Alpha only set me down when we had returned to the packhouse. Staying on his back had to be the most calming experience for me since moving here. It completely dissolved my anger from before.

"Thanks for coming through for me," I swallowed awkwardly, "I'll head into my bedroom now."

I didn't want him to say anything as I sprinted into my room. It was already really late to begin with anyway. I laid on my back and got carried away by sleep.
