Chapter 10 - working for the enemy.

"Hello?" Georgia asked as she answered the phone.

"Miss Alcott, I'm calling from the employment agency. We have a new job opportunity for you."

Georgia got out of bed and started pacing in the small hallway of her house. It had been about three weeks since she lost her job and the woman was about to go crazy. At that point, she was willing to accept any proposal. The food in the fridge was about to run out and her grandmother had a medical appointment for which she needed money.

"Tell me!" she asked excitedly.

"It's at the restaurant where you used to work," the girl on the other end of the phone explained.

Georgia frowned "but it can't be possible, are you sure of what you're telling me?"

"Yes, apparently the company has changed owners and they're making a restructuring of the employees. They know your work and want to reintegrate you into the team."

This seemed too strange to Georgia. Those kinds of coincidences don't happen in real life, besides, why would they sell the restaurant?
