Chapter 2

Author: Perfect Timing
In my past life, my short videos accidentally went viral, and I became an internet celebrity with millions of followers.

Meanwhile, Emma got fired from the preschool due to her habit of stealing. As an unemployed freeloader, she moved into the luxury apartment I had just bought, spending my money lavishly every single day.

Even though I was paying for everything, she couldn't even stay out of trouble. She constantly stole food deliveries from other residents in our complex.

One day, the pregnant neighbor next door caught her red-handed. But instead of apologizing, Emma started screaming obscenities at the woman.

"What are you yelling about? Haven't you ever had takeout in your life? I can't believe you're living in such an upscale complex when you look like that! You're probably sleeping around to pay rent!"

The seven-month pregnant woman got angry and fired back at her. "You're a thief, yet you still have the nerve to act tough? You truly have no manners!"

Emma had always been arrogant and couldn't stand being called rude. She immediately shoved the pregnant woman to the floor. She even had the audacity to mock her while claiming to be me.

"I'm Anna Anderson, an influencer with millions of followers! One livestream makes me more money than you'll see in a lifetime. A cheap slut like you could never afford my lifestyle. I'm doing you a favor by even touching your trashy food."

The pregnant woman started hemorrhaging badly. Emma was forced to follow the ambulance to the hospital. But the doctors couldn't save the pregnant woman, and both mother and baby died.

Emma just threw down a 50-dollar bill to humiliate the family before walking away.

"Still trying to rip me off? I mean, that woman might've been carrying a dead baby for all I know! Your family probably did so many terrible things! That's why you lost both of them!"

The next day, Emma heard that the pregnant woman's husband was coming after her with a kitchen knife. Feeling guilty, she hid away but deliberately tricked me by claiming she had lost her keys and needed me to come open the door.

I felt sorry for her being stuck outside in the freezing winter, so I immediately dropped my work and rushed over to help her.

Little did I know that the moment I reached our front door, the grief-stricken husband would slash my neck artery with a single strike, killing me on the spot.

Right after I died, my boyfriend, Noah Johnson, happened to arrive and found Emma trembling in the stairwell. He held her and comforted her instead.

After my death, everyone reviled me. They all said I deserved to die, while my parents chose to cover up my sister's crimes.

Emma even put on an act, coming forward to apologize on my behalf. She profited from my death while hooking up with my boyfriend. The two of them became a couple blogging duo who made a fortune.

As I recalled the tragic death I suffered in my past life, I let out a sharp breath. I grabbed the "Out of Order" signs from a storage closet next to the elevators and blocked off both elevators.

Just as I finished, I saw the pregnant woman's furious family members approaching. They glanced at the elevators, then quickly headed for the stairwell. I put the signs back in their original place before slowly following them upstairs, my lips curling into a smile with every step I took.

When I reached the fifth-floor landing, I heard a piercing scream from above. I didn't need to guess. The victim's family had already discovered Emma hiding in the corner of the sixth-floor stairwell.

Listening to Emma's terrified cries filled me with dark satisfaction. Just like she had done in my past life, I hid behind the door to watch the show unfold.

Mom and Dad loved Emma, but only because she used to get good grades. She was great at sweet-talking and acting well-behaved, and whatever she did made them look good.Meanwhile, I was antisocial, not a people-pleaser, and unpopular. Few people wanted to deal with me.Later, my parents started treating me a little better, only because I became an internet celebrity and made enough money to cover their living costs. They knew I earned a lot from my online sales, so they quit their jobs and became freeloaders at home.I had cut off their allowance a few days ago, so they naturally weren't willing to let it go and came to condemn me. Looking at my parents' greedy, disgusting faces, I couldn't hold back anymore and confronted them in front of all the onlookers."You keep listing my so-called crimes, but why don't you ever talk about how you abused me? When we were kids, Emma got formula, while I got water. "She got new clothes, and I got her leftovers. When Emma failed tests, you bea

