jessica was adamant on finding anything that would help her daughter heal, no matter how strange or out there if it worked it worked. It didn't matter how much it cost or if it meant she had to be separated from Charlie for a while she would do anything.
