"I should get going. I have a new location toady." Hayley said, getting up and brushing off her pants.

"Be careful out there." Kane told her.

Hayley had to patrol the edge of the town by herself. She had no problem doing it when it's daytime.

This night seemed extra dark because of the pending rain, with clouds blocking out the moon and stars.

The place was also quiet, as if it was holding its breath.

'The calm before the storm, they always say,' Hayley thought.

She wasn't feeling any better either. She still had dizzy spells, and a headache, which she pinned on the fact that her period was near.

Hayley paused for a while, when her head spun. Her mind drifted to the quietness of the forest. The usually loud forest, with it's busy night creatures, seemingly took an unasked for vacation.

There was a loud crack, like a tree branch or something.

Hayley looked around, but she didn't have night vision like the wolves,
