The soldiers and troops could see the dynamic between the Oda forces and the Tokugawa forces. Despite their long-time hostility throughout history, both Nobunaga and Ieyasu were able to fight together without getting into an internal conflict. Not many people know of what happened between Ieyasu and Nobunaga and how their alliance came to be, however the people cannot deny how great the both of them work together.

When he said those words, I felt a chill run down my spine. His serious expression followed by a smirk kind of scared me. I pushed him away and I rode my horse. I didn't utter a single word. I rode back to Mino and into the Palace where my father and Nobuhide were waiting."Kicho, why did you run off like that?" My father said. I quickly knelt down and bowed before him."I'm sorry for what I've done. I have no excuse for trying to run away." I said. I felt my father's hand on my shoulder and I lift my head up. He took my hand and pulled me up to stand."Kicho, this is Oda Nobuhide, Oda Nobunaga's father." My father said while motioning to Nobuhide. I bowed to him and gave him my greetings. Nobunaga wasn't far behind me. He entered the Palace looking smug."Nobunaga, I see you've found the princess." Nobuhide said to his son. He just got lucky. I scoffed. When we took back Mino, Nobunaga had instructed Hideyoshi to rebuild the castle. In my memory, I remember clearly how the Gifu castle looked like. I was lucky enough to get a chance to visit the said castle back in my time. Who would've thought that I would be able to see the Gifu Castle when it was first restored."Would you like to visit the castle?" Nobunaga asked me. I quickly agreed and accepted his offer. I would definitely want to see it after all this time. Nobunaga and I traveled to Mino where the Gifu Castle was. Hideyoshi did a good job restoring the castle and now it's almost complete. The men who were under the previous daimyo had deflected and pledged their allegiance to the Oda forces. Nobunaga stationed them at the Gifu Castle as guards and as a reserve army."We're nearing the castle." Nobunaga told me. We were riding a horse when I saw the castle in the distance. I got excited when I had my first glimpse of Gifu Castle. It was magnificent.

Nobunaga didn’t waste any time once he was back in Gifu. He prepared his army and informed them of their march to Echizen. Nobunaga told me about how Asakura Yoshikage wasn’t present at the banquet. He saw this as an act of betrayal by the Asakura Clan and he didn’t want that. I knew of his intentions and I knew this was bound to happen but this battle is different. Nobunaga will not be able to win this time. I made sure to attend the war councils to listen to Nobunaga’s plans and how he was going to approach this.

Neither the emperor nor the chancellor knew what to say. All of us already knew who the young lady the letter was referring to. I kept quiet and waited for my father’s orders.