Mom and Dad had always favored Emma with all their hearts. Even though Emma had brought this on herself, they blamed me for everything. In my past life, when they learned of my death, my parents didn't shed a single tear. Instead, they blamed my death for causing them trouble and giving Emma a bad reputation for having a murderer for a sister. They used my social media account to post that someone like me didn't deserve to be their daughter. They even declared that I would definitely go to the deepest pits of hell for being so evil. The three of them never claimed my body and just let the police cremate it. While I was being turned into ashes, my parents had taken Emma on a vacation.Mom had said to the police, "My precious daughter was traumatized by her sister's actions, so we're taking her away to help her recover. "As for Anna, just bury her wherever you see fit. That evil murderer doesn't deserve to be buried near other family members!"Remembering all the ways my parents h

Everyone around gasped in disbelief, truly not expecting such a dramatic reversal. Now the crowd turned their attacks on Emma."My God, this woman tried to use someone else to kill her own sister!""Disgusting! She's absolutely rotten. If her sister didn't have evidence, she would've been murdered by now!""That guy's messed up too, teaming up with his girlfriend's sister to frame her. They're probably sleeping together!""I've never seen this woman go to work since she moved in. She's probably jealous of her sister's money, so she pulled this stunt!""They say to watch out for fire, theft, and fake friends, but it turns out you need to watch out for your own family too! You truly don't know who's out to get you!"Emma was still shouting desperately, "It wasn't me! It was Anna! That bitch did it!"Unfortunately, her protests were useless now. No one was on her side anymore. She panicked even more, frantically shaking Noah's arm and begging him to keep defending her."Noah, plea

My left cheek had a horrifying old scar running from the corner of my eye down to my chin. With tears in my eyes, I said slowly, "I have an injury on my face. That glamorous person in the video isn't me!"Last week, while livestreaming at a factory in Calford, I got slashed by a knife, and it left a scar that ruined my face. That's why I'm wearing a mask."Everyone around me gasped, clearly not expecting this twist. Emma and Noah were also stunned. The scar on my face was raised and purplish-red, looking like a giant snake. When Emma snapped back to reality, she glared at me viciously and questioned me frantically, "Anna, how could you do this to your face?"Suddenly, her eyes shifted as she continued to throw dirt on me. "That scar has to be fake! You just want me to be your scapegoat! You're jealous because Mom and Dad always loved me more, so now you're scheming to get me killed."Seeing Emma crying in his arms, Noah grabbed me by the hair and dragged me in front of her, forcin

The moment I finished speaking, everyone at the scene turned to look at Emma.Emma noticed how I wasn't panicking at all and had directly called her out. A flash of disbelief flickered in her eyes. She had always seen me as someone she could easily manipulate. Seeing me suddenly stand up for myself clearly caught her off guard. Her eyes immediately turned red as she accused me tearfully. "Anna, how can you slander me like that? I'm your twin sister, and I'm absolutely certain that the person in that phone video is you. "We're twins! You deliberately wore a mask today and tricked me into coming here. You're obviously feeling guilty and don't dare show your face, trying to make everyone think I'm the killer!"The people who had been somewhat suspicious of Emma now all turned against me."My God, this influencer lady has no conscience at all. She's actually framing her own sister.""It's definitely her. She should be arrested and locked up for life!"The pregnant woman's husband

Emma clearly hadn't expected the pregnant woman's family members to come up the stairs. Before she could react, the pregnant woman's husband grabbed her by the hair and dragged her to the hallway that still had bloodstains from his wife. Emma screamed in agony."You witch! You think being an internet celebrity makes you special? You killed my wife and son, so today I'm sending you straight to hell!"My whole family was finally blessed with a child, and you destroyed everything! Why didn't you die instead? You're a piece of trash!"The other family members helped drag Emma around, hitting and kicking at her. They made so much noise that residents from the same floor and neighboring floors came out to watch.Emma had always acted superior to everyone, so all the neighbors hated her. When they heard she had killed someone, seeing her get beaten made them cheer."This little witch always acted like she was so high and mighty. She totally deserves this!""In the six months since she
