Biting my lip, I quiver at the thought of having his baby. It was not supposed to be this way. I should be having a baby with Mike. I need to know how far I am, but I need to keep it a secret from Ted. How? I have no idea. Splashing more water on my face to hide the redness in my eyes, I grabbed a towel and dried my face. I set the towel down and took a deep breath as I turned to head for the door.

“Violet.” I heard from the other side of the door. I froze in my spot. It was too soon to tell him anything and I didn't want him catching on right now. Closing my eyes and taking a deep, sharp breath, I put my hand on the handle of the door and slowly opened it.

“There you are.” Ted grinned as soon as he saw me. “Thought you ran again.” He pulled me to him, wrapping his arms around my waist.

“...no.” I softly said, leaning towards him. I am too tired and weak to fight with him right now.
