AURORA POV I looked at Connor as he stood in the kitchen frozen with broken glass all around him on the floor. “Who the hell told you that?” He asked. “No one told me. No one had to. I thought it was Miles at first, but he doesn’t have a reason to not take care of her or the baby. You do have a reason. Me.” I said. “You figured it out on your own?” “That and everyone starts acting really weird around me whenever I ask about the baby. And they get even weirder when I say that it’s Miles’ baby.” I said. “Shit. Look, there’s no proof that it’s mine. She said that it was. I don’t know if that’s true. I ended up falling asleep in that tree but I woke up the next morning in the spare bedroom and Connor was asleep next to me. A little while later someone knocked on the door and I knew that I was the only one home so I got up and I went to answer the door. Stacy was standing there holding her newborn baby, looking really exhausted and I invited her in. “Is everything alright?” I asked. “I don’t know. I haven’t slept in three days.” She said, putting the baby bag on the table. “Alright. Give him here to me. There is a spare bedroom downstairs. It was a basement but Miles turned it into a bedroom. We ran through the woods faster than I thought possible. It was really good to let Elsa out like this. I just wish it was for another reason. But I was determined to get there, hoping that we were going to get there before the pack was attacked. But nothing is ever that simple. We made it to the pack in record time but it was completely silent. There was no one there. No one was around. Not a sound except for some crackling of the buildings that were on fire. We couldn’t find anyone in the pack except a few dead people that obviously put up a fight and lost. We started checking every house. Every building. Even the packhouse. I heard Connor get back to the house and I quickly put a thick bandage over the injury and I pulled my shirt down again. I didn't want him to see it because he would have too many questions and I didn't have the answers to any of them. This was just something else that was in the question mark zone. Which was getting bigger by the day. I went back to the living room and Connor was standing there with Evelyn and Hadley. I knew that something was going on, but none of them were speaking. Connor called a meeting with the warriors and they all gathered in the training field. He explained what happened to the two warriors and everyone were starting to throw their own opinions towards us as to what could possibly have happened to them. Connor put his arms around my waist and pulled me closer and he started kissing me again. I turned to face him fully this time and I got up on my knees and put my arms around his neck. I started playing with the hem of his shirt and he finally grabbed his shirt and pulled it straight off over his head. I looked down at his perfectly chiseled body and I ran my fingers over his abs, while he was watching me. He pulled the strap of my shirt off of my shoulder and he started kissing down my neck again and he pulled my shirt off of me in one quick move. Connor and I were laying in bed and his chest was flush up against my back and he was lightly kissing my shoulder. “Are you alright?” He asked. “Yeah. I feel great.” I said, yawning.
