After hours of meetings, I was finally able to check the cameras before my final meeting, seeing Violet by the pool. Man, she was so beautiful. I could not believe she was mine and soon to be the mother of my child. I sat there staring at her, the sun hitting that amazing body of hers, when I saw Cody come in the picture.

“What are you doing?” I bounced my foot on the floor, growing impatient. He knows better than to do anything to her anymore. I could've sworn I made myself clear.

Watching as he walks over to the lounger next to Violet, I sit back and see if he tries anything. Trying to make out what is going on, I see she is starting to become trouble. Since there was no sound, I could only assume she was being difficult.

“One day. One day is all I ask.” I sigh, running my hand through my hair. I reached over and grabbed my glass, downing the last of the amber liquid.

Watching as she gets up and walks into the house, I wait to see what Cody will do. Not seeing him move, I focus
