Author's Note

Hello everyone,

Thank you for being on this journey with me. Emlyn and Richie's story wrote itself in my head and while it wasn't meant to be the first of the next generation books, it pushed it's way forward. I know this book went through some emotional roller coasters, so thank you for sticking with it.

Because it was the first in the series, I gave glimpses and hints of the other stories that I'm planning to write. Lily and Aolis's story is next up. I'm going to take a break for the rest of the year, but early January, be on the look out for Enchanting the Prince. I know some of you mentioned wanting to see more of Lily's strength when Emlyn was in Araphrya, but my focus wasn't on Lily. You'll see plenty of her strength in her book and since we'll be in Araphrya, we'll get to see all sorts of fun, magical creatures.

In addition to Lily and Aolis, I have a plan to write Xander and Maeve's story, Leana's story, and Cayd's story. I'm debating on Malin, Quinn and Riley. I may do a group of novellas for them, something lighter and more fun, rather than the issues that the others will face. We already know that Malin and Quinn aren't good Lunas, so no telling what trouble they could get into learning how to help their mates run a pack. I also have some ideas for Reagan. Her book will be in a timeframe much later than the others and very different, since she is so much younger than the others, and not really close to any of them.

The first four books will run mostly parallel to each other in the timeline. This way, you'll get to see how the fae war, the vampire war and the witch war all started and how they resolved. All of those battles took place around the time that the packs were being attacked by Alpha Wyatt, so while there is overlap, they are definitely their own stories.

For those of you reading The Arena, it will be my focus now until it's done. It's also very close to the end and unfortunately, I'm still trying to fight this illness and it's made it hard to write that book, in particular. However, I'm going to push through and finish it in the next week. There will be a second book in that series as well, The Dark Protector, but that won't come out until mid-January. I want to get Enchanting the Prince started before I start Avani's story.

If this was the first book of mine that you've read, I would suggest going back and reading the original trilogy. It tells the stories of the parents and how they got together which may give you some historical basis for some of the things that I write in the current books.

And, as always, I can't thank you enough for your support in my writing. I appreciate all of your kind words and your comments. Even if you're mad at the direction I'm taking the book, I still appreciate your thoughts.

I hope you all have a very happy holiday season! Happy New Year and I'll see you again after the first of the year.

This is the first of your books I’ve read and I loved it. You are a very talented author. Well, I can’t say I read all of it as I used the audio while doing chores and such things. But it definitely made them pass more quickly ... I do hope you do more of your books as audios as well. Keep up (cont)
