I don't know why but I immediately froze to the ground. I couldn't take her hand, I just stared blankly at her. Alpha Kaden didn't take his eyes off of her.

When she saw that I wasn't going to be accepting her handshake, she took her hand down and cleared her throat, "anyway, I saw some of your men and they're really busy so it might take a while for my things to get here, and I do need a shower so badly so I'll take one of your clothes, that's fine, isn't it?"

"Your things?" Alpha didn't sound very pleased.

"I figured you'd need emotional support," she nodded, "so here I am." Her eyes turned to me and a frown etched her facial features, "and why are you still here?"

I caught myself, I don't know why hearing that he had mate was taking a toll on me. "I was... I was j- just leaving." I lowered my head and attempted to walk past her to head out of the packhouse, only for alpha Kaden to hold my arm sharply.
