“HAYDEN ENOUGH!” A firm and intimidating voice from the previous alpha and my father, Venic shouted at me. I didn’t care.
“ALPHA HAYDEN, STOP!” Then another voice shouted at me but it held a worried tone and it came from only a down-to-earth brother and a pack doctor, Henry but I didn’t listen.
I kept slaughtering rogues by ripping them with my bare hands although they were lifeless already. I kept shredding them as if they were just a piece of paper and I didn’t care if I was already bathing with their stinking blood. This is who I am now; a ruthless-heartless monster and I can’t stop. I already had sunk this deep.
“HAYDEN!” but someone still could reach out to my sanity, Harriett, my sister, and pack gamma called out to me with her firm and commanding gamma voice.
I halted but the turmoil still burned around my chest making me growled as I walked back to them. I'm still looking for blood but meeting my siblings’ worried eyes, I clicked my tongue as I looked away. I don’t want them to see me like this but I can’t go to where I used to be.
“Next time, call me Alpha.” Being an Alpha, I don’t tolerate being disrespected and growled as I passed Harriett.
“And next time, remember we’re here for you. You’re not alone anymore, Hayden. You’re our sister.” Harriett firmly countered despite the shiver on her body. She won’t be my strongest female gamma if she can’t stand tall in front of me, an alpha.
“Please believe in us.” Then Harriett’s words have been continued with a caring voice from Henry. He was always the kind one among the three of us and the youngest that we both wanted to protect.
“I do but Harriett, Henry you know that I’m in so deep. I can’t go back to the Hayden you once knew.” I sighed but coldly reminded them of what I could no longer do after what I had been through.
“Hayden…” my father was about to say something when Henry beat him to it.
“Hayden, can you tell us what happened there to make you change like this?” Henry’s worried voice stung my heart but I quickly masked it and walked away.
“HAYDEN!” My father shouted again but I couldn’t stay and gave them an answer as for now, I’m still not over it. I still loathed it.
“Clean this up and make a report,” I commanded as I dodged answering what made me turn like this in twenty years since it was still fresh in my mind.
I know they were worried but I just can’t open it up. I sighed and cleaned myself of the nasty blood all over my body. I was soaking myself in the shower when my mind played a moment with her.
‘We’re mates.’
With that, I quickly cut it by punching a hole over the shower wall. My emotions were haywire whenever my mind drifted in those times. I hate it but it kept happening whenever the rain poured heavily. It easily reflected the sadness swirling around my chest. I might be already a changed alpha but the wound engraved deeply inside my heart was something truly hard to heal. It needed to be out but I can’t without losing me. I gritted my teeth yet a growl of pain still managed to escape from my lips.
“But sadly, not anymore,” I muttered under my gritted teeth before recollecting myself as I controlled my emotions and finished my bath to do my usual routine as the she-alpha of my pack.

Annoyed with the paperwork, I decided to ditch and have some walks. I was just roaming around the house while trying to hide from my grandfather since I didn’t want to be nagged with the same topic. But my feet dragged me into another spot with the pack house’s perimeter where the old and unused area was.
“Is this…” I muttered but the eerie energy wrapping around here made me speechless. I know this place from the younger memory I had when I was just ten.
It was the huge garden that was once filled with healthy wisteria willow trees and different colors of roses making this area look mystical and majestic but now, it’s not. It has no color anymore. Everything was dark, creepy, and dead like an abandoned mausoleum. But one thing hasn’t moved or ruined much.
“It’s still standing still…” I muttered as I approached the old, dusty, and wet grand piano. I faintly smile as I touch the keys recalling my childhood memories that were once filled with laughter and joy.
“So much for innocent lives.” It made me miss my childhood days when I had no worries or fear of anything. All they knew was how to live happily but growing old, and aging, you started to be tainted with negatives that came from different roots until you forgot to be happy.
“Please, save my heart…” I whispered my longing prayer until I pressed the keys on the grand piano which still had its tone.
I was just pressing different keys on the piano when the eerie energy began to swirl around making the dead trees and bushes seem to move. Being a werewolf, I was already passed to all creepy things as I didn't care about the rustling and cracking sound echoing in my background. I kept making random melodies until I stopped since the piano's keys ghostly moved. I would jump if I’m not who I am but when I glanced to my side, I saw a figure of a charming fair lady.
“Who are you?” I calmly asked despite the translucent figure of the lady. She looked like a ghost but she wasn’t. I could tell she was alive but asleep.
‘Hm, someone knows and is close to the family.’
“Feels like it but am I the only one who could see you?” I wondered since I felt familiar to her but I couldn’t tell when or where we met or have we even met before. Yet, I can’t deny we knew each other.
‘Perhaps.’
