Violet

Looking over at the door, I was in total shock at what was going on. All I knew was that Cody was on the floor getting punched and kicked in the sides and stomach. Everything was happening so fast, I couldn't tell who was who or what was going on. All I knew was there were two men beating Cody. My eyes were blurry with tears as I watched the scene in front of me.

“Vi.” I heard in the distance, my gaze still fixed on what was going on in the doorway. “Vi!” The voice got louder as I felt a hand on my shoulder. Jumping in fear it was Ted, I tried to get away from them.

“Get away from me!” I screamed, trying to cover myself up as I moved back on the bed.

“Vi...it's me...Alex.” I shook my head, looking at the form standing in front of me. That and those blue eyes that I knew looked at me with worry and concern. “Put this on.” Alex handed me his shirt that he took off so I could cover up my still naked body.

“How?” I softly said as I slid his shirt over my head. I was in disbelie
