CHAPTER 88

It took us two days to get back to Arthur’s castle, and I was surprised to see that the damage from the attack was already fixed. His men worked pretty quickly around here.

Even though it had only been two days, my stomach had swollen a lot more than it was when I killed Mila. I was actually a little curious to know how far along I was now. Because I had no idea and there was no way of telling until I got home.

As soon as we got to the castle we were greeted with a hero’s welcome. It had already spread across the land that the black witch was dead. And the whole realm was rejoicing and celebrating the news.

“You’re a local hero around here. Are you sure you want to leave?” Arthur asked.

“As much as I think this place is beautiful, it’s not home.” I said.

“I know. Come on, let’s go and see what they’ve found out.” He said.

So we went inside and there were people scattered everywhere over two rooms of the castle.

“Your majesty.” A woman said, bowing her head for Arthur.
