Shaking. I’m shaking too much to something I wasn’t prepared to dream of.

‘Kill them all. Make sure no one escapes.’

In the deepest abyss of the darkest side of night creatures’ realm, an amused voice spread out a command that forced lower creatures to obey. I can’t bear to witness what was about to unfold before my sight. But the slaughtering and mass murdering erupted terror at the once peaceful small rural village. I know nobody survived there. There was no sign of life left and the murderers were gone. I thought the nightmare was done and I was going to wake up but when the heavy rain started to wipe out the flames engulfing the entire area. But something caught my feet and followed the trail of blood on the ground where I found one survivor.

‘Help…me…’

A cold, raspy, and fragile voice from a young girl made my body move, and I quickly dug up the pile of bodies but sadly, I couldn’t. I can’t help the owner of the voice. I groaned in frustration as I was no help to this survivor.

‘H-help…m-me…’

I wasn’t sure why I felt my heart was shattered into pieces hearing a plea to be saved. She was losing her life until I heard footsteps coming near the area and they were searching among the corpses. I wanted to do something in case they were the murderers until they heard her pleas.

‘OVER HERE! I FOUND HER!’

‘Quiet down stupid. We don’t want them to snoop around here.’

‘Whatever. Let’s just save her as our oath to do so.’

I wondered what they meant as they pulled out the weakened body of a beautiful young girl with deep red hair that reflected thick blood. I was mesmerized by how she had a fair beauty with a charm that I couldn’t escape from. I wanted to be with this young girl but it was just a dream that looked real.

‘Woah.’

‘That’s new.’

Their reaction caught my attention when I noticed some thick and deadly rose thorns began wrapping protectively around them however it was not just protecting the young girl, it was also striking lifeless bodies around the area to gather the remaining essence of their blood.

‘Yeah, she’s the rarest among her kind.’

‘Hey lass, you’re saved.’

‘You’re safe with us.’

Hearing those words, I finally saw the young girl’s orbs that struck my heart. Her eyes held a piercing blood shade making me sniff the air swirling around her. Rainfall and rose with blood stains. She was mine but this was just a dream.

‘We are your guardians that your parents assigned to you.’

‘We’re going to take you somewhere safe.’

‘But we have to seal you until the right time comes.’

‘For now, you need to be safe.’

‘You need to grow as a Morison.’

‘Sleep well, young lass.’

‘Till we meet again.’

I didn’t understand what they were talking about until the young girl’s savior, the werewolf woman placed her hand over her head and chanted, the rose thorns slowly retracted back to the young girl’s body. All the wounds that the young body just received were healed apart from the scar on the corner of her eyebrow. Later, it was followed by tons of moving chains that began wrapping and locking all over the young girl’s body. The young girl’s hair changed into dark and her eyes went dark hazel before she fell asleep in their arms.

‘All set.’

‘Then let’s take her to Kathy. She’s already waiting.’

‘Let’s go. We have to keep watching her.’

‘Notify your pack about the event here.’

‘They already know but this one, they had to.’

‘Let’s go.’

I was not sure what just happened or their reason for sealing but if it was for the young girl’s safety then I don’t have any complaints since she’s mine. My mate…
