Amelia's pov

I am paralyzed. Completely fucking paralyzed as I watch her body sink into the water down below. The air had left my lungs and my heart, I wasn't sure where it had gone actually.

The sound of the impact alone was terrifying. The quietness around as Pickett's body plunge into the water made my blood boil. None had done anything to help her or stop Dayna.

My body finally kicked into action and I sprint toward the pool, my heart pounding as I noticed Pickett had not emerged out of the water yet or try to.

"Oh look, Miss super hero to the rescue!" I can hear Dayna's shrill voice sharply through the air and I ignore her.
