Chapter 4

Back at Crystal Moon pack:

Ji'lahni, Shawna, Mina, and Lynn:

Conference room:

Everyone sat in the conference room looking at this little girl who sat with her head held high in defiance. Montego sat next to alpha Makahi he was all business. “So Monteza, you came here looking for my Beta Montego, but you haven't told us why yet. Why didn't you come here or contact Montego, before you broke into my pack. You are well aware of the laws about entering a pack without permission.” Makahi said looking at the girl. “Yes, I know the laws, if I had the time to do things properly, I would have. My mother has been taken, but the alpha of my pack refuses to go and rescue her even though she was his third in command. He wanted to declare her dead, but me and my grandmother refuse to believe she's dead, we would have felt something is she was killed.

When I was going through my mother's things I found pictures of her with a man. She always told me that my father, went away to fight a war and never returned to us. That wasn't the truth, I found out that my father wasn't dead, nor did he leave to fight a war. It was all a lie, my grandmother told me that my father left my mother while she was pregnant and he never returned. She told me he was young and wanted to train to become beta of his pack. My mother didn't want to stop him, because she didn't want to be the reason he couldn't live his dreams. He had promised he would come back for her but he never did, she found out later that he became beta of the Crystal Moon pack. What my grandmother told me was that they were very young, but were sure that they were mates, which is why they did something that they weren’t supposed to do which was mark each other. They weren't yet old enough to find their mates but they mated and marked each other and that was when I was conceived.” The little girl said, and everyone's mouth fell open.

“What. IN. The. Entire. Fuck. Did. She. Just. Say.” Shawna said breathlessly. They all looked over at Lynn who was staring at Montego with a blank expression on her face. Even Alpha Makahi was speechless, he had never heard of such a thing happening. Why would his beta do something without knowing what would happen once he became of age. “Care to explain yourself Beta Montego?” Makahi asked needing to understand what the hell happened back then. “After my father died and my mother became a rogue, I went through a very dark time. Me and my brothers were all young we didn't have any idea what would happen to us. Dyelon was still young and under pressure to take over the pack as the alpha and I was to take up the role of Beta. We were all just children, who were grieving the loss of our parents. Years later it still felt like our parents had just died, the pressure got worse as we became teenagers.

While others were enjoying life, me and my brothers were being trained and groomed, to take over the pack. Every day was a reminder of what we loss, and the responsibilities they left behind. so when I got the letter to train in your program, I jumped at it. What I didn't tell anyone was that my report date was months away, but I needed to get away from my pack. So I told them I had to leave right away; I didn't know where I was going, all I knew was that I couldn't be at Blue Raven anymore. It felt like I was suffocating, like I was trapped, so once I got the invite, I couldn't get away fast enough.

I ended up just traveling visiting other packs. I usually stay in a pack a couple of weeks, until I got approve to visit another pack. I had three months left before I had to report to the camp for training. When I got to flaming wolf pack, I literally ran into the most beautiful she wolf I had ever seen in my life.” “Wait! Did this fool just call a female who isn't his wife the most beautiful woman he has ever seen?” Mina asked looking at her cousins to make sure she wasn't hearing shit. “Yea his stupid ass said that dumb shit, what kinda bullshit you on?” Shawna asked Montego. “That's not how I meant it, I was only speaking at how I felt back than before I met Lynn.” Montego hurriedly cleared up the confusion looking at Lynn, to make sure she understood. When she nodded, he took a deep breath and continued.

“So, Back than I was young and looking for something to fill the void, that was left in my heart after losing my parents, Shyne filled that void. At the time I thought I had met my mate, because in my mind there was no way that she filled that void so effortlessly without being my mate. I knew I had to leave in order to be the strong mate she needed. So before I left, she decided that since we already knew that we were other half mates that we should mark each other. I only agreed because I thought I was in love with her, and believed that we were other half mates. Plus we were young and not old enough to actually be mated, so I thought it was no big deal. After that, I left and started training, at first, we wrote each other often, but as time went on, we lost touch.

You already know they don't need a reason, they just don't like our asses.” Mina said to Lucky. Who actually had to think back and nodded her had in agreement with Mina. “Can we please just calm the hell down, there is nothing we can do about it from here, and as of now nothing has happened. The jet is ready to go and we have no more time to wait.” Makahi mind linked Montego. “Ok, alpha we will meet you at the pack house.” Montego responded. “Lynn, we need to leave, but this conversation isn't over, we will figure this out.” Montego said looking into Lynn's eyes, which said she didn't believe him one bit, but he would prove her wrong. “Grandma Mylan we need to figure out how to make me the twins’ protectors. Lynn shouldn't have to sacrifice not being able to have kids because of me.” Ji'lahni said, as she paced the conference room. “It doesn't work like that, the moon goddess chose Lynndoria. We didn't learn much about the Omni twins because there were none for hundreds of thousands of years. This all started because some Gods and Goddesses are trying to get into heaven and defeat the King of Kings.” Mylan said shaking her head sadly.

How could you keep something like that from me, before you told everyone else?” Montego asked, his anger building with every word he said. He felt utterly betrayed, he shouldn't have had to find out like this in front of everyone. “See I told you daddy the humans are all liars, momma told me to never trust them, they have no loyalty to anyone but themselves.” Monteza said stepping from behind Montego. “Uh lil girl Imma need you to go back to the pack house and wait for us there.” Ji'lahni said stepping forward to escort Monteza out of the clinic. “I'm not going anywhere, I am here with my father, so you can't make me leave.” Monteza whined. Ji'lahni stopped in her tracks and closed her eyes, and counted. She didn't know this little girl so she was trying not to snatch her ass up like she does her