“Then why me? I mean, why show up to me?” Seeing her smile, somehow I felt at ease and wondered.
‘This is my area and with you putting melody around here, it will now change. It will do the same to you since your heart will start to yearn for what it lost.’
“That’ll be wishful thinking.” I scoffed since I didn’t believe it anymore but at the same time, she knew exactly what my heart was longing for.
‘I’m not saying about your first but someone will come and even if you deny it, you can’t stop it. You’ll yearn for it.’
“Whoever it is, hope it’ll accept me.” I sighed as I wiped the tears that were threatening to fall.
‘She will.’
I gave her my scrutinizing look making the lady sweetly chuckle while shaking her head then vanished. But the lady didn’t just vanish since she left something that was unknowingly rooted in my heart.
‘She’ll come when the right time comes. She’ll heal you. She’ll wake me. She’ll destroy everything who wronged her and her loved ones. You better keep her safe. Protect her. Secure her. Love my daughter, Alpha Hayden.’
Somewhere in the past, where once Roxanne had dreamed before, there was somebody—a woman walking back and forth restlessly. This young woman was a doctor and was restless as she waited for her supernatural friends to arrive at their meeting place just around the border between the city and the woods. Kathy Morison kept checking her wristwatch when a vampire man, Simon, popped behind her, followed by a werewolf woman, Isabella, carrying a young body.‘Jesus. Don’t pop like that.’‘Sorry, but we’ve got her.’‘Oh finally.’Isabella, who had been carrying the young girl, was handed into the doctor’s arms. She smiled with recognition as she took notice of the young girl's resemblance to her best friend, the young girl's b
EpilogueHAYDEN“Well, Roxanne came from the strongest bloodline, both werewolf and vampire, while, you were blessed with a fallen spirit wolf, which is unpredictable since they were spirits. So, if I base it on my previous job in the council, their situation will be considered, but for safety, you still need to be careful as they were born different from any of our kind.” Ralphie gave us a direct and honest answer before adding his advice. “Keep watching them and make a journal of their growing journey as well as their appetite. It will help you in case the councils or nobles go after them.”“Thanks, Uncle. We appreciated it.” Roxanne thanked her uncle when Avery went to her side, making her pick our cute little troublemaker.“No worries, they’re my blood too, and I will protect them at all costs.” Ralphie smiled with as
HAYDENIt has been an hour or maybe even more ever since my wife has been taken inside the operating room to deliver our triplets. I was agitated, and my body trembled in worry, making my mother and grandmother sit beside me. Their presence was enough to calm me, but the negative racing thoughts were still bothering me until here it went. We all heard it. I heard it; I even felt it. The sound of my wife’s scream made the entire land crumble as if the earth was opening. I feel her pain passing throughout my entire body like I was giving birth too, but honestly, there was something different here. I could feel blood and life leaving me, making me sit on the ground, and my surroundings started to spin.“Hayden, breathe.” I heard Yuna’s soothing voice while my mother gently patted my back.
HAYDENUnwanted ruckus erupted throughout the woods and partly around town, but everything was bearable until my agitation began stirring again. Then Roxanne’s annoyed and disgusted voice echoed around my ears.‘Honey, feel me. He got me.’As I heard those words, I knew for sure what happened. I feel her, and I am fuming as I dash to where she is. Like lightning, I arrived on time, but my wife was losing consciousness, and I had to be careful since they were already near her.“Not for long, asshole.” Roxanne weakly whispered, and then she passed out, and everything in my surroundings turned dark and bloody.
ROXANNEAs everything is plotted and ready in place, here they come—rogues and nomads. It was the brewing storm that my wife had been sensing ever since I was crowned two nights ago and what fear Hayden was for my safety, but not now. I didn’t need it as they ran like wild animals despite being in human form and neglected my wife’s warning veil that added to the pack’s defense.“Come close.” I sinisterly whispered as I activated the first layer of my wrath. The first layer was threatening malice that brought their fury to the surface, which I enjoyed. They began to take on their true form, but the malice was not simply causing their rage. It was gradually trapping them in their dreams. Although some managed to flee and run through th
HAYDENThe power that the Moon had given to me has been flowing smoothly around my body as I decided to release my decagram star. I let it steam up to the sky, which overlapped my wife’s rose thorn barrier that she put to the entire pack’s perimeter. It served as protection and warning for all of us, and with my added powers, I made sure to scare all of the threatening creatures trying to ruin our pack’s peace.“Veil by veil, layer by layer, secures and cloaks the entire land with unyielding protection,” I softly whispered as I released my powers in layers.By layering my powers throughout the entire perimeter, I felt the sudden stir tingling my arms, which indicated the kills that my layering powers could do. It began killing some r
