I was glued to the floor after Alpha made the announcement and pulled me into the car with him. "Great, my reputation has been ruined, you didn't even give me a chance to leave an impression on them."

"I was still lingering around taking to the teachers, of course, I had to intervene, you belong to me and if anyone tried to do something to harm you, it's only sensible that I step in."

I should be mad but heading him say the words made me blush.

"I don't think I can show my face in there ever again, this is so not how I planned my last year's in school to go," I told him.

"Of course you will, now they know not to mess with you," he shrugged, his eyes fixed on the road, "do you want me to take you home? No one's going to be at the pack house, border patrol has doubled in its intense care now."

"No, just drop me off at the lake you took me to on my birthday," I sighed, looking out the window. If patrol was heavy like he said, the chances were that my mum was also away from home.
